This is my review of the Albion Next Generation Bayeux, a sword inspired by the Bayeux tapestry. It is absolutely iconic to early Medieval swords, and swords like this would've seen use into the 12th century.

Love those reviews. You’re one of a kind reviewer! Thank you for your work my man!
Thank you! Much appreciated.
I really enjoy your reviews. Very down to earth. I have the Albion Stamford and find it very nice using a handshake grip.
Thanks!
Excellent review as always, thank you so much for putting so much time and effort and research into it! I love sending swords to you for review haha. Sorry about the inconsistent sharpening, I'll definitely address it now that you've brought it to my attention. I always tell everybody that the Bayeux is an absolute hidden gem. Nobody ever talks about it. My other arming swords include the Knight, the Yeoman, the Gaddhjalt, the Kingmaker, the Vassal, and previously the Arn and the Thegn. This one (to my taste) feels the best hands down. I am in love with the balance and the simple elegant beauty.
Thanks! And thank you for loaning it to me!
Matthew did a great job on that re-wrap. Love the aqua. I like a sword with a bit more weight on the bottom end so I'd love to try a Bayeux one day. Enjoyed the review.
He sure did! I definitely think you would enjoy this sword.
You can see the Bayeux tapestry in glorious Ultra-Super-Duper HD today in...
...Bayeux, France
True, but slightly less practical than a weblink!
@@alientude True. Fun fact: To those unaware, the Bayeux tapestry isn't a tapestry, and it wasn't embroidered in France.
Can you recommend any resources for learning cutting technique? 14:52
If you can't get in person training (like me - the closest HEMA school is several hours away), probably the best resource is the book Cutting with the Medieval Sword by Michael Edelson - amzn.to/3Tq82UU.
Yep she's a beauty no doubt about it 😍 100$ for a gorgeous wrap like that🤘 shut up and take my money 💸 well worth it after all if the wrap job sucks it really hurts the overall feel and even performance of a sword.
