Cover of "Headstrong" by Trapt off of their album, Trapt. Tuning is B Standard. For best sound, please listen with headphones. Enjoy, like, and subscribe for more vids!! Facebook: / mysticguitar77
Yet another classic from the early 2000's. IMO, not my favorite song to play with all the string skipping and whatnot but it's a bucket list song, had to do it, ya know? :p
You rocked it! Second Wave Nu Metal done by the Master....MYSTIC GUITAR!!!! ....and yeah, I may not play guitar anymore......but man, that looked hard to play! ROCK ON ROCK STAR!!!!!
@@craigime Excellent question. From 1992 when KORN first former until 2003 when NU METAL fell from mainstream status. I started high school in '97 and finished four years later. During that time, NU METAL brought people who otherwise would not listen to Metal into the fold. So all the kids called each other a "Poser" fearing all the rappers and Goth people would nudge in on THEIR concerts that they went to get away from the Goths and Rappers. So the word was overused and died when I graduated in 2001. "POSER" was obsolete. "POSERS" are now "HIPSTERS" and only consist of rich people. Meanwhile I worked as a Wal-Mart cart pusher in those days. So Nu Metal was a balloon that had to burst cause it got too big. LIMP BIZKIT got EVERYONE into metal. Meanwhile, I was a PANTERA, SEVENDUST and GWAR kind of guy. Still am! Here is the documentary.......czcams.com/video/pqDU28zUm5E/video.html
Great thank you is there a way to get 00:18 - 00:44 and 2:54 - 3:09 without song or drums just the guitar or if you could just post your Guitar cover only
Nice man. That is like the best song from these guys. I also did a cover of that song. Not the tuning you did, but in Drop C to make it easy. I don’t know if that’s cheating. But it’s worth it.
Haha song is so cheesy with that riff reeeant rant ra ra reeeeeant rant hahaha but here I am visiting an old video of it because I of course heard it actually pop on satellite earlier and thought, hmm…I have never seen anyone cover this on guitar and thought I know who possibly just might have a cover and sure enough HA! Killer job as always. 🤘🎸🤘
@@McLeonVP B Standard is actually a 7 string tuning, but it can also be used as a 6 string variation. But it’s called a Baritone tuning. Anything below C standard or B standard for 6 string is a baritone tuning. Like for example, Korn uses A standard on 7 string guitars, there’s also A Standard for 6 string but it’s a baritone tuning. Hope that helps.

I'm gonna guess that it's easier in C lol. Don't know how you'd play the clean parts right in that tuning though.
@Jaysen V. B Standard, yeah. Definitely not in E Standard lol.

I got 5 schecters one for each tuning intonation set N all i jus want something like a baritone sound for my A#\A guitar
Got curious to see how it was played. Idk why I never learned this when I started out years ago lmao

Is this ur guitar set up for the low tunings or ur tunin pedal
It's a semi-baritone so it's setup for the low tunings. I try not to use the downtune pedal if I can avoid it because of lag and tone loss.

B Standard! Did not know it was in B Standard. I thought it was gonna be in Drop C or something!🤔

@@mishapashchenko6518 i mean the problem is the first string
you gonna have to change your finger position
What's the guitar tuning for this song? Tune down a full step??
I believe it’s b standard

Tuning?
B Standard
This song is played on a 7 string in standard B
@@tuckerhilbers460 I don't have a 7 stringed mate
@@jordanwaites04 Definitely still playable on a 6. I’ve played this song on a 6 and a 7 and I prefer the 7.
@@tuckerhilbers460 cool
The tone sounds kinda off but that's the only critique I have. Otherwise it sounds good.
