    10) Knowledge of Hebrew and Egyptian languages - None of the documented Mesoamerican language scripts have any known relation to Hebrew or Egyptian.
    11) "Christ" and "Messiah" - improperly used, wrong time period.
    12) Greek names

*I made a mistake in my initial mention of bees... I wasn't clear in my notes and got the location mixed up. But the second mention of bees I stand by. Bees were not in the Americas until the 1600s.
*I want to apologize for my use of the term "Mongoloid." I had no idea it was a derogatory term or that it had anything whatsoever to do with Down syndrome. The definition I was using is as follows: "Mongoloid - relating to the broad division of humankind including the indigenous peoples of East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Arctic region of North America."
This was a term used by my source where I got lots of this information from and I wasn't aware of the offensive qualities it has. I was only making the point that that the Native American's DNA is not Semitic/Jewish and is Asian.
*Olives and Butter are mentioned in the Book of Mormon but not mentioned being in America so this was a geography mistake.
*Let's talk "Manuscript Found" by Solomon Spaulding: there are sworn affidavits stating that the manuscript for his book listed the names Mormon, Moroni, Nephites and Lamanites. His book was not published at this time, keep in mind. If you want to know the truth of this for yourself, I suggest you research it rather than taking my word or anyone else's word for it. I found multiple sources online that show the sworn affidavits of his manuscript containing the names found in the Book of Mormon. Because of this, I mentioned it in the video. I’ve been a member of the LDS church for 39 years. It seems that everything I’ve learned about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon are not true. It’s hard to admit it, but I think we’re going to leave the LDS church. Thank you Jessie for taking the time to go over these important details. Not sure if you read these comments or not. Any thoughts on how we can keep a Christ centered family life? We have teenagers daughters and our questioning of the LDS faith seems to motivate them to not believe anything at all.

I have gone back and forth with her on several of her videos. She’s very good and finding a comment or mistake made by a leader and twisting it to mean something totally different. She takes things out of context and is very misleading, and a lot of the time, she’s just wrong. I can give many many examples of her doing this from her videos. Obviously churchofjesuschrist.org has many good answers. A good you-tuber is “latter-day Q&A” and has great videos with good information. Also fairmormon.org has great stuff.

I left after 40 years LDS. My husband and I were converts who had already believed in Jesus Christ. When we left Mormonism, we placed pictures of Jesus Christ all over the house--having checked to make sure that the artists were not LDS. We brought home tons of Christian literature and different versions of the Bible that are easier to read than King James. We watch lots of Christian videos. Denomination is left open for now, but we are determined that Christ is still King.

Eggy hi, I don’t always have time for CZcams so I’m sorry for my late response to you. Where do I know you from? Jessie is not a member and may get some things wrong but she has exposed a lot that the average member doesn’t know and she is accurate on most facts. More specifically, if one looks at Grant Palmers book, “An Insider’s View of Mormon Origins” a previous CES director, or Dan Vogal’s many books and CZcams posts, it is literally impossible to believe that Joseph Smith had the ability to accurately translate and that the Book of Mormon has no archeological evidence like we find with the Mayan people who also lived during the same time period yet we find thousands of artifacts that are Mayan. There is so much to discuss it would take pages and pages of reading. For me, Joseph Smith’s inability to translate, polygamy as a Celecial requirement, blood atonement and Joseph Smith’s changing view of the Godhead are just a few of the things that brought me to understand the difference between Biblical Christianity and LDS doctrine. Even though I know the current teachings don’t support most of the above mentioned items anymore, Joseph Smith did and he is the founder of this. Anyway, I don’t want you to leave the church or change your faith. This is just what I’ve experienced. I’m spent the past year reading fairmormon, the Church essays and praying with my wife for guidance.
I still keep a Christ centered life. My wife and family attend a local Christian Church and we are happy with our decision. It’s hard to understand why other people don’t always believe what we believe is right but I am learning that God speaks to us in different ways.

Great video and presentation, I really liked it. I was raised LDS and am now born-again Christian. You have just touched the surface here, and I hope you continue these videos! I’ve thought a lot about doing something like this but with an entirely LDS family, it gets very touchy, and people get their feelings hurt. I sometimes struggle with what to do. Yesterday at my LDS grandmothers funeral, my dad got up and spoke about how we can only get to heaven if we try as hard as we can through works, and also spoke of how we chose our life on earth as premortal beings in heaven, and other nonsense that had me all white-knuckled in the church pew. I am so glad that learned the truth and got out, life is better with the true knowledge of our Savior and the grace that he has already granted us. I hope you’ll do a video on the differences in beliefs of LDS vs Christians, if you’re ever looking for a fellow concerned Christian friend, I’d love to be yours!

