Raining Records !!! An Unexpected Haul

This was an awesome and surprising record haul for me! I think the guy selling was frustrated with trying to get rid of them. He had been trying for days to sell them all. Plus, he was probably tired of putting up with the musty smell in his SUV. Fortunately, only the records in the cardboard boxes were the smelly ones. Unfortunately, most of the records in the cardboard boxes are way too damaged from poor care and mold to be salvaged. I will probably have to trash many of those.
The stacked unboxed records were mostly in VG to near mint condition and thankfully free of water damage and mold . Many still had shrink wrap and some were still sealed. Many were promotional records marked with radio station info and stamped "Discarded". I guess that explains where these came from.

You got some awesome punk, new wave, and alternative finds Holy Cow. The Dead Milkman album "lizard in my back yard" goes for around 80 to 99 bucks on Ebay! Nothing better than being at the right place and the right time for some exciting lots. Been there and it's a amazing feeling my friend. You did great! Cheers Flash.

Amazing vinyl haul! Those 90’s pressings were very few and far between. I have a section in my collection with vinyl from when I worked at a record store in the early 90’s. I wish that I would of got more. No one wanted them, so ones that my manager didn’t want, he would throw my way. But there’s some amazing albums in there. I still keep in touch with a couple of coworkers. They never brought home any vinyl. Our manager had thousands of albums in his house, I’ve never seen that many, still haven’t in one collection. If I only knew then, what I know now…. I’m sure many of us say that. My Dad got back into vinyl before I did. It took me living in China, listening to the vinyl guide podcast to get the bug. I started sharing it with my dad, and we really connected with our love of albums as a whole and the magical sound of vinyl. Thanks for a great video!

Great stuff there Topper for $25, you cleaned up that box alone, I can't believe there is a Weird Paul record in there, he has a very bizarre channel here on CZcams, that is a very cool find, his channel name is Weird Paul. That Ramones album goes for around the $35 mark. Excellent stuff here. Enjoy the tunes.

That first Manfred Mann LP is a really nice find--they were doing some great blues back then. That colored vinyl Butthole Surfers album could probably fetch $25 by itself. Interesting selection!
Wow! I would have brought that record stack just for the artwork, beautiful. Not sure if you’ve heard of Violent Femmes, but the songs well known on that album you pulled out are Add It Up and Blister In The Sun. My cousin got me listening to them when I was a kid.

Most of the records in the two cardboard boxes were moldy, smelly and damaged. I cleaned a few to donate to thrift stores and and threw the rest away! I am still cleaning and going through the ones in the Tupperware crate. Most are keepers!

I go to the Cheap Thrills in Princeton and Beckley all the time and I'm always dropping more than I should on good records haha. You got a steal for 25 bucks. The L7, Meat Puppets and Sgt. Peppers records would get you 25 bucks each easily. Next time I go to the record store and see your son I'll tell him I watched your video on CZcams. Keep em spinning dude.
You've got a lot of $10, $20, and $30 records from the 90s there, with some worth even more.
That box on the left has some good records. I have that split enz album a good copy is a bit pricey.

I was a huge Split Enz fan when I was younger. Incidentally, Neil Finn was in Split Enz and Crowded House. He (and Mike Campbell) replaced Lindsey Buckingham in Fleetwood Mac.
I saw Man Or Astroman? live a bunch back in the 90's. They were a fun surf/instrumental/punk band from down South. Their records were good, but you really had to experience them live.
I'm friends with Weird Paul on Facebook. He's one of the original vloggers and he plays in an indie band.
Your money is in the last plastic bin that you went through. You'll definitely make your $25 back on that stuff. The rest of the stuff, I'm not so sure about. That's cool, though. You helped the dude out that needed the money. You got some stuff to flip. Like you said, you can trash the rest if it's moldy/too far gone. Good haul!
