39 (Every) Murderous & Genocidal Batmen From Dark Multiverses - Backstories Explored In Detail

- You know, we think there might be some logic behind every Bat-Family member absolutely despising Batman’s infamous paranoia. I mean, at some point or the other, his extreme methods have led to disastrous consequences for the people he supposedly loves and cares about. Jason Todd died once, Dick Grayson distanced himself from Bruce because he didn’t want to become an obsessed avenger like him, and although Damien seems to be even more unrelenting than his father, we can all agree that Future State has pretty much set that right. Thus, we can all agree on the fact that all of them- Barbara, Dick, Jason, Tim, Damien, heck even Alfred- were right to be afraid of Bruce’s paranoid nature. After all, Batman’s fears and nightmares gave birth to entire galaxies of malevolence in the Dark Multiverse; most of which were populated by evil, twisted versions of the Caped Crusader himself! We’ve explored many of these individual “Dark Knights” who invaded the mainstream DC continuity here on our channel; so we thought why not make one giant list about all of them! This is every evil Batman from the Dark Multiverse - Explored.
I love all the little puns thrown in with the explanations 😂.
They help the flow of the video. 🙏👍👌

Nice video though you have some egregious pronunciation errors.
My initial reaction: all of the Batmans are evil, just different kinds of evil. :D
I’d say the Robin King is the most evil “batman” because he was always evil. Other than the Batman Who Laughs who is just evil because his mind is poisoned.
Right, but The Batman Who Laughs is so scary for the fact that it's a batman mixed with the twisted mind of the joker, iconic
Both are most terrifying in my opinion. And most insane. But Robin King is most since he was BORN EVIL. O.O
@@JenniferPoole.33272 parthunax dilemma: Is it better to be born evil or to become evil through great tragedy
He is my favorite out of them all just for the fact that his name is the robin king lol, would love to get an additional maxi series revolving around him
I’m not waaaaaay erat
The Dark Knights as a whole was a beautiful look into some of the most twisted and depraved scenarios we never thought were possible.
Well that, and offered a glimpse of just how freaking paranoid Bruce Wayne truly is.
Tales from the dark multiverse was also great (that focused on none Bruce Wayne characters lol)
I wish they would’ve made an entire series of the dark universe instead of a short event that of it. I loved those comics!

they missed THE BRUCE from batman: i, joker!
The Batman who frags, lmao
Thank you for this wish the channel would do this in his videos
@ *Seth* • Thank you! ♥️ This comment should be *pinned.*
Definitely, some missed opportunities for alternate Batmans.
*The Dark Nightmare-* A Bruce Wayne who ended up in Hal Jordan's posistion as green lantern but would later go on to fight Sinestro and take over his Yellow Lantern Corp recruiting a corp of yellow ringed robins.
*The Batom-* A Batman who acquires Captain Atom's powers.
*Black Bruce-* Bruce Wayne with the powers of Black Adam
There’s already an alternate version named Batom, but he has has the powers the Atom
@@Netherworld122 that’s a different set of abilities all together though
@@hdofu I would retort with the Batmanhattan, but I get what you mean😁
Black Bruce? That's my partner stay over in Gwinnett County...heard he's doing real good. Real good.😁...but no Cap, Black Bruce sounds like a good mashup and his weakness is a white woman and his archenemisis are Joker police who always shoots him when he's unarmed...
@@spitpropah3706 haha funny
things batman has turned himself into; a car, a dinosaur, a baby, a fucking city, a rubber duck, a lawn chair, toast, the pythagorean theorem
i remember one story where batman randomly found one of joker's cards sitting on his computer in the batcave effectively meaning that the Joker knew batmans secret and knew how to get in to the batcave undetected and instead of warning the rest of the batfamily batman told no one
Death of the Family. Around 2012/2013.
He found it in the water
To sum it up simply: The Batman who laughs comic series was one of the best series ever. Every single version of Batman and their stories was fantastically done. She did a wonderful job of showing what can happen with the simple words "What if...". I still rave about it to this day.
Oh y3ah, definitely my favourite storyline in all of DC by a long way. It's so dark and depressing, but plausible in that universe
Small nitpick: the dark multiverse earths are numbered in the negative -1, -2, -3 etc.
Damn murder machine backstory hit me in the feels. I think most of us have become insensitive to the fact of Bruce's parents dying but when it comes to Alfred it just hits alot harder because he's always junt been there by Bruce's side.
"Batman should kill his villains"
What happens when Batman kills his villains:
I know, I hate when they say he should because it "Fixes problems" when what he does literally saves the multiverse from the strongest threat in existence.