      Born again?
      What is the gospel?
The gospel isn't books. Matthew, Mark Luke, and John aren't the gospel, they teach the gospel. Then what is the true gospel of Jesus Christ?
Answer- faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism by immersion for the remission of sin, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end that is the gospel.
invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
      1. Matt 2413.
      2. Matt 10:22.
They want “peace in this world, and eternal life in the world to come” (Doctrine and Covenants 59:23), but they are “kept from the truth because they know not where to find it” (Doctrine and Covenants 123:12).
How we are to be baptized!
When we are baptized the baptizer must say the name of Jesus, because the bible says that the name of the father, Son, and Holy Ghost, is Jesus.
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles, not names! He didn't say, in the titles of.. And if you notice Jesus said name, singular.
One name then he mentioned three titles: father, Son and Holy Ghost.
      1. John 14:26
      2. John 5:43
Jesus comes in the father's name
      John 5:43
      Acts 4:12
Only one name is given whereby we must be saved. That isn't the titles of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Otherwise, you just got wet. There is no salvation without the name of Jesus.

I'm guessing you were indoctrinated into the Mormon cult from birth? If so, that kind of brainwashing is very difficult, if not impossible from which one can free her/himself, so kudos for having achieved such an accomplishment. That leads me to the NWO (1 World Rule/Brave New World/Tikkun Olam) indoctrination/deceptions/control/elimination system we've all accepted/trusted as either true, logical, or scientific "proofs" because we have been (heavily) indoctrinated/brainwashed to it from birth. In a nutshell, there are rulers (I consider them the ruling clan) that rule our world. They completely control money, governments, and media. They even control weather, but IMO the first three are the most strategic elements of modern society they control to establish, and maintain their vision of rule (NWO). You've seen through the Mormon deception, if you haven't awakened to NWO deceptions, you still have a long way to go (tip: no lie is too big for the NWO executioners given they have limitless $$, propaganda resources, and brainwashing expertise).

It's not a very fair comparison. Jerusalem has been continuously populated since biblical times. We hardly know what the natives in America called a handful of cities, and many cities were abandoned. The fact that there were cities, and cement houses, and level roads, and thrones and towers and fortifications, is evidence that the Book of Mormon is true. Ultimately, one has to trust in God.

      @barbwire7449 Před rokem

No Joseph Smith translation has ever been confirmed or validated (outside of the LDS church) including the Book of Mormon or Book of Abraham (alias Book of Mummy). There are no manuscripts or scrolls to compare the BOM for accuracy and consistency since the scrolls (golden plates) were conviently whisked away by an angel. There is no Mormon history since an entire mighty civilization completely dissapeared without a trace, no archeology and no anthropology. The entire Mormon religion is based on one man's word and one man's vision, and a handful of witnesses from two families, one family consisting of Smith's two brothers and father. Not much proof when considering Christ had 500+ witnesses to His ressurection at Pentecost.
The Joseph Smith Translation (JST), supposedly corrects the corruption and errors of the KJV that occurred down thru the centuries. Yet, not one single Greek/Hebrew document, scroll, manuscript, or inscription discovered since the writing of the JST (multiple hundreds, including the 1947 Dead Sea Scrolls, and 1979 New Dead Sea Scrolls) supports Smith's KJV correction. In fact, every single document disputes Smith's translations.
The Great Isaiah Scroll (part of the DSS) dated 300 BC-100 AD disputes every verse of the JST Isaiah corrections. Smith wrote his own name in the JST Genesis 50, which is also disputed by the DSS.
No Greek/Hebrew scholar or commission of scholars has ever used any of Smith's translations for any newly translated Bible, such as the KJV, NIV, Living Bible, etc, as a guide or standard, often reverting back to the DSS for new information.
New Testament and Greek scholar Dr. Daniel Wallace, who digitized every known Greek manuscript, claims there are about, 5,838 Greek manuscripts and 25,000+ manuscripts in other languages such as Latin, Coptic, and Syriac. The translations of Greek/Hebrew manuscripts into foreign languages were always from the Greek/Hebrew into the foreign language, never from one language to another, to another, to another as the LDS church claims; therefore the basic meanings of the scriptures between languages has not changed or been corrupted. There are over one million quotes from Christian church fathers we can use to cross check the accuracy of the N.T. These quotes do not validate any of Smith's translations.
The Ketef Hinnom Scrolls, an ancient text from the Book of Numbers, is dated 600 B.C., the approximate date the lost Hebrew tribe landed in America. It is the oldest Hebrew manuscript and it too supports the Book of Numbers, yet Mormonism has no evidence supporting their landing. Must I continue?

