I cant believe how detailed this review is.
This is a most thorough review of the XR's photographic capabilities but for some may be a bit hard to understand. The solution to making sense of the sped-up narration is to play the video back at .75 speed. Having captions enabled also helps. There's a lot of detail presented here, and trying to keep up during accelerated playback requires more effort than should be necessary.

Thanks. You can upgrade to the XR, but better decision would be to stick with the 7 Plus for another 3 months and get the next gen iPhone XR (or whatever Apple decides to call it).

I really like your detailed review sagar! I'm interested in this phone and your video really helps to see the different shots it takes. I'm wondering about that portrait and pet setting, I love taking photos of my puppy. He turns his head a lot when I try to take a fast shot, would this camera be good for those? Would you recommend a different camera for that type of photography? Thanks for the video keep rocking!
I am glad you liked the video. XR is really good, but if you can stretch your budget a bit, I would suggest to get the iPhone 11, cameras are much improved over the XR, and it can also take portraits of pets and other non human subjects.

Also I think you know that mate 20 pro packs in the best of every smartphone feature possible.
First of all it's not 720p, it is 828p and many and I mean many more people are interested in iPhone XR videos (I get ton of comments and requests everyday). Plus the Mate 20 Pro is going to be a big flop in India like its predecessor (coz of its price). If people are going to spend over 60-70K here, they will go for Samsung or Apple, no matter how good other phones are (I know it's sad but its true).
Plus Huawei as a brand isn't well established in the minds of Indian people, so it's a huge pain for me while trying to resell that phone, and I have to take a big big loss in that case (which is not at all good for my channel)
So it's 90% certain that I am not going to buy that phone. I'll make videos about it if Huawei sends it to me, but chances of that happening are very slim.
@@Tecworkz Don't waste your money on Mate 20 pro. Let the comparisons come with other popular mainstream devices like OP6, 6T, S9 etc. Comparison with Nokia 7.1 plus would be a treat to watch.

Is the Xr camera good on Snapchat? I heard the quality is pretty bad. If the camera is fine then it’s the app that has the problem right?
It is pretty good for Snapchat.
I think the problem with Snapchat is that it zooms in really close when using the front facing camera. It’s most likely a Snapchat issue that they’ll hopefully fix

It depends on what you are looking to do on your phone. If you are a normal user who doesn't take a ton of images, or for whom their smartphone is not the only camera they depend on, then you definitely can. Not that XR has a bad camera or anything like that, in fact as far as single camera goes, it is still one of the best ones out there. It's just that, if you want good cameras as well, you should at least look at the iPhone 11, as it gives you more versatile set of cameras.
I am saying all this, considering that you are thinking about a new iPhone XR. If you are thinking about getting a used one, then it's a big NO! Hope this helps.

Hi - a very helpful review. I am looking to get a new phone - but use my phones mostly as a camera. Are you able to adjust settings manually with this phone? For example, I often like to play with the aperture to get dark/ whited out shots. I also love being able to head the lens straight into the sun - to change daytime into dramatic scenes/ silhouette and sunsets. Will this camera do that - or is it 'too smart' and adjusts itself to avoid dark foreground?
You can use a manual camera app like Filmic Pro (or any of the other ones) to change all the settings manually. Yes, it does adjust the settings automatically coz it has Smart HDR and it is that smart, but you can turn that off from the photos settings and then capture silhouettes.

I think wide angle portrait is better because you get more space in the shots.
I prefer telephoto portraits. Portraits are not about the space in the shot, you are supposed to fill the frame with ur subject , so telephoto portraits always look better. Even on DSLR cameras lenses used for portraits are upwards of 50mm.

These are 2 very different phones man. It totally depends on your budget and what you expect out of your smartphone.
If budget is not a big worry, then definitely go for the iPhone XR.

Depends on what you need. Both are great phones and the XR is the better value phone, but if the telephoto lens, slightly smaller bezels and higher res display are important than to for the XS. Otherwise you should be fine with the XR.

No it's not the same. iPhone XS Max uses secondary telephoto lens for zoom, so its actually optical zoom, while the XR has single lens, so it digitally zooms in the image, which results in some loss of quality.
Hey , My Xr front camera displays glares while taking images outdoors..and indoors the images are pixelated (front-camera only)

Glares on the front facing cameras are mostly caused by the screen protector which cover the notch and camera.
