It's like with modern Family Guy, everyone has a broken and toxic relationship and marriage and just hate each other.
Just 1 simple healthy and wholesome relationship doesn't hurt anyone.
I guess Logan took inspiration from Family Guy, which is the worst thing for any showrunner to do. I'm kinda glad SMG4 doesn't do this s**t. Hell, I'll take Mario x Meggy over anything SML gives out despite its toxic underbelly.

To be honest, everybody is kinda a terrible person in the sml universe and seeing them have a good relationship with each other is not surprising, and junior to be honest doesn’t deserve a girlfriend because he’s a terrible person and always bullies Cody.

5:09 Yeah I wouldn’t be excited about SML nowadays anyway as much as I Love Romance this is one of the Worst Parings I’ve ever seen not because it would help Junior Grow and Change but because it’s the Complete Opposite when the Orange Gremlin is the Embodiment of Terrible Character Development.
While Jackie Chu was the Only Best part of the Video, the Rest is basically a Complete Character Assassination to Penelope, she’s the only Good Female Character in SML and being one of the Smartest One but Logan made her into a Obsessed Creep and realistically she wouldn’t hang out with Junior for all the crap he has done to her, somehow he’s terrible at writing Good Romance, Relationships, and Likable Couples and hell Logan didn’t do a Valentine’s Day Special in Years which makes me wonder why he Female Characters and Couples to be as Insane and Insufferable as Possible, 2 out of 10, a Bad Video that yet again Logan can’t write Good and Relatable Female Characters and also miscorrected the Day as Jackie Chu said the 2nd Day of School is on Tuesday and later they said Bros Night is on every Friday.
You know Logan isn’t trying to write a good relationship right? He’s trying to write a relationship like Cartman and Heidi from South Park.