I already knew enough about their religion to ask them questions about their beliefs and they either said they couldn't give me an answer or acted like they believed in the same Trinity and Jesus and means of Salvation. They started becoming defense and were quick to leave. We shook hands and these brought me to do my own in depth reasearch, which brought me to your channel. Keep contending for the faith.

      There are various corrections:
      - Printer's errors
      - Modernization of spelling
      - Correction of grammar (this is a bit controversial since seemingly the original shows a correlation to Hebrew better)
      - Political Correctness (e.g. white to pure to make the book less offensive to the darker races)
      - And at least one correction of the person identified as speaking which may have been an error introduced by Mormon rather than Joseph Smith.
If you want something as close to what Joseph translated then you can check out the work of Royal Skousen or look at scriptures.info
I would say the version released by the LDS is good enough for most purposes and you can generally get a hard-copy free via the missionaries.
Most changes have very little to no effect doctrinally, some changes correct the doctrine and others *arguably* take away from it.
Considering the actual changes in the Book of Mormon text, I would argue that it is at best a weak argument if any argument at all.

His vivid imagination sprouted an entire community to follow his beliefs. I’m a devout Roman Catholic and I’ve always found it fascinating that you really don’t want to see the broader concept and the evidence of the perfect hoax. I’m sure there’s comfort living your life with blinders on. As a Catholic it really bothers me how the Mormon church defines themselves as Christian, yet denying the Holy Trinity and the most important part of them all: Jesus’ suffering and death on the cross and his glorious resurrection. That God is, not a person, but an existence in everything. But that God lives on a planet far far away, keeps a wife and is scornful of tea-drinkers? I mean, really?

Title: "I'm a born-again Christian who likes to critique other Christian sects that don't fall in line with my doctrine". The CES letter is authored by disgruntled Mormons who have an axe to grind. It comprises unreliable (unverifiable) third party source material, which purposefully portrays Mormon teachings out of context. Mormons, who feel guilty about wanting to renege on their moral commitments, use the CES Letter as a rationale to leave the church, because in reality they've adopted a “worldly-overview”, and the distortion of the CES allows them to “sin” without actually owning their decisions - if they can blame the church. Cognizant dissonance is patently sanctimonious, but that is the disingenuous world we live in. John Dehlin’s immature behavior sets the tone for his kabuki theatre, where departing Mormons lament over the grief of losing their close knit community, while framing their new morality as freedom from the cult. He became a Mormon critic after adopting feminist concepts that encourage an acceptance of sex outside of marriage and homo-sexuality, which by any constraint mocks the Christian Bible teachings and embodies the Anti-Christ, Anti-Family challenge of our time. Dehlin portrayed his disdain for Bible teachings through a doctrine of criticizing the leadership for not allowing women and the LBGTQ members to hold key administration and teaching positions in the church. When Dehlin was unceremoniously excommunicated for his condemnation of the Churches’ refusal to adopt his secular reforms, he became yet another enemy of Mormonism in its righteous endeavor to restore the family culture.

