Chrome has actually been decent to me. Besides that monster I've only ripped to blaster and got the same purple speckle auto rookie #'d to 299 of ryder ryan 🤦♂️. You can't make this stuff up!! Lol.

I bought 4 boxes. Pulled an Elly X-Fractor, an Elly Aqua /199, & a Langford Lightboard. Calling it quits after that run.
It seems like I just opened what you do a show on. I opened two of these this morning and got a Jackson Holiday x fractor. Elly refractor, Kjerstad x fractor and a bunch of others. I did get a no namer auto as well. No buy backs. 😞 That print line on yours is nasty! Thanks for sharing! Always fun!

$65 dollars is a fair price? What? Are you high? All these products have skyrocketed in price with no added value! Everyone in the hobby is being robbed! These should be $34.99 and not a penny more, even at that price you will lose 90 percent of the time!
You’re always going to lose opening boxes. But yes, I don’t mind paying 65 for these boxes when you compare them to 40 for a blaster. The floor of these boxes is very high because of the guaranteed xfractors. Prices aren’t going down for anything in America so you have to find value where ya can. I think this format is ok
@@bigcease2274 when did you come into the hobby my man. His boxes were very mediocre and he still got loads of value back. Gem 2 cards up and you are in the green. Opening boxes was never supposed to be a profitable proposition. 2020-2021 was an outlier and it was like printing money. Why do you think people who knew nothing about sports or cards were lining up at Targets and Walmarts? The price of Chrome is premium and shouldnt be compared to paper products. It was time for a price increase after 10 yrs and higher demand. Now if they were $35, you would never see them on the shelves and you’d have to pay double and triple anyway.
Bunch of broke trailer trash complaining about the prices. If you’re concerned about value just buy singles. Opening boxes should purely be for the experience. If you can’t afford the experience or feel the price is too high just stay away.
His has MVP buyback. I’d pay 65 over 40 to even 45 on blasters
Donruss megas are a better value. Big name autos as well and 20 bucks less for over double the amount of cards.
It's sad the price of baseball and football cards. I agree with you on it being alright values for the time. Thankfully I didn't bite on hobby and only down a few blasters for Chrome. Nice looking cards just a little too expense but that state of the hobby in general sadly.
Yeah it costs me like 300 bucks to buy groceries now so I think prices have just gone up with everything in general. It’s tough but what can ya do

You and others that are ripping lots of chrome this year are my heroes and I'm ripping vicariously through you. I haven't ripped a pack. Just can't stomach the price and even more so the way topps has printed the shit out of dam near everything the last few years. Its getting close to the junk wax era which is a shame. For $65 I could go on eBay and put together a group of cards that would put 99% of these boxes to shame. I get it, the dopamine hit of ripping and the possibility of hitting the big one. But at these prices and print runs it makes no sense to me. Thanks for doing what you do though.I feel your pain when it goes like that one.

One of my boxes had almost exactly same xfractors with 1 Matsui RC and other vets. Correlation may recognize him as one of the vets.
So true I've got a Primary Pieces Quad relic 10/10 game used of Kris Bryant beautiful card! Thought about selling and last sale someone took best offer under $30! I'd rather use it as a doorstop than sell it for that! 😂

I think you’re doing the right thing there lol there is comp value off eBay, then there is how much value a card has to you. Those definitely don’t have to match. I have some cards I haven’t moved an inch on and won’t lol
With the way Topps inserts these Rookie Xfractors and those massive print lines these boxes shouldn't be more than $50.
Agreed. Pulled an Elly Raywave from a monster box and it has a print line through it. $50 card worth maybe $10 now . Thanks Topps. Probably would have kept anyway for the PC but it's not really an option to sell now.

There should be a way to send it back and let Topps make good for it. That's bad quality control
@@Thomas-o2xyou can send back cards if they would be graded psa 8 or worse. And they will send you a replacement. I got an auto in Topps heritage that someone bent the corner of it when they signed it I guess. And Topps mailed me same card back in good condition

I would rather rip 4 of these then a chrome hobby. More dart throws with the parallels.
At least you got the one judge. I have still not pulled a single ohtani! Yet every new box seems to have a judge parallel. Upto 6 now lol. Did have a rookie x fractor box and one pack has 2 chourios (x and raywave in same pack) keep ripping!

Topps cant do anything for all the print lines? I would be pissed lol
I was 100% sure that the collations on these were either all rookies or all vets, then I bought 2 from LCS with about half and half. And the way I look at it, if you get all rookies, you’re pretty likely to get atleast one or two of the good ones like I have done, or if all vets, you got a somewhat decent shot at getting a judge or Ohtani buyback. It’s weird collations this year that’s for sure, but I’m not sure I hate it.

65 isn't a bad price at all, I have opened about 30 blasters already and for 34.99 those are absolutely worth it. I've opened 6 megas, I'm a huge fan of chrome this year

My first 3 boxes were vets. Last 2 were rookie boxes so I'm glad I didn't just get a couple boxes. I did get 3 autos in 5 boxes so was a pretty good rip altogether. You'd think that it would be better for the consumer if there was a good mix of vets and rookies in each box. That makes too much sense I guess... SMH. Good luck next time my friend!

Not too bad! Next time will be better! I found 4 Monster Boxes at Target and 3 were all veteran players in the X-Fractors and only 1 was rookies. I did get some parallels of Judge and Ohtani, so it made up for it. Only 1 autograph and very little color variations. Still fun rips!

For $65, the quality control should be flawless. This is Topps, not freaking Panini...the print lines r atrocious throughout that 2nd box for sure...is the Judge/Ohtani still a buyback if there is a print line going through their respective cards?!?

Bought a box today at GameStop... no xfractors at all.. had to open a case with topps and send in bar code and receipt... highly disappointed..

@@zacklackey6559 thats not really true man lol I’ve sold hundreds of vet parallels for 2-3 dollars a piece. Raywaves, refractors, sepia, xfractors and prisms. People like to buy their fav teams and players. Stop by the live sale / rip tomorrow at 6pm if you can, you’ll see some of these sell pretty well.

Rookie cards say RC on them, parallels are listed on the checklist at the Topps website

Got a rookie hot box in from fanatics i odered a hobby n mega to be honest my mega might have been better than the hobby hit holliday,chourrio,keith,winn x fractors and a ray wave shohei, my hobby was ok hit Fitzgerald black refractor/10 cecconi auto judge refractor and green authentic jersey yordan /99

Any chance you have heard of "collectors edge" baseball cards? I'm in West Virginia for a few days and picked up 3 boxes from Walgreens. They were $5.67 per box and say look for parallels and autographs. Haven't opened them yet.
What year are those?
