@@dasdovian7785 I don't think Crossfit filled the hole. It's really a niche community and you dont see the crossfit championships on mainstream networks. Plus Crossfit has a lotta flaws for being a less han 25y/o fitness sport

No one was ever better. Indeed, IMO, she had been robbed in '88, & easily could have won in '89, although Tinaj Milwarn WAS really good, I still thought Joan was better both years. I graduated college in 1987. Yes we definitely did aerobics!!!! At my gym I did aerobics class, stair master, weights and mat work 3-4 times a week. It was much easier to be fit with a lean muscular body due to nutrition as well! Food was so much more healthy.
So I've been binge-watching these in chronological order...and wow is it weird to not hear Crystal Light anymore...also interesting to note the names of gyms that hadn't previously appeared.

Brenda's Body Shop in Oakland, MD, is still going. Brenda still runs it. It amused me as Oakland is kind of a remote, dinky town in the far western part of the state (very pretty, though) and I didn't expect a top-class athlete to come from there. Got proved wrong and reminded me to not be a snob!

The 80s and the early 90s were very very amazing. The 80s and 90s people were good in shape and very hot too like great models. Sadly the good times of good life are gone.

13:19 my quads are burning, shins snapping just thinking about that hold with another human weighing over 100 lbs. All that and doing a crunch. I get destroyed by zerchers and front squats, but they seem like nothing compared to the intensity of these routines. Not sure why people are making fun of this competition. I'm all for the 80s and 90s glory
