If they really cared for her they would have stuck by her no matter what and kept their mouths shut. My friend's father died and she just shut down, she lost a lot of weight, she shut me out when I tried to talk to her and even said some hurtful stuff. But I showed her everyday I was still there, I would text her mom to see how she was doing. And in the end I was the one she came too when she finally needed someone. You have to be patient with people who are in hard situations not get pissy and petty. If you truly love and care for someone, you wouldn't do something like this. I didn't go around school telling everyone.

I think Mer is going through something right now. Real and true friends understand problems and will still be there to support a friend even if they're being mean and cranky and pushing people away, these are ed symptoms or even depression symptoms, sometimes even just symptoms from plain ol' dieting. And when a friend makes a mistake, you have to be able to forgive. I'm sure Mer didn't do anything to harm 3 people at once, which leads me to believe some gossiping went on here and there. I get that if Mer pushed herself away, they shouldn't bother her. But I'm very sure Mer never meant to do so, having friends is a blessing and I'm sure Mer must be feeling those consequences. My friend's father died and she just shut down, she lost a lot of weight, she shut me out when I tried to talk to her and even said some hurtful stuff. But I showed her everyday I was still there, I would text her mom to see how she was doing. And in the end I was the one she came too when she finally needed someone. You have to be patient with people who are in hard situations not get pissy and petty. If you truly love and care for someone, you wouldn't do something like this. I didn't go around school telling everyone.

Real and true friends understand problems and will still be there to support a friend even if they're being mean and cranky and pushing people away, these are ed symptoms or even depression symptoms, sometimes even just symptoms from plain ol' dieting. And when a friend makes a mistake, you have to be able to forgive. I'm sure Mer didn't do anything to harm 3 people at once, which leads me to believe some gossiping went on here and there. I get that if Mer pushed herself away, they shouldn't bother her. But I'm very sure Mer never meant to do so, having friends is a blessing and I'm sure Mer must be feeling those consequences. I don't believe its too late to try at it again, communicate the problem, etc. I'm not saying Ava and Sierra, and Teala all should have to reach out to Mer nor am I putting this on them, but I have a friend who had very horrible confidence issues and no worth in herself, she pushed our squad away and isolated herself, but it was because she did not have any trust or belief in herself, it wasn't because she did not wish to remain friends with us. We gave her a little bit of time to figure some of her emotions out, but we could see she was not getting better. Turns out, she was to embarrassed to come forward and admit how she missed us all and she did something in the heat of a moment. In a time when a friend is struggling, you must forgive their actions and remember they are still that same person. Sometimes a puzzle is meant for more than one person and as a friend you must help your friend figure things out. I think the 3 got butthurt a bit and didn't wish to try anymore or at least consider what Mer must be going through, when its 3 and 1 Mer is probably scared to admit her faults or try to befriend them again, because the surplus of people in comparison to her, 1 person, can be scary.