Jessie: The Bible teaches that Abram (later Abraham) lived in Egypt for a time. Genesis 12:10 ¶ "And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land." That occurred after the confounding of languages. Genesis 11:7 "Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech." So, Abram learned Egyptian and was capable of communicating with the Pharaoh. Israel and Egypt share a common border. Book of Mormon/Mormon 9:32 "And now, behold, we have written this record according to our knowledge, in the characters which are called among us the reformed Egyptian, being handed down and altered by us, according to our manner of speech.
33 And if our plates had been sufficiently large we should have written in Hebrew; but the Hebrew hath been altered by us also; and if we could have written in Hebrew, behold, ye would have had no imperfection in our record." The people of the Book of Mormon knew both Hebrew and Egyptian but both had been altered "according to our manner of speech." You should also remember that the children of Israel was held captive in Egypt before Moses led them out of Egypt. They certainly knew the language of Egypt.
    Ezekiel 20:5 ¶ "And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the Lord your God;
6 In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:" Are we going to dispute with the Lord God of Israel that he didn't supply Israel a "promised land" with milk and honey? So, is the Bible wrong? "The Sinai Peninsula or simply Sinai (now usually /ˈsaɪnaɪ/ SY-ny, also /ˈsaɪniaɪ/ SY-nee-eye and US: /ˈsaɪneɪaɪ/ SY-nay-eye)[1][2][3] is a peninsula in Egypt, and the only part of the country located in Asia." [Wikipedia/Sinai Peninsula] We can't be sure what type of animal life was here when the Book of Mormon people arrived. Anti-Mormon people used to really like the scripture about elephant but we've discovered Mammoth remains which is pretty close to the elephant.
Your calculations do not take Continental Drift into consideration. The distance across the ocean might have been less than present. Genesis 1:9 ¶ "And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Genesis 10:25 "And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.
" The division of the earth may accout for all those animals being here in the Americas.
The culture and history the Nephites was strongly affected by war, earthquakes and severe storms.
Indians are mongoloid? "Mongoloid (/ˈmɒŋ.ɡə.lɔɪd/) is a grouping of various peoples indigenous to Asia, North America, South America, and the Pacific Islands (with some exceptions). It is one of the outdated three races proposed by Georges Cuvier in the 18th century, the other two groups being Caucasoid and Negroid." [Wikipedia/Mongoloid People]. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do not consider the Nephites to have been Jews. They were of the Israelite Tribe of Manasseh. Alma 10:3 "And Aminadi was a descendant of Nephi, who was the son of Lehi, who came out of the land of Jerusalem, who was a descendant of Manasseh, who was the son of Joseph who was sold into Egypt by the hands of his brethren."
The Jews are descendants of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin. This classification is outdated Jessie.

    Joseph Smith As A Monotheist
There are three major stages in the development of Joseph Smith’s doctrine of Deity. The earliest stage is represented by the Book of Mormon (1830), the Book of Moses (1830-31), and the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible (1833). Many passages from these early works of Joseph Smith reveal his belief in monotheism. Here are a few of the numerous examples:
    Book of Mormon, Alma 11:26-28
“And Zeezrom said unto him: Thou sayest there is a true and living God. And Amulek said: Yea, there is a true and living God. Now Zeezrom said: Is there more than one God? And he answered, No.”
The Book of Mormon ‘Testimony of the Three Witnesses’ Preface:
“And honor be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, which is one God. Amen.”
Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible Isaiah 44:6,8 (left unchanged):
“Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer, the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.”
The Book of Moses, Moses 1:6:
“And I have a work for thee, Moses, my son; and thou art in the similitude of my Only Begotten; and mine Only Begotten is and shall be the Savior, for he is full of grace and truth; but there is no God beside me, and all things are present with me, for I know them all.”
Now many Mormons have tried their best to harmonize and rationalize the monotheistic passages in the Book of Mormon with Joseph’s later teaching of the plurality of Gods, by saying while there are many Gods, “there is only one God with whom we have to do, or whom we worship”. But in light of the JST version of Isaiah 44:8 (“Is there a God beside me? yea, There is no God; I know not any”) and a number of other passages like Isaiah 43:10-11; 45:21-22; 46:9, it’s hard to argue this position.
    Joseph Smith as a “Binitarian”
In 1834-35, during the Kirtland, Ohio period, Joseph Smith made a major departure from the Book of Mormon emphasis on the Father and Son as the same person. While still apparently maintaining there is only one God (monotheism), he began to teach there are two persons within the Godhead - the Father and the Son. Theologians call this “binitarianism.” This second stage in Joseph’s teaching regarding Deity is found in the Doctrine and Covenants “Lectures on Faith”:
    Lectures on Faith, Lecture Five:
There are two personages who constitute the great, matchless, governing and supreme power over all things - by whom all things were created and made . . . They are the Father and the Son: The Father being a personage of spirit, glory and power: possessing all perfection and fullness: The Son, who was in the bosom of the Father, a personage of tabernacle, made and fashioned like unto man.
Lectures on Faith, Lecture Five (question and answer section)
    Q. How many personages are there in the Godhead?
    A. Two: the Father and the Son.
According to the Lectures on Faith, the Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit (the two terms were not distinguished at this stage), is not a person, but is the shared ‘mind’ of the Father and Son.
    Joseph Smith As A Polytheist
The Book of Abraham, first published in 1842, represents the fourth and final stage of Joseph Smith’s developing doctrine of Deity. Here, for the first time, Joseph spells out in no uncertain terms the doctrine of the plurality of Gods:
    Book of Abraham 4:2-3
“And the earth, after it was formed, was empty and desolate . . . and the Spirit of the Gods was brooding upon the face of the waters. And they (the Gods) said: Let there be light.”
Expressions such as “the Gods called,” “the Gods ordered,” and “the Gods prepared” occur 45 times in Abraham 4-5. And directly related to the doctrine of the plurality of Gods is Joseph’s teaching that Heavenly Father is an exalted man who Himself has a Father, and whose Father has a Father, ad infinitum.
In a June 16, 1844 sermon recorded in the History of the Church, Joseph described this new understanding that there are many Gods and that Heavenly Father is Himself the offspring of a more ancient Deity:
Joseph Smith’s King Follet Discourse (History of the Church, vol. 6)
“I want to reason a little on this subject (that God himself has a father). I learned it by translating the (Book of Abraham) papyrus that is now in my house. I learned a testimony concerning Abraham, and he reasoned concerning the God of heaven . . . If Abraham reasoned thus - If Jesus Christ was the Son of God, and John discovered that God the Father of Jesus Christ had a Father, you may suppose that He had a Father also.”

