- Day 1 - We traveled all the way from Kolkata on our Tata Nexon, fully loaded with Camping Accessories. Started 5 AM in the morning to visit Lulung Area of Simplipal Forest. Simplipal is beautiful Tiger Reserve with lot of River, Hillocks and Jungle in Odissa.
Tried Car Camping at dense forested area of Laxmiposi. With my oldest Partner.

Safety is one big concern during camping. That is one of the reasons why many of us choose a day picnic even though we wd love a night camping.
Safety is a concern.
1 If you camp together with few cars you can stay overnight
2 If you stay with another guy in a very remote place without anyone knowing you can.

We also do lot of camping and travel extensively - with family and pet. Next month I am driving from Bangalore to Kolkata with my family and pet and once I reach there, will do a bit of camping. Have a small and new Tube channel ( Happy Feet Memoirs) where we try to capture our memories 😊

It's part of the protected forest. There are multiple check gates of forest.
I went there thinking, since there is a Resort nearby there would be space around. Was not aware that it also is part of Protected forest.

Just need to know few things as I am interested in doing all this sort of camping. Did you get any booking for this place as its inside Simlipal ? Also is it allowed to camp inside Simlipal National Park ?? If you did booking then how you did that ??
As far I see this spot, located just outside the entry gate or check-post , so probably no official permission required , unless otherwise inhabitants around this spot objects. Thanks

@@shouviksett I entered to see if we can camp near Lulung. Which was not possible given it's part of protected area. So we came out and searched for a suitable place and found one in Laxmiposi. No permission taken. In other words, don't know whose jurisdiction those land fall into. For our liking, luckily the place have lot of trees around its like the outer part of the Simplipal Forest which is not part of Protected area
