For anyone that’s vegan, I had good success with substituting plant milk for regular milk (1:1 substitution), 6 tbsp Aquafaba for 3 egg whites, and silken tofu for sour cream (1:1 substitution). Hope this helps anyone that needs it!

To annoint yourself you can squeeze the used teabag out into your scalp to give your hair a partial wash, and you can sometimes grow chamomile from the flowers in the teabag- just bust the teabag open and plant the contents instead of using it for tea.

Everything will eventually get better. In Europe we've been in quarantaine for a bit longer, this is my twelfth day in quarantaine and the really rough days are already behind me. The first week was incredibly terrifying and hard to cope with all the things happening. But once you kind of get used to it and know that your loved ones are safe, calm starts to come back. At first it's really hard to find some kind of routine, to find things to keep you busy, but at this time it's just important to fill your days with fun stuff (as weird as it might sound). I try to create pretty things, I paint, I crochet, I bake, I do origami, I work in the garden... Anything to distract from the dark thoughts. You'll have to get through the rough days, but it will get better. Stay safe and healthy everyone!

I let it simmer for 10 mintues, then turn the stove off, pour the honey into a jar, rinse the saucepan and let the jar cool before closing it and storaging in my pantry.

For me, since I work from home, all that's happening isn't as scary as it is for others and I love being alone (and with my hubby and 7 cats of course, you know what I mean). I hardly ever leave my home anyway, so I'm used to this lifestyle. As an Herbalist, I have many tinctures ready for the lung issues this virus effects. I feel prepared with plenty of food, work, lap cats, books and music to see us through this time. I hope everyone is safe and healthy and using their magick is positive ways. Blessed Be!

I am a vegan and I find it greatly affects the outcome of my spells and dishes - cows milk comes from a very distressed and anxious animal, and plant based milks are completely sourced from plants and there's no hurt or cruelty that is behind them. This seems to make my intent alot more pure, its always good to know where your ingredients come from ❤️

Cows (or any mammal for that matter) actually won't let down their milk unless they're relaxed 💕 an anxious cow will not even give milk and cannot be forced to. Same principal as new mother's needing a calm, relaxing environment to nurse their child. If vegan alternatives work better for you you're free to it!

Annie has EDS and cannot practice as a Vegan. Her milk seemed just fine as well as worked perfectly for what she needed. Also Mother Earth would tend to disagree with your mention of plants feeling no stress and is any better getting plant milk as compared to animal milk. And as mentioned below, stressed mammals will not release their milk. Anyway anything living near her has no possibility of being less than relaxed and at ease. To each their own as Annie would say.

This recipe is quite lovely, and very versatile! Such a great kitchen witch base recipe 😍 You could easily switch out the chamomile and use other herbs or spices for other magical effects. For someone who isn't a fan of chamomile lavender would work very well as a substitute for anti-anxiety too. I'd probably add a little lemon zest into the cake batter for some added brightness, both taste wise and magically, and some poppy seeds for taste and even more tranquility.

I've decided to try this recipe for the birthday of a friend of mine who is having some serious troubles in many aspects of her life. I am not overfond of chamomile, since I drank a very bad quality one as a child at the catholic school, but I have a very pleasant infusion with chamomile and other herbs, called Bonne Nuit, and I used that. I checked out the ingredients and the magical use in Scott Cunningham's book, and shifted the intention to a "calmness and self love" One; fittingly, the moment was in waxing Moon, so everything was perfect. The sweet rolls were a complete success, my friend and her daughter were overjoyed with them, and even my very skeptical"if it was not made by a granma it's not good" boyfriend had to admit they were delicious 😁 the pinch of salt in the frosting truly added to the recipe, and I was thinking that it can be a good idea to offer the last of the milk, pouring it to a plant, to enhance the spell.

I just love so much that you made them look like skyrim sweet rolls. I used to spend quite an amount of time playing skyrim and imagining my life in such a green place filled with herbs and delicious food, but now I've left it behind and I'm working to making it come true. Thank you for showing us that it is possible.

If you can get your hands on chamomile seeds, it's so exciting to watch them grow and they sprout quickly 😊 I was delighted to discover the leaves themselves are extremely fragrant and beautifully lacey, the leaves are just as edible too but I just lightly run my hands through and smell the leaves

I stress bake. A lot. And I practice kitchen witchery. I have no idea why I've never thought to combine calming ingredients into my already calming process of baking. These sound amazing, and bonus points for Skyrim!! I can't wait to make these. And also, what an amazing base recipe/spell for other herbs and intentions. Thank you for sharing this!

I used this recipe today for the first time. My bf and I made them together as a stay at home date. I love baking, he loves learning and we both love magic. We're very new in practicing. Man oh man. Some of the best cake I've ever had in my entire life. Also I didn't have chamomile by itself so I used the lavender chamomile tea bags I had on hand. Still delicious though. I love lavender as a flavor and not just for the smell or it's properties and uses. It all worked out very well and I am so grateful that you shared your recipe. 😊😊
It felt like my anxiety was melting away the whole time I was in the kitchen.
    Thank you🥰

I’ll be listening to Jereme Soule while I bake these tonight. Seeing the snow outside just makes me feel like I need to crunch through the snow to find my own Winterhold, but I’ll probably stick to making these 😅 I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since you shared this with us, Annie. Things seem to be in a cycle lately and I’ll be glad to have a moment of peace amongst it all. 🖤

I made these today. I'll be honest I had a panic attack as I was setting up because I thought I couldn't breath. I pushed through and as I began putting intent and power into the spell slowly the attack started to melt away. I've been going on to my husband all week about making these cakes and hes so excited to try them. Thank you love for this beautiful recipe. Stay safe and healthy my dear sending love from Maryland! 🖤💜