@Vox Populi this is precisely the type of silly criticism I am talking about. Apocalypse says "do not add to this book". The issue with your interpretation is:
      1. Apocalipse was not the last book to be written. It was only compiled as the last.
      2. The bible was compiled in one book hundreds of years after it was written. So when it said "do not add to this book" it could not be talking about the whole bible because it did not exist as one big book at the time.
      3. Deuteronomy says the same thing Apocalypse said. Using this logic nothing after deuteronomy would be valid.
Again, 90% of what Jessie is saying are arguments as silly as this one you offered. It does not prove the Book of mormon false. It only shows the low intellectual level of the criticism and person behind it.

    • @luizsilva9991
      @luizsilva9991 Před 5 lety +1

@Vox Populi Both books (deuteronomy and Revelations) states this and at the time, both were separate volume of scriptures. What that indicates is that these verses were not meant to be read as "do not add" to the Bible, but to these books individually.
The Bible does not reference Joseph Smith nor the Book of Mormon, nor it has to. No Old Testament book references Jesus Christ by name, does that mean Jesus was a false prophet? Obviously it will not mention Joseph Smith, because he was born almost 2 thousand years after the bible was written.
What is possible, however, is to find parallels between the Bible and the book of Mormon. Remember the book claims it was written in America, by different people. It does not need to be referenced in the bible.
No one needs the book of Mormon to be saved, because Jesus atonement provided the way by which everyone can be saved. However, if the Book of Mormon is true, then rejecting it ultimately means rejecting the God who sent it. So, in that sense, no one can ultimately be exalted and at the same time reject God's scripture, whether be the Book of Mormon of the Bible.
Again, what sometimes seems to be an obvious mistake are often a misconception and misrepresentation of what things really are.
      Take care

