The thing about this film is that its 90 percent true and dimple cheema(his lover) confirmed this. The only parts that arent true are the songs and the use of satellite phone part. So this all actually happened. Dimple cheema never saw the dead body of her beloved yet she lives with their memories even today

In india, joining Military is NOT compulsory. Its a voluntary process. Not everyone can join army because the criterias & standards for being am Army soldier is very high in india. An Indian soldier can be in service for years & years.
Borders of India is Extremely risky, coz of constant insurgency by terrorists and cease fire violation attacks. Our soldiers are constantly at war with Terrorists & killing them. In this process we loose some soldiers at some occasions even now 💔
And in this movie, It was a Proper WAR, of 1999. Hundreds of soldiers died here. Vikram Batra being one of them but one of the Bravest 🙏

I remember it in 1999 that our indian PM went to Pakistan for friendship and peace and in return Pakistan use that opportunity to take our high altitude area and start war against us. We lost a lot and he was one of our precious gem.

This is the ending scene of this movie n the girl, his family, his friends all were remembering the time they spent together with him. They were remembering his achievements, his fun n everything about him so wherever he was shown in this video was all in the past. Such a sad ending 😔 but it's true. One more thing you might know this but still I want to tell you that in Hindu culture we don't bury the body of the demise person instead we burn the body n collect the ash in a vase or something like that and then empty that vase into a water body and after that burning thing we generally hold the funeral where we put a picture of deceased n people come to pay the homage. That's a kinda off topic I think but I just want to let you know 🙂 well about the movie you should definitely watch it once you n Bora Di get time, we'll wait till then 😄😊

Captain Vikram Batra was a north Indian so am I n in North India Hindus generally cremate. And I know that it was my mistake and I should've made this point clear. you are right , I've heard that but she explained in reference to this movie like she said. I just wanted to add one more thing - In north here people who cremate their dead has a belief that - Incineration is the purest of all cause air can be polluted, water can be polluted and soil as well but everything that fire touches becomes sterlized so they consider of the purest of all. In PSM books (3rd year course of Bachelor of medicine & Bachelor of science aka MBBS) it is stated - the body rots in air in 1 week , in soil in 2 weeks and in water 8 weeks which is why here they dont let their dead rot so they can go in peace. And, the part where she explained they sprinkle the ashes in water is because of the 5 elements thing - water, earth(soil), fire, wood and metal (when someone dies they put gold in their mouth). I understand that ways can be different but by no means she intended to hurt anyone's feelings. I hope you understand that too. Thank you .
