What if Mang0 had beaten Hax. He literally threw it away at the end. He played so well, but he should have just edge-hogged. Even if Fox could have made it back, he could have done a ledge-hop dair and land on stage.

He would have certainly won if he had edge-hogged. I am sure he was going for the style after his midjump to attempt to spike hax. Seeing as how hax drifted left with firefox as opposed to the right surely flustered mango during those precious frames as he wouldn't have reached the proper hitbox.
Unfortunately for mango he risked being out of range to recover.

Mango had the comeback all down, but he HAD to go for the swag/disrespect instead of holding down the win by just grabbing ledge or counterattacking Hax's recovery. As much as I love Mango, he kind of deserved it. #muchlovetomangonationbutilikehaxtoo
+firedemon90 The disrespect started the moment he picked his secondary to prove a point to someone he wasn't even fighting. His whole point was calling out to ppmd. Hax$ was just some random person thrown into the equation basically. The fact that he stood even matched with Hax$ using a secondary makes me feel like he could go for as much disrespect as he wanted to. If Hax$ had been able to body him then it would be a different story.

Hax = Ferrer (consistent but not quite at the top)

They both played well, and it was entertaining as hell. But my vote for winner goes to Mango. He really went for the style points at the end there, after all, this is a spectator sport. He didn't have to jump off, but it made it so much more exciting to watch, and I know that's what was going on in his head. Dude goes for style, I can appreciate that.

I love the tournament but I hate the commentator "husband." Many of his comments were belittling and promotes a very toxic environment within melee. For one, during S2J vs Laudandus, he commented that he wanted S2J to lose just so he can move on to commentate the more "exciting" matches. For the fans and the community, please chose commentators who is willing to progress the smash community forward.
But did he do bad with the commentary on this game? I enjoy the old school melee players' viewpoint every once in a while.
That was my point though. Husband was dismissive of the previous few games in order to proceed to these more "exciting" games. Instead of providing quality commentary on every match, he, instead, was selective by praising a few selected matches and disregarding others.
+jessyjkn Man you are sensitive, if you don't like them watch a different stream. Some commentators aren't afraid to speak their minds and every commentator has matches they cast that they just aren't excited for. I for one found the S2J vs Laudandus match kinda boring. I like the players but I just didn't enjoy that match as much.

This is the greatest set of melee ever played
At the very end (17:15), Mango could have just jumped back to grab the ledge while Hax started up his Firefox, and hit him with a rising Dair spike from the ledge as he recovered. But, alas, the Kid has to style. I would have thought that 5 or more Dolphin Slash kills were enough, but not for Mango. Good stuff to him--I wish he had tried to bring out the Falcon for this, but I realise that he was probably trying to bring out Hax's Falcon, too.

The fact that Mango's Marth took Hax's Fox to last stock, last hit says something. lol If only Mango's recoveries were better with Marth, then I think he'd probably be a Top 2 Marth in the world. lol
+RaJuanJohnson His recoveries were fine. Fox is absolutely capable of just killing Marth on recovery if he doesn't have extra room.
1000g2g3g4g800999 Eh, some of his recoveries were questionable. I agree that Fox can just ledge dash and then wave dash back to cover stlalls, but PPU seems to deal with it pretty well. His recoveries are incredible.