The article is about a papyrus roll (P. Amherst 63) discovered in the late 19th century at Luxor (ancient Thebes). It took more than 120 years to decipher the text. Thank you for posting.
One of the most absurd things about the Book of Mormon is how it records King James Version translation errors (sometimes verbatim). For example, Isaiah 50:11 was copied almost verbatim from the 1769 KJV (see: 2 Nephi 7:11). The issue here is with the KJV's translation of the Hebrew word ziqah as "with sparks."
"That compass yourselves about with sparks - Lit. as R.V., that gird yourselves about with firebrands." - Cambridge Bible for Schools & Colleges
"With sparks; or rather, with firebrands, as this word is fitly rendered, Proverbs 26:18, which is better than sparks or flames, which is put in the margin, because firebrands only, and not sparks or flames, are capable of being thrown by one man at another." - Matthew Poole's Commentary
Here is a look at how the English of this verse developed:
    Wycliffe "with flawmes"
    Coverdale "with the flame"
Great Bible "stere vp the coales"
    Geneva Bible "with sparkes"
Bishops Bible "stirre vp the coales"
    DRB "with flames"
    1611 KJV "with sparks"
    1769 KJV "with sparks"
    * BOM "with sparks"
As one can see the rendering "with sparks" was introduced to this verse by the GNV. It was then carried over to the KJV and copied by Smith into his book. Most modern Bible versions translate the word as "with firebrands" (although some have "torches"). When considering the English development of this verse, it should be obvious where Smith obtained the words for 2 Nephi 7:11 from. This is not an isolated incident as there are many other verses in the Book of Mormon that contain 1769 KJV translation mistakes. Are we to believe that ancient plates contained 17th century translation mistakes? Are we to believe that even with the Urim & Thummim, the seer stone, and "the gift and power of God" that Smith still couldn't get the translation right?
Another absurdity in the Book of Mormon is that it contains words that are not correct and have no support in the Hebrew. For example, Isaiah 14:19 was copied into the BOM with some modification (see: 2 Nephi 24:19). For some reason Smith decided to change the word "raiment" to "remnant." Although these words looks similar in English they look very different in Hebrew.
    lebush = raiment
    sheerith = remnant
When commenting on 2 Nephi 24:19, IRR.ORG states: "this could have been a scribal hearing mistake, but the evidence of P and the 1830 edition is somewhat against it and should be allowed to stand." Of course there are no ancient MSS that agree with the Book rendering "remnant". In fact that Qumran Isaiah scroll confirms the KJV's translation. There are some other examples of Smith changing KJV words to homonyms, which suggests his reliance on an English source and not translating from an ancient document.

This is a sad attempt at trying to discredit something without understanding... you've lost me on your 1st point alone..... (iv'e decided to revise this to help you further)
1st REFORMED EGYPTIAN.... there are 3 reformed Egyptian languages that have been found to date, the first can be found on the Rosetta stone (if you know what that is), which helped in the translation of the Egyptian hieroglyphs. (a priestly reformed Egyptian language exists also)
2nd BIBLICAL INTERACTION WITH EGYPT.... ABRAHAM spoke to Pharaoh in his day... did Pharaoh speak a minor regional language like Hebrew? (which was only still developing) or did he speak a form of Egyptian? MOSES was raised an Egyptian.... what language did he speak?.... JESUS even went to Egypt as a child, is Egypt so bad? Did he speak Egyptian with his childhood friends?.... or maybe Greek at this time? The Egyptians are descendants of the bible... does NOAH's descendants ring a bell? Egypt, Egypt, Egypt was important to Israel.
3rd HONEY BEES..... bees have existed for a very long time all over the world in there many forms, (Australia has a native bee that looks like a fly, but Europeans didn't bring that here). the desert location in the book of Mormon was referring to a part of what is now modern day 'OMAN' on the Arabian peninsula where both bees and wood for building ships can be found as it still gets hit with the Indian ocean monsoons on that little bit of the peninsula.
4th OTHER RIVERS (Lamen/Lemuel).... what's now called a 'Wadi's' in Arabic can flow on a continued basis. the one in the Book of Mormon was from along the Saudi Arabian Peninsula. But a study into ancient river systems of the region can show that there have been other 'greater rivers' in past time that have now stopped flowing and have been covered by deserts... have you heard of climate change? what about the Indus valley civilization of India and the other great river that use to flow there? (and what constituted a 'river' to Lehi? here in Australia we say 'river', but some of them don't flow for decades).
5th WHEAT, BARLEY and OLIVES in the AMERICA'S....... most of these haven't YET been found, HOWEVER.... and the first thing you should know that grains come from grasses that ARE found all of the world....secondly 'BARLEY' varieties have been found in PRE-COLOMBIAN America. Near Phoenix, Arizona 'HOHOKAM' archaeological site an ancient 'BARLEY' was used. (also other sites in Central and South America).... as for the animals more are being discovered including 'ELEPHANTS' (there own genus), including a pygmy elephant found as far south as Mexico (and i don't mean mammoths). 'ELEPHANT engravings were found on spears even in 'ECUADOR' in South America (Crespi 'GOLD' Plates), also Yalloch, Guatamala.
6th SWINE...... Jews may have NOT EATEN them (at least the devout ones), but their skins etc... were useful and used.... why do you think NOAH was told to put 'UNCLEAN' animals as well as "CLEAN' animals onto the ark? because they were useful to man.
7th BOOK OF ETHER.... snakes killing sheep, and Jews eating sheep....... are you serious? the people of Ether DID NOT descend for the JEWS... of coarse is was OK from them to eat.... you do know only one of the tribes of Israel are Jews? and only one of the many of Abraham's descendants were for Israel (Jacob)? there were ALOT of other groups....
8th CHICKEN's..... LOOK at far South America and the chicken that laid blue speckled eggs....same as in the pacific islands (a trade route of ancient kingdoms...)...... you 'Butter' comment is way off...... many animals can be used to do that...from buffalo in North America to Llamas in South America......
this is getting boring, so ill leave you with the following.... good on ya for trying, but please, please, don't criticize what you don't know.
Joseph Smith wasn't perfect, but nether was any other besides Christ.... have you read the full story of Jonah? Moses wasn't allowed into the promised land of Israel? Simon Peter even knowing Christ denied him?....... but the book of Mormon however should be studied and not just read from a western Greco-Roman thought process. Please learn, study, pray, and then comment, not just rely on what you perceive as logic. Thankyou