Ironically I consider this the actual reason why he doesn't, it's a form of protection from oneself's potential evil version. His greatest fear is becoming evil, and he sees prohibiting himself from killing as the only way to fundamentally isolate himself from even the slightest risk of ending up a villain. Because he knows that with an evil batman in the same universe, everyone is as screwed as it gets. So while maybe he would in a way awknoledge that killing someone would be way more effective and solve major issues, he cannot open the pandora's box by doing it once due to stakes being too high.
@@cultistaautista well that and they wouldn't stay dead regardless so it's a moot point. Killing them is just as temporary as catching them. But one is arguably morally superior and takes less resources (taking less resources half of that being an undeniable truth).
Your list is missing one evil alternate Batman, the version from the Batman & Dracula trilogy, specifically the Crimson Mist graphic novel, where Bruce comes back to life as a bloodthirsty vampire hell bent on sucking the blood of all his enemies and decapitating them
Its also missing Batman triple 6, which is future damian killing villains
I don't think those are part of the Dark Multiverse. But I could be wrong.
I never heard of either of them
Honestly I think that version of Batman didn't want to do that, because Batman. But he ended up doing it because vampire. I think after that Bruce asked Commissioner Gordon and I think Alfred to stake him so he doesn't do it again.
IDK.
That’s not a Dark Multiverse Story, it is a dark story but a common theme with all Dark Multiverse stories is either things were normal until something sends everything Spiraling out of control like Lois Lane becoming the Eradicator, killing villains and heroes or something happens to end the planet like The Batman who laughe
The Grim Knight is definitely not like The Punisher. The Grim Knight does things that The Punisher would never do. The Grim Knight, kills innocents and also kills innocent police officers too.
This is a bitchin sweet video gang, you've really outdone yourselves. Effortlessly riveting, well narrated, edited, and I even love the background slides throughout. Of course it doesn't get much cooler than dark multiverse Batman's haha makes for a great subject to tackle.
I still can't understand how Batman went from being so jacked he could fight against Bane to looking like a Crack head. I know it was because of the joker toxin but it shouldn't have changed him physically
@Man of Tomorrow See if you stop working out you lose the defination of your muscles aka looking cut, but you don't lose the mass of muscle.
So in Batmans case he would never get skinny as hell like he does when he becomes the Batman Who Laughs because he built so much muscle mass before that.
"Darker more malevolent variations of course" o.o there is a darker version of the orange lanterns, jesus....but my boy larfleez should have showed up and been like MINE MINE MINE MINE and killed that batman and then left xD
What's up, actual comic fan?
Fact's my boy what's mine is mine !
Huh
My sleep deprived brain : " So Barbatos created all Batmen. But these Batmen are all the opposite of Batman Prime. Opposites... Superman and Bizarro Superman.... Barbatos reversed is Sotabrab...Capital S... There's an equal yet opposing entity to Barbatos out there called Sotabrab that is the source of secret power for Kryptonians... WHO IS PEPE SYLVIA!? "
that’s not sleep deprivation bro you HAD to have been high 💀
did u solve this
i mean.. im not surprised by Batman having the most evil variants. cause he's insane u know. like it's canon among most Batman. that paranoia, unrelenting in the"cause". hell he even states his mind is so fragile that he needs the no kill rule. he cradles the no kill rule that done Batmen sacrifice their life on dime to save someone.
So this is really what if batman+(literally any other character) existed and was evil
10:27 A Batman with Darkseid's power is a scary thought.
The grim knight Batman and Batman hush are my favorite batmen now technically they’re not pure evil they’re just vengeful and one is overprotective consider guns the answer to everything
So pretty much Anti Villains.
They have good/noble causes but the way they are doing it is evil/bad.
@@Acacius1992batman hush was driven insane anti heroes
I kind of want to see a Joker version of the dark knights, not like Batman merged with Joker, but like different versions of Joker. That would be kind of funny, especially if the Joker versions actually appear friendly and nice.
Aka The Jester.
its been done a few times in the alternate universes but it's rarely anything as memorable. the jester is one of them
If I have learned one thing from all of this is Alfred must stay alive and well.
I need a Batman who laughs movie. Full length live action film.... LETS GOOOOOO!
It’d be too scary and violent for sensitive peoples eyes 😪
Interesting that all these evil batmans are splices of superheroes/supervillains but the one that stood at the top was a batman/joker combo
The other thing about The Darkest Knight. He cast his mind across the Omni-Verse and acquired all the knowledge and abilities of every Batman. That's more terrifying than having Dr Manhattan's powers.
Isn't the darkest night just a DC retelling of onslaught
Darkest Knight: Hurls Planets
- Cool
Darkest Knight: Hurls Insults
- Dammmmmmmmnnnnnn
What Alfred did to Bruce I could picture Jarvis doing the same to Tony Stark, Jarvis was the father that Howard wasn't. I can see what happened to Bruce happen to Tony & Tony becomes a cyborg & taking out anyone in his way.
