Shin is a beautifully written character ... so honest, fearless, devoted and mature at such a young age.
Knows what he wants and goes full speed after his first and one-and-only-love. Portrayed with so much heart, passion, sexual tension and nuance by Nishigaki Sho. Immensely talented young actor.
I cried 😢… but I'm really really really hoping for reconciliation later . . .

Just a prediction ... it will likely end with Shin going to university to become a doctor but they will maintain a long distance relationship until Shin completes his degree.

@@TakahashiTakami Yes ... the writer threw a few misleading wrenches in the preview to the finale and in the episode itself ... but gave us the ending Shin deserves.
Personally, I think the storyline dragged out Minato's obsession about his high school teacher for far too long. It never made sense how someone he didn't even know personally could have such a hold on him for over 10 years. The same could be said of Shin towards Minato ... but in Shin's case, Minato saved his life.
Instead, 11+ episodes of going around Minato's indecisiveness and Minato only coming to his senses the last few minutes.
It would have been great if the last few minutes of the last episode were in the previous episode ... and the finale spent on the couple's relationship - time jump - to see Minato's character development.
Shin was the breakout star. He was the reason I came back each week. His character - as written and performed - was mesmerizing. One for BL history.
@@sallyhu5028 Agreed, the Sakuma-sensei storyline was too drawn out. I think we could’ve gotten away with 8 episodes. However, I still thoroughly enjoyed this series. You’re right, Shin’s character was so awesome. Nonetheless, I think the actors did a great job bringing the characters to life.
