I ordered my Akai MPC 61-keyboard last July. The distributor (Sweetwaters) told me I should receive it in the middle of August. Then they extended it to two weeks. Once the two weeks arrived, they told me maybe by the end of October. I am frustrated with these indefinite postponements and the inability of anyone to explain this. Can anyone explain this and/or direct me to how I can buy this instrument in a more timely manner.
I will say though that a portable unit that weighs less and perhaps a little less features that runs on regular Duracell type batteries like the Korg Kross 2 would be a nice addition to the Akai line up of products...Portability in a so called Complete workstation keyboard when there are no power outlets around is really important.. ARE YOU SEEING THIS AKAI. ???.
Look into all the portable 'solar generators' that the van life community are using. 'Jackery' is a make. They would solve all your portable power problems.
Can expansions be downloaded on the mpc key 61 without a computer?

So what should I do with my MPC live 2? I was not that impressed with it it's still new, Can I trade it in and pay the difference for the MPC keys 61?

You can expand them! As of version 2.10, standalone MPCs support class-compliant audio interfaces which allows you to expand up to 32 ins/outs.
Do Akia have it in all black?or will be making it in all black?
Question. Are you able to use the plug-ins the added to the mpc keys 61 on your other mpc’s or do you still have to pay for them separately?
You can use them on up to 3 units

Yes, you can!
Problem ist maximum 8 plugin record and ende normal workstacion 16 track midi voice
Question: What is the height of it? I am wondering if it will fit on the slide-in shelf of my work-desk.
The body measure about 90mm high, with one of the knobs poking above a touch bringing it to about 100mm. So if your shelf is anything above 105/110mm then you should be good!

This is correct, this has not yet been implemented.

Yes it has wireless internet connectivity!
WiFi is a wireless connection. Do you mean can it connect to the internet via WIFi as WiFi is not the same as internet . WiFi is the wireless connection between device and router . If this is what you mean then yes it can

That would be cool! Perhaps an M32 type keyboard integrated into the Maschine+ which would keep it reasonably compact and portable.
Video summary: this is a keyboard synthesizer and has cool blee blops and some traditional keys. Oh and don’t forget get the trap beatsssssssss
