- Brutal crashes, a ginormous flip, and even an instance of perfect parking that I'm sure you'll agree was completely intentional after seeing the footage. Absolutely satisfying chaos. I was hoping I'd get a hundred, but with my sucky driving, that was just too ambitious.
burnout paradise was so ahead of it's time, when it got remastered, it didn't look all that different

EA's remasters are just for console players to get their 4k60fps possibility. PC players only gain dead servers of original games and additional payment from them.

I just bought it yesterday; still have xbox 360. I tried Forza Horizon & didn't like that, so traded it for B:P, and Road Rage is my favourite! I discovered I'm lethal... lol! Not bad for a 61-yr-old cat lady. :-D

Nice! Ya love to see it. A lotta driving and racing games these days just wanna be as realistic as possible so gems like the Burnout games that embrace being fun and chaotic are getting increasingly rare. Still, if you ever wanna play newer games that focus on being wild like Burnout did, I hear Wreckfest is a great option.

If you downgrade your copy down to 1.0 which I'm sure there's tutorials on the Burnout subreddit on how to do that, road rages can last as long as you want granted that you don't run out of time nor total your car.
I will say that the AI is a LOT more aggressive in that version of the game, the cars are much faster, and the crash physics have more weight causing the cars to flip more

Showtime is worst idea they could have did, crash mode was a masterpiece, all they had to do was build on that, add buildings to smash through, proper traffic checking where you can use boost to traffic check heavy vehicles, that woukd have been awesome, stuff like that, not rolling a piece of tin hitting cars that barely ever crash into you.

I think they only do that for channels that are monetized. I just upload gameplay clips and shitposts and don't plan on monetizing the channel, so I don't mind a content ID claim that has 'em like running ads over it. Just as long as people can actually see the videos.
I wish it was possible to buy a complete retail copy of this. I want to play it, buy I refuse to buy digital copies that are forever locked to the system that downloaded them, or buy a retail copy that's missing all the patches and DLC.
Hey EA, I want to give you my money, make a retail copy that includes the COMPLETE game!
@@lurkerrekrul totally get this sentiment but personally I came to appreciate Steam and GOG on account of one being a decent service compared to most of its competition and the other letting you download updated DRM free copies of games you purchased. Digital has its problems especially with preservation and ownership but it ain't all bad.
@@ThePeteriarchy To be clear, I have nothing against digital distribution in general, I just hate how it's done in practice, with the exception of GOG.
If you're on a console, anything you download, such as whole games, or patches and DLC for retail games, will be locked to that console. If it ever dies and you buy a replacement, any "backups" you made are worthless because it's a different console and it thinks you're trying to pirate the content. Yes, you can re-download it, IF it's still available, and IF the console in question is still supported.
I know the Remastered version was released in a retail edition for consoles (which I don't own, and which are increasingly being designed with timebombs in them, so that they will eventually become unusable), but those versions also need patches, which can only be obtained by connecting the console to an online service.
When it comes to services like Steam and Origin, not only is it a distribution system, but it's also online DRM with the ability to brick your games if they ever decide that you've violated the terms of service. Plus, the windows port of Burnout Paradise: Remastered (which my current system can't even run) has Denuvo DRM, which is notorious for hampering performance. Unfortunately, while most every other Denuvo protected game has been cracked, that one never has been. I doubt it's from a lack of ability, I think it just didn't get noticed. And being from EA, the chances of it ever showing up on GOG are slim.
t used to be that if you bought a console game, you got the entire game and could own it for life. Or if you bought a computer game, after you installed it, you could go online and download any patches the game might require, which you were then free to archive. Today, you buy a console game and it's probably seriously broken until it downloads a ton of patches, and if it's a Windows game, you have to go through activation, and let the game itself download the patches, etc. It seems like you can't play any of today's games without being tied to a remote server for something. :(

Yeah, dunno why that happened either. I think I went into the trigger for the repair shop just as I got wrecked so it's programmed in such a way that it lets you survive that lol