So basically the genius of the Batman that laughs spawned almost all the greatest evil batmen
It weird how many evil Batman’s there are, some make sense but so many to the point where a god decided to recruit a group of pure evil Batman’s, it’s crazy
id love too see a dark multiverse batman who becomes a vampire and then wields a black lantern ring and commands the black lantern corps.
Barbados was interesting, but I still feel like he should've been evil Batman with the powers of Shazam. A Batman tied to magic would've completed the evil justice league theme PER-FECT-LY. I guess I had built it up in my head canon that's who he was, so when the reveal came around, I guess it was a bit of a let down to learn he was just a pet dragon of The World Forger.
The Dawnbreaker is my favorite Batman Alternate. A Green Lantern that uses Light constructs of Eldritch Horrors? I’m sold.
“ 𝘈 𝘣 𝘥 𝘰 𝘮 𝘪 𝘯 𝘢 𝘭 . ”
-Quietus, probably
Half these batmans look like they're en route to a KISS concert
Best thing about these ridiculous storylines...... The art is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I feel like there are already like three more evil batmen in the dark multiverse since this came out and it's only been out for like a month.
Love this Channel and love these videos
The batman who laughs have some mouth problems. Just look at the teeth and gums ratio. Probably his teeths are not in good shape and may fall off. He most likely would visit a dentist and probably he would calm down and laugh of joy instead of sadism.
A battle with the Punisher at this point could be interesting between the two
Grim knight and red death are my favorite evil versions of batman
I would've preferred if Barbatos really was Bruce Wayne, just one that got the powers of the Spectre - which would explain how he became such a cosmic threat.
- damn that is creepy, havin those weird ghoul Robins on leashes like that was just so horribly suggestive. Thats no batman, thats just a badman!
I like the one where Bruce and Martha got killed and Papa Wayne was a gun toteing madman, not exactly evil maybe just unlocked
I dont think martha was killed iirc she went insane and became that universe's Joker
Wasn’t there also one where Batman was fused with every single Arkham inmate?
Honestly the Batman who laughs I thought was a cool villain at first but man oh man dc really overused him to the point of insanity.
You left out the fact that Batman who laughs also started to kill of all of the leagues rougues as well as his. Then he went on to terrestrial threats. He murdered spectre(gods vengeance).
Did anyone else catch the other books on the shelf for the castle-bat story, Apparently that Bruce has a copy of both the necronomicon and The King in Yellow...
One of the best Batsie uploads I’ve ever seen :) thank you so much ⭐️👌🙏🏼
Oooook, so when Captain America and Iron Man kill its considered "Heroic"
But when Batman does it its...."Murder?" 🤔
Well neither of those two are walking a tightrope into batshit insanity and barely holding on to some semblance of reason by imposing a no kill rule as a bandaid from going full kratos mode. The bigger question is why the hell have these criminals not gotten the death penalty yet, insanity plea be damned.
@@damiansaturday6788 at the very least Joker should be on Death Row at this point. No amount of comic book logic can justify otherwise.
@@jsb6975.ah.crapbaskets exactly
BWL, Devastator, Merciless, Drowned, Dawnbreaker, Red Death Murder Machine and Mindhunter are the coolest for me. I just wish they added a Hawk Girl/Batman amalgamation version and named it the Fallen/Fallen Angel.
"Barbados made sure Bruce Wayne became the Batman....."
Dang......the s*** ran through me very coldly.
One can't help but wonder, if given a chance to directly undo Barbados' inflection ala Flashpoint-esque shenanigans, what or who the second plan would have been.
Damn that’s a lot I thought Batman was just some guy but they really went all out eventually. Batman is one of the most versatile stories ever.
Lobo left batman.who frags in a lobofied universe, with a lobofied Justice League. He took a creature of the dark Multiverse and gave it its own perfect universe I saw that is a win for both parties
21:33
Hold up, I just remembered, this Hal Jordon from Dawnbreaker's reality was saved by Doctor Fate, but whatever ever became of him later on?
I think they forgot about him lol
@@JosephPao lol, apparently.
Resuming: If everyone becomes batman and batman becomes everyone!
Chainsaw of truth?! Awesome
Bruce sure did lose a lot of weight when he became the batman who laughs
I thought there was a vampire Batman at one time. I kinda expected to see that listed.
And at some point Mcfarlane's going to make every one of them.
It's kinda weird that the video mentions owlman, who's like one of the original "what if batman was evil" stories, but doesn't have a spot for him
I think it's because he's not part of the dark knights. He even killed several of their members so ig you could call him an enemy even.
