- In this video, we boycott opening day to make this the lowest attended opening day for John Fisher because he does not deserve the fans he has. Instead of going inside we stay outside and party in the parking lot the entire game.

In my mind the absolute best success for this block party would be more people in the lot than there are in the park but either way around the fact that there were only 13,000 in the park is a resounding success for the boycott

Couldn't make it out myself last night so I appreciate this video so much. I was at an indoor play place with my daughter yesterday afternoon and on our way out I saw a dude decked out in green and gold with his son. I hollered "Sell the Team!" to the man and we had a great little conversation. He was repping a LDB t-shirt and told me he was on his way to the boycott. I was a bit jealous but also happy to see another A's fan doing their best right now despite all the static.

As a guardians fan, I really hope you guys get your team back because it's been really sad under the current ownership. I am seriously praying you guys get sold so you can enjoy baseball again. I've been to the coliseum and it was electric with the support of the fans.

I'm a Jays fan, but I've lived in California my whole life, including in Monterey County for a while. During my time up North my sister and I went to a game between the Jays and A's at the Coliseum. The atmosphere was amazing and the A's fans were very kind and welcoming even though I was decked out in Blue Jays gear. I stand with the entire Oakland fan base. You guys are some of the most passionate fans of the game and I give you my support!!! SELL THE TEAM!!!

As an Angels fan, I can relate to hating our owner and also wanting to sell our team but A's fans definitely have it worse when you compare both situations. John Fisher is truly a scum.

I went to my first A's game 51 years ago. I am flying out from New Mexico on Sunday May 5th for the game and flying back that night. Most likely my last game at the Coliseum ever. Hope to bump into you there.

Im still crushed from when my Raiders moved to Vegas, the games in Vegas are not the same as what they were in Oakland. Miss the tailgating, the culture, the real fans and just the good times we had in Oakland.

I couldn’t make it cuz of work… initially was going but I watched the broadcast and you can hear the people outside chanting sell the team after the first out. I’m thinking next statement to be organized is do this same block party for the first 4 innings… file in so we are there the beginning of the fifth inning and chant sell the team in that inning alone and walk right out back to the block party outside. And if we know it’s an espn nationally televised game what kind of impact would that be nationally? However this team is not good so who knows if there is a nationally televised game

I went into the game. What I found strange was that the seats were empty, but the concorse and concession lines were packed. People weren't going to their seats they just stayed near the concessions...the tree house was packed

This makes so sad. Oakland has some of the most passionate fans, I remember how nuts it was when the Tigers were playing there in the ALDS in 2012 and 2013, they deserve so much better than what the owner has given them

I’m a dodgers fan and I feel so bad for you A’s fans because of the current situation you guys are in.
I feel so bad bro that the franchise you support and love just doesn't care about you that really sucks.
As an Orioles fan who finally appears to have great ownership and a very good young team I truly feel for A's fans. I know first hand what a bad owner can be like. Peter Angelos owned a team in a tough division with the Yankees and Red Sox and was one of the cheapest owners. Not only do you have terrible ownership that wont spend but the team is moving to Vegas eventually and today it was confirmed they will play the next 3 years in Sacramento in a minor league park (with no official city attached I read) so 2024 is the final season for the Oakland Athletics after 56 years. Of course on top of this Oakland lost their beloved Raiders yet again and of course they went to Vegas.
I’m not a Oakland fan but I am fascinated with Oakland A’s fans and their loyalty, it’s horrible what fisher is stripping from these people. I hope they fail in Vegas.

The second lowest crowd for Opening day was the Rays at 25,000. While that is admittedly high it’s pretty low for a Opening Day crowd