He wrote that, of course, in 1829 or 30 and people in his day laughed at how stupid he was to include that in the Book of Mormon. Funny thing is, Nahom exists and it has an ancient burial ground and the paradise of Bountiful was found sometime after 1920 in Oman on the coast. It is now a resort at Salalah, Oman.

@@specialk7715 Several decades ago, Heber J Grant who was one of our Prophets and Presidents of the church had an acquaintance who came up to him and showed him a scripture out of the Book of Mormon in the 3rd chapter of Heleman where it mentions cement. He tried to argue with the prophet telling him he was a fool for believing in the book because no where in ancient America was cement ever found or discovered. Everyone knows that the American Indians never used cement, he said. Grant slammed is hand down on the table and said that doesn't effect my faith one bit. If my children's generation does not find it then my grandchildren's generation will. Not long after that the city of Teotihuacan was discovered and Heber J Grants prediction turned out to be true. Not only was cement found but both the geographic location and the timeline matched as well. One person put their faith in science while the other put his faith in the BoM. And the one who put his faith in the BoM was the one who was correct. Over the course of the next several decades Anti Mormons laughed and scorned us because the BoM mentions fortifications. And yet no fortifications were ever found. Until we got to the latter part of the 20th century all the LDS people could come back with is we have our faith that they existed. And of course we would be called stupid for believing it because if they would have existed then they would have already been found. So they thought. But, then they were discovered and as archaeologist learned of the nature of them they found not only did they exist but that they were actually common both throughout the Mayan region and also the Hopwell Mound builders. They even matched the descriptions given in the BoM such as digging trenches around the cities and using the dirt to build mounds with wooden walls on top of the mounds about the height of a man. They also matched the timelines in the BoM. Are you seeing a pattern yet? Let me give you one more example. Jessie mentions in her video about a place in the Arabian Peninsula the BoM referred to as the land of Bountiful. A place with bees, timber, mountains, ore, fresh water,.and a cliff. Anti Mormons had a lot of fun with this one because no such place exist or could exist through out the Arabian Peninsula because it was all desert. All the way up until the 21st century LDS scholars had no answer for this. So naturally the anti Mormons all laughed and used this as what they saw was indisputable proof that Joseph Smith made the whole book up. And we dumb Mormons were just too stupid to see that this was not possible. And yet it was. Because such a place was actually discovered in the early 21st century. And all of the goodies mentioned in the BoM were all in just the right place. It is funny that Jessie mentioned this place because she was obviously going off of outdated anti Mormon literature because smart anti Mormons won't even dare try using this argument anymore. I could give you a list of many more things that archaeology was wrong on that later was proven otherwise in favor of the BoM. But my message is too long already. The point is that the evidence is getting stronger and stronger with time. And the list of arguments that the anti's are using against the BoM is slowly disappearing.