Interested to see if the unnamed Batmen that were shown will ever get one shot’s, I definitely saw a Mr Freeze, Court of Owls and even a Prometheus one
Chainsaw of truth. best amazon weapon ever.
Every universe has a Batman but not every universe has a superman.
Do you think the Nightglider is a Batman from one universe that somehow got Silver Surfer's ability in an event similar to that DC and Marvel crossover story?
I don't know if it's a coincidence or what but Sylvester Kyle being catman is kind of funny cuz all I can think about is Sylvester from the Tweety bird show
I thought that too! Then i thought of sylvester stallone in a catsuit and it madr it funnier in my head😆
greatest cave in since obito uchiha naaaaaa you did him dirty xD that was funny though at 46:25
Kinda wish there there were more Dark Multiverse variants that aren't just Batman. Like a Dark Multiverse Superman or something.
0:35 as soon as he said that he was then raided by marvel studios and taken to marvel jail where he watched iron mans deaths 1000000 times in a row on account of saying avenger for a dc universe animation. fin.
"Chainsaw of Truth"
That is hilarious.
3:45
No offense, but the Batman Who Laughs is a bit of a try-hard.
Just listen to that fake laugh. We get it Bruce, you're in a goth phase and just went with it. Fine, you be you, but you realize that this fake laugh is just hiding all that pain that's in plain sight.
The drowned is one of my favorite alternate batmans
With so many dumb and weird what-ifs I'd like to see some different takes to the entire thing.
Instead of Bruce Wayne being Batman of Gotham. What if a typical gangster like Kingpin or Penguin got super powers, but out of love and loyalty to his family. He changes his criminal empire to a vigilante to protect the city.
Imagine a fat cigar smoking super hero.
I do have to ask... why do so many think that permanently disposing of violent criminals is a bad idea?
Where would you draw the line?
@@awildfilingcabinet6239 lmao
If it’s the violence that justifies their death, then does it justify killing those who did so in self defence or under duress (kill or be killed situations?). Honestly there’s just too much nuance to consider tbh
Because we evolved beyond single lane thought processes and can understand nuance.
I think Knight Glider is meant to be some version of the Metal Men
Superman had the right idea to rip Jokers heart out. There's no redemption for that level of evil. Which is why Bruce is a failure as a crimefighter
What if Batman fell into the vat of Acid like the joker, but not poisoned by the Gas by killing joker? 🧐🧐🧐
Where is the cgi stuff coming from ? Where is the batman who laughs cgi stuff coming from ?
Slippin into darkness by war should be playing in the background
26:44 Basically Injustice if both Batman and Superman were evil.
It seems that Jessica Biel's son, Batmobiel became a teenager called Batmobeast....
The guy on the surfboard it's base on the silver surfer yes but DC has his own version for some years now if I recall correctly it "The Wave Rider" the DC version has fire hair and it's gold and blue or black suit similar to Booster Gold
I haven’t McFarlane made the hush variant of Batman yet as an action figure lol
Grim knight was seen as a hero to Gotham civilians but a villain to the police
so pretty much.
What if every villains were Batman fanatics.
Yes yes and yes this video is a godsend to me !
Great marvelous video 📹 👏
this was a great listen on a very busy day at my pizza shop! thanks
Lobo and lex Luther saving the multiverse? Lol we all learn something today
33.31 no ,it was reveal Dr.Manhattan is person who was responsible for the missing 10 Years of time that the DC's "52" Comic had in DC Rebirth,
Black Monday...
Wait a second, is that GARFIELD BATMA-!
I liked to think Beyonder was "what if" Babara did carry out Amadas Wallis order on assassinating Terry parent in order for him to become the next Batman. However her calculation wasn't correct like the result broke Terry mind for the worst. Regardless Bruce somehow took him in or whatever and Terry eventually killed Bruce and become the Beyonder.
Not all heroes wear capes,
but not all whom wear capes are heroes.
If Batman was real, he would only be active for a few years because of the amount of stress he puts on his body
The Dark Knight trilogy already covered this territory.
Imagine a verse where Bruce Wayne crosses with Bruce Lee and the comedian Bruce Bruce ?! And they flew the spruce goose !? 😆 🤣
Batbruce on the Goose.
Batman! That just earned you a new sub
I love that they brought back Owlman!
I mean Batman would have like a million less problems if he just killed his villians.
7:48 The Batman Who Frags ... The fuck? what do you mean Lex Luthor saves the entire Omniverse with the other bad guys???
Robin King (who is also Bruce Wayne and is still a kid) is just as evil and insane or worse imo. One of the reasons: He was BORN EVIL.
O.O
