I’m clearly challenged with my video editing skills visible at the end of my video! Please excuse the “mess” on screen at the end. Thanks for watching! ♥️😊 Also, for those of you who inquired as to how I adhered the oven liner to the shim ('stick'), I used double sided tape like Sookwang. I think any type of strong adhesive would work but likely not liquid glue. I hope this helps! :)

Would a permanent adhesive spray work to attach the oven matt (or grill mat because that is what I have at home) to the shim (or paint stick - what I already have. LOL). I really love this idea... I actually loved them all. I already have the magnetic stick, as I just moved off a boat and I kept dropping parts in the bilge. The best part is I can implement all these great tips right away. Thanks for sharing!!!

      @KathyaKalinine  Před 3 lety

Agreed! You can use liquid glue, too, to adhere your paper. Just make sure the glue is dry before running it through your die cutting machine. Then you’ll get a really nice clean cut! 😊

    I thought it was genius!👍🏻

My favorite tip was the oven liner covered shim. I was chuckling when I saw it as I have been attaching my die cuts to a large popsicle type stick (picked up a big bag full at Walmart, very inexpensive) with just tape runner as I was tired of burning my fingers or when using a tweezers and having to redo the area where the tweezers was. When the stick gets too messy I just throw it away. I like the shim idea that supports a bigger die cut. I also love your tip to glue the cardstock layers together before die cutting those intricate die cuts...brilliant!!! Why didn't I think of that? REALLY COOL TIPS...LOVE THEM ALL!
Here's the tip I'd like to share...I have found that when I need a thriftier type of storage container...I write the "space" or
" size"needed, and off to the thrift store, I go...I give myself
permission to go into 3 stores, if needed, and generally, I find that item.
Case in point, I had wanted to group my punches together...but in an out of sight way....knowing this information...I dropped into a goodwill..only to find, they were having a 50% off day...YAY.
I went to the back of the store, and there, sat a 6 shelving unit, divided most of the way down.
I almost put it down...but realized...it was probably what I was looking for...besides, I could afford $3.50 if I was wrong...took it home, and started buying cake pans for this unit...today, it houses...all my punches...my cricut cartridges...remember those?...my sizzlets... my circle and oval cutter...and my big dies...my thin wafer dies are in another part of my crafting space....as there are quite a number of those.
Just went thru this space last night...to do a yearly purging...and found space for my
Martha Stewart Circle Edge Punch set...I was DELIGHTED!🙂
I got to share one more quick tip..
    Short on space?..
Rework an area...I just did this to my armoire..turned into ribbon storage...I was ready for my uncounted stamps to come down out of view...and be organized another way...I went thru my large collection of ribbon..
And Viola!...I found the storage I needed....I did take the time to make a unmounted stamp reference book...I believe...I'll really use these stamps, now...where, before, I RARELY USED them.
I know this info is really looong... but tips, like yours, are AMAZING
and help me stay on budget.
    Thank you for sharing😃

The silicone applicator is also awesome for pressing something down when using hot glue. I have been using that magnetic tool for years.....makes it so easy peasy when you drop metal items. Interesting idea with the embossing stick.
