Idk why chopping wood is so fun to watch!
I hurt my back and shoulder so i haven't been able to swing my axes and do my chopping chores.
But thankfully Ben and others make content like this so i can live vicariously through them😅😅

Looking nice! Brute forge axes have been in my wishlist for a while, probably buying the "Aizkora" basque design in the future👍🏻

Well that was amazing! Hope you don't put that one to work destroying houses. Nice shirt on the drying rack as well.

Nice axe. I would be afraid to try this. I would probably split my foot.

Love it, thats an axe I've wanted to try out since he was designing it, looks like it handles well

I think the competition ax from Ochsenkopf is very well suited to spruce wood.

    Really powerful axe!

I totally understand how deliberate and accurate all of your movements are, and how aware of the danger you are, but that is a little stressful to watch, not going to lie, lol.

Hi Ben, what are your thoughts on the Fiskars x27 splitting axe, it will just be for the bits my wood splitter cannot handle

    Nice chopping Ben !
What are the particulars of that axe ?
That looks like a young spruce log, but looks like it had a knot or 3 in the pith.
Is that axe made to handle that ?
I mean, is it a work axe or a race axe ?

Its a raceing axe but ive ground it to 16° so a little tougher than for poplar. 2.3kg head with a narrower bit 6 1/2"

I got a better view of the axe this time.
    Nice looking axe !
Puts me in mind of a modernized Keech Timberman .

What is wrong with this felling: hard tree, bad axe, or axeman?

good axe but needs the bevel thinned out. looks like birch to me so should be cutting a lot nicer
