Sony is way better recording, but GoPro is more lightweight and waterproof. Me personally, I pick the GoPro bc I camp a lot and it’s waterproof and lightweight because I struggle with over packing

I love both, cameras are for people that have studied and know how to use the more complex settings of a camera but the GoPro is more for people like myself that don’t use dslr and need something more practical and easy to use and carry around with, they both get the job done, now do a iPhone pro max vs a GoPro

@@feelingsugoi if you have the money, definitely invest in the GPH11, the prices are essentially the same for both, especially with all the discounts during holiday season! And the GPH11 doesn’t have too much over the GPH10 really, but if you can get the latest version and features for the same price, might as well right?

It would be easier to make a judgement call if the clips from each cam where similar, if not the same, including the sound engineering. It's hard to say which one is better with only 2 totally different clips with different atmospheric moods to go off.

What is the must have lens for video? For the A7s3? Sigma 24-70 f2.8 is it good?
If you’re a beginner, I would always say the Tamron 28-75 F2.8, but the Sigma 24-70 is also pretty good! I would look at a few comparison videos and see what you like better!
Let’s see you put that Sony camera underwater like you did with that GoPro and see just which one is actually more practical.

Is gopro good for photography compared to mobile or other low end camera?
Definitely!
Should have taken the same shots side by side for better comparison. It's hard to determine because the shots have drastically different coloring, and the short cuts down on image quality due to compression so I have no idea. But all shots look very good!

I'm just average AUTO mode user of cameras for the most part. My GoPro's (two 7 black and one 9 black) are my go to for any outdoor video recording of events or activities. The small rugged package with built in stabilization makes for quick to the storage drive and watch on our Media PC's. My RX100 and RX10 Sony cameras are great for IQ but mostly used for tripod video or handheld photos. They do way better in low light indoor video though so tripod comes out with the Sony RX line for Xmas morning, etc. GoPro for everything outdoor, camping, walking, biking , boarding.

No camera can beat dslr!
Once you put a G Master like 85mm 1.4, the Go pro can’t deliver cinematic bokeh like DSLR, that’s the biggest flaw I see in mobile/action cameras vs DSLR.
The DSLR lens creates that magical bokeh and subject separation.
Maybe do the same shot with both cameras because I feel like you did A better shot with the more expensive camera but the gopro looked about the same
