    Great video! This will come in handy after my local garage has been working on my car (there is a lot of plastic clips on the panels and they seem to break them off every time they work on my car.

      Does Dichloromethane ( Methylene Chloride ) produce a stronger bond a) ABS. to ABS and b) Polycarb to Polycarb?
      Got 2 jobs to do :-/

    Thank you. Are you able to use this solvent to merge acrylic to styrene or only one type of plastic to another?

    • @KevinTodd

      Not sure..... the process is the same I see no reason why it wouldn't......a little test would tell...thank you for watching

      @@KevinTodd hello again. Just wanted to report back and say that styrene bonds beautifully to cast acrylic! I used Weld-On 4 and it's fused the pieces into one, rock hard.

    Will that solvent weld product bond pvc cap to a Polycarbonate tube?

    • @KevinTodd
      @KevinTodd  Před 5 lety

      I'm not sure about that it would have to be tried first I don't see no reason why it wouldn't but I'm not sure what the strength would be so I'm afraid to say either way but thank you very much for watching

      the process is the same for both just test small test sample allow 24 hours for full cure to see if it bonds properly thank you for watching.
