Car restoration reality shows have carved a special place in our hearts, not just for the gripping drama or the stunning transformations, but for the remarkable second chances they offer vehicles that have seen better days. In this genre, one show stands out: "Wheeler Dealers." It is similar to many other car restoration series but with a twist. Instead of the conventional shop setting, we follow the journey of the charismatic car enthusiast and former dealer, Mike Brewer, as he journeys to discover long-forgotten, dilapidated cars and then entrusts them to a talented mechanic who breathes new life into these machines. Their ultimate goal? To restore these automobiles to their former glory and, of course, turn a profit.
Since it premiered as a British TV series in 2003, Wheeler Dealers has made a huge splash in the reality TV scene. Initially set in the UK, the show featured the brilliant Edd China as its master mechanic. However, in 2014, it shifted gears, relocating its filming to sunny California in the United States. This change in scenery coincided with the introduction of Ant Anstead as the new resident mechanic in 2017. Ant quickly became a fan favorite during his tenure, working on the show from seasons 14 to 16. As devoted fans of the show, it's only natural to be curious about what has become of Ant Anstead since his departure. So, join us as we delve into the life of Ant Anstead after Wheeler Dealers!

Wheeler Dealers moved to the USA because the filming company thought they could do it better than the UK's Attaboy and Brewer wanted to increase his US audience. The problem is that there's a lot of mechanical work between shoots, so the film crew might have hours between doing any work, but they have to be paid for that time.
PS. Skip the first six minutes because it tells you NOTHING about what he did AFTER Wheeler Dealers.

Hate it for Ant, but I think everyone knew that Christina was HIGH maintenance from the get go. Only a matter of time that the marriage folded

I agree. However, Christina is a good looking little heifer.

I agree. I think I remember an interview that she did. She said that she regretted the 'rebound' marriage, feeling that she had not taken enough time to re-set her priorities. She also was in demand for TV shows fixing up houses ("Flip or Flop" continued and she co-hosted with her ex husband. Awkward....) and remodeling others ("Christina on the Coast"). The two careers did not mesh well, and when Ant left Wheeler Dealers, he was at loose ends, wanting to develop more car-related TV shows (which he did over the next two years). So, with a high maintenance wife and an auto mechanic husband, there was precious little chance.
