Connect the usb otg to a power source. Also the external HDD must be formatted in a file type the iOS can recognise. Like exfat. Try formatting the HDD in exfat

Very cool adapter. I have an adapter similar to that, but mine has two female inputs. One for the power source, and another for my earbuds, so I can charge my battery while listening to tunes off my iPhone 7 Plus. I also have another adapter that plugs into my input on my stereo receiver, so I can take songs from my iPhone and record it onto my reel to reel tape deck after feeding it through my stereo receiver. It’s very cool.

But if you connect lightning cable to PC without adapter, it’ll help you to transfer files as well as it’ll charge your iPhone

You gotta have powered USB hub to be able to work with HDDs but if you have SSD laying around, it's likely that you will have better luck with that on since it consumes much less power.

Try changing file format of hdd from NTFS to exFAT. Apple doesn't recognize NTFS file format.

Previously I using Wayona Sd card adapter but it’s problem is when I open my pdf files it always open with IUSB Pro application and I cannot edit my pdf directly on my Sd card .

You can edit PDF directly on Pend Drive however options for Annotations are very limited. You have basic Apple’s editing tools and if that is sufficient, it’ll work for you.
Open Files app, add any pdf and try adding annotations. That’s how it’s gonna work for Pen Drive also

You might need powered USB hub which you can connect to this adapter and then connect USB drive to hub.

No. First connect USB drive to iPhone.
Then select photos and videos from Photos App you want to transfer.
Select SHARE option.
Select FILES App.
Look for Thumb drive and select to start the transfer.

I haven't transferred that much data. So not sure about it. But there should be an issue while transferring data since it is authentic Apple product and should serve the purpose.
Moreover, I'd suggest to transfer data in batches rather transferring all at once 😊

I own iphone SE iOS 12.4 and order a week ago this lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. I change the USB stick to Fat32 and still I do not find into the "File app" as seen into your presentation the USB external stick or as you called "Pendrive.". When I connected the adapter the iphone the Photo camera roll goes open and there is nothing to see associated with the USB stick added to the apple lightning USB 3 adapter. Power was of course connected. The phone is jailbroken, perhaps you known a tweak to get the new adapter working? I'm Dutch, excuses for the not so good English.

Friendly Vikas Hi, no I didn’t because the file app was already on the phone. I do not remember the app comes preloaded installed or I ad it long time ago from AppStore. But perhaps has it to do with iOS 12.4? For now when connected the camera roll with all the albums goes open. There is then nothing to see that is associated with the external usb stick with photo’s. Your word are not clear, is it an app separately to download, the “file app?” Perhaps is it an software iOS 12.4 issue? There must be an jailbreak tweak available here for as there was ever for older iOS the camera connector tweak. That was years ago on iOS 5 and 6. I like to staying on iOS 12.4 because the phone is jailbroken and when I update right now I will lost the jailbreak. The latest signing IPSW is not ready to jailbreak.
I hope someone read this and give me some support, such as a tweak to download so that the camera usb 3 will work on iOS 12.4. That in case it is an iOS problem. For now is the situation as explained above.
@@FriendlyVikas There is also the settings, ad passcode and then turn on USB accessories. I opend it but still not has it effet on the USB camera adapter. I have indeed the same file app once downloaded from the appstore. when I connected the USB then opens the BOX app or camera photo app but still no pendrive to find. I have tried to find the usb drive via Filza in the section "nmt" what is empty. So far, it is perhaps an ios 12.4 issue because ios 13 there seem it to work.
