I mean, honestly Samurott is better in B2/W2, as you progress through the gyms a LOT faster in my experience and you reach drifveil, where Samurott shines most, super quickly

“Oshawott is kind of garbage at the end” dude it’s the best water type in the game! This thing pretty much hits like a truck. All you need is Surf, Aqua Jet and Megahorn and your pretty much destroying teams.
Plus it’s stats aren’t that bad, with really good hp stat, so it is basically a massive tank.

@@Dadinyan Not really. Aside from Burgh and Elesa, Oshawott, Dewott and Samurott do a pretty good against the other gym leaders and elite 4. Remember that it’s a mix attacker so it can use moves like Megahorn, Surf, blizzard and etc that does a lot of damage. Plus give it Mystic Water and watch it almost one shot everything that isn’t resisted to water.

@@omegalegend9706 for all I know they could be the same person. X and Y had the embodiments of life and death so it wouldn’t surprise me if he had become immortal somehow. I could be wrong since I haven’t played those games and watched a CZcams video.
I'm surprised you didn't mention how HMs are actually not tied to badges, and so immediately after the first gym, you can just trade a pokemon to yourself on a different gen 5 game, give them something like surf, and go nuts with getting super broken items early game lmao

My first ever games growing up, I will forever be a Gen 5 person, I love it SOOOO MUCH!! It had the best story out of any Pokémon game I’ve ever played! Never did gen 4, but I will play Brilliant Diamond when it comes out.
Edit: Played Brilliant Diamond. Did enjoy it, not as much as Gen 5, but I will give it credit for having the hardest Champion and the second best champion theme to me (Diantha’s theme will still be special for my second ever Pokémon generation played).

I grew up a DS kid, and I don't feel it'd unfair to say that these games have changed my life, by bringing me threw the times that were tough and helping me make new friends. They made me happy.
The gen 6 arrived. Even as a child, I hated gen 6.

Oh I remember the absolute hate BW got on the announcement and releases, because "OMG, theses PKMNs are litteraly trash, no original design" and others commentaries of the same kind.
PETA out of all things even loosely parodied that game and tried to bez the real-life Team Plasma.
But then, the story overall, the music, EVERYTHING is good in this game.
That's when it went downfall pretty bad.
5G main games were too mature and ambitious for their own sake, and because of that, Game Freaks freaked out and basically told their people : OMG make money with kids assholes, not with mature peoples !!! Throw all the seriousness and epicness away, we need childish and brainless games !! And then XY came along...
Honestly I fear the day theses games will get a remaster... Except if, MAYBE, by totally accident - but knowing how Game Freaks SUCK at making new contents in Pokémon - they would do a literal black and white remake of BW, with old-school Game Boy graphics, that could be interesting.
They only loved it because gen 6 is the downfall of the series!

My first ever Starter was a Tepig named Blaze. But I lost the cart before I could beat the game... I was at the end of Chargestone Cave. Blaze's story may never get finished... But a part of me feels like he will clear victory road one day. I pray for that day

I genuinely enjoyed Sun and Moon’s story. I really thought that the dynamic between Lusamine, Lillie, and Gladion was surprisingly deep for a Pokémon game. But yeah, I’ll give you that Sword and Shield’s story was legit garbage.

I'd personally say Tepig is the worst starter. Oshawott is great, he learns Swords Dance, Aqua Jet, Hydro Pump and Mega Horn.

I think the triple and rotation battles were removed to prevent lag and the consoles from crashing.
If you put 6 Hoopa unbounds in a triple battle, you’ll have a great chance of getting the game crashed in gen 6

Oshawott is probably the best starters to choose in BW and B2W2 since Sammurot is a mixed attacker, therefore any set you use will be effective. Also water types in Unova are either horrible or come late game. It can learn all the HMs necessary to finish the game, so a single Pokémon run is possible only using Sammurot. Also the only reason will you chose Tepig or Snivy is if you prefer those 2 over Oshawott. Which I respect completely.

I'm honestly really glad for this video. I can now see some of the flaws of my favorite generation without just gushing about it all the time. I think Black 2 and White 2 are a little better, but I thank this game so much for how different it is from the rest.

It could be a triggered or a mind blowing depending on how you look at it, but I actually really enjoyed how the main story keeps with only gen 5 pokemon. For the first playthrough, I had to learn and adapt to using and fighting pokemon who's type, abilities and moves I had no idea about.

I think GameFreak included that option in case the player wanted to use the main legendary in the two upcoming battles. The minute you catch the main legendary, it is straight to the battle against N and then the battle against Ghetsis with no breaks in between those three battles.