If he was someone trying to pull off a great scheme why try to be so specific about things he knew nothing about? Things that "can easily disprove" the Book of Mormon. If he was just a clever guy who was trying to make up one of the greatest books ever translated in history he would of been general about details and not try to make giant bold statements that could/would be questioned. To be able to feel the merging of the Holy Ghost spirit, with yours, within your own body is a most wonderful experience! I cherish it above all, the greatest experience of my life. I don't know why God took so long to send this Holy Ghost to me as stated in Moroni :10-4. I could of easily have fallen away as you and many others have done! I would then be in the same predicament as you are. Why He did not choose a lovely person such as you, and many others, I do not understand. God finally sending the Holy Ghost to me, has been the most important event in my life. Meant everything to me! I understand how you feel, I hurt for you and others! I can understand how you feel, for there are over a hundred good and justified reasons for you to believe so. But a member of the God Head, the Holy Ghost, has let me know he supports this Book of Mormon. Something I cannot deny. I find giving my testimony to non believers has little if any effect on their line of thinking!
But this testimony is the most important item I can leave to my children and grandchildren. I pray that if you try again as stated in Moroni :10-4 that God will send this Holy Ghost unto you. But is took over 30 years before God finally answered those prayers for me.
I don't understand why God is so stingy with this Holy Ghost! But I am an ignorant old man! But very very thankful, appreciative and grateful to God and the Holy Ghost, and many others, for I am nothing important!

Since 'helmet' is a word commonly used in the KJV Bible, and since the word 'helmet' was known to be in English usage from the middle English of the 1400s, I am guessing that the head-plates differed somewhat from what would be considered helmets. For a mention of head-plates, along with a description preceding of a 'shield to protect their heads' see in the Book of Mormon Alma 43 beginning in verse 19.

Reformed languages are everywhere and yes even reformed versions of Egyptian exist such as Demotic Egyptian.
She says you can't have fruit or bees in the Sinai desert. And yet, if you look carefully at the Saudi Arabian peninsula there is one location that is an oasis to the desert where fruit, ore, timber, and wild bees are found...precisely where the Book of Mormon says you would find it. Have you ever considered that Joseph Smith was worse than just a con man who wanted money and sex- that he was indeed a warlock actually intentionally deceiving the lost sheep of Israel? I believe this is very much the case. You are still using the term Jew to describe one of the 12/ 13 tribes when "jews" is only juddah. It might seem unimportant, but it is not.

I abaolutely believe this to be true! When he died, a Jupiter talisman was found in his pocket. I did some research on what that was and it blew my mind! May I sugest you look it up as well? That is, if you haven't all ready. He was a true antichrist, using magic and spells and blasphemy...

Oh, thanks so much! I need to fill out that section! 😄 I just dove right into this channel in December after getting inspired to share the Gospel with the Mormon people. My husband and I met with missionaries for 4 months straight and would have met longer but got shut down by the missionary president who realized that we were the ones doing the converting. Besides the missionaries, we live in a community with many Mormons.. lots of friends and neighbors! The more I learned about the belief system, the more concerned I have become for their souls because they teach a completely different "gospel" and a different god than the true God of the Bible. And then when you become familiar with the horrific history that is so packed full of lies and deception, you can't help but to tell the world what you know. Well, I'm speaking for myself here. 😊 I just want the Mormons to see the Satanic influence over a religion that they believe is the "one true church." My prayer is that they find freedom and peace in coming to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and see that the Gospel message of the Bible is the real message that saves and transforms lives. Thanks for watching and for the encouragement. ❤

    Ephesians 2:8,9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
No one can work their way to God . Baptism doesn’t save a person. The Bible says our works are as filthy rags. ( rags: what women would wear during their menstrual period) Baptism is a picture of what happens in a Believer when he or she accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior, believing He is who he said he is, and that his blood, shed on the cross, is FULL PAYMENT of all ( ALL!!!! ) of our sins. When Jesus died he said “ it is finished “. His reason for coming to earth was complete. He paid for all sins. If we believe and confess that Jesus IS Lord, we turn from our wicked ways and walk in obedience out of love for God, as the Holy Spirit ( who then lives inside of us ) guides us. There is nothing we can DO to get to God!! No actions can add or take away from what Jesus already has done. If you try to “ be good “ to get to Heaven, you need to know that is false teaching. Lots of people have “ good deeds” yet don’t believe Jesus. Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven. He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE!! That’s the Gospel. It’s the best news EVER! The Truth will set you free!! ❤️
