Thanks so much for demoing Legacy Update! Update search takes a long time because it does a bunch of processing to figure out which updates are applicable to you. It's the same reason why 7 can be so damn slow to check for updates, even after Microsoft released patches trying to fix the issue. 10/11 just sidesteps the problem by having a major release every 6 months which resets the number of updates it has to evaluate back to zero again. Haven't seen that issue with it showing zero results before, no clue why that happened.

Eh, that's not something Legacy Update can provide. It only offers the website / downloads of original Windows updates; not new software. To get newer features and security updates, you'll need to use a newer OS such as Windows 10 or 11.
I was restoring a machine to Windows 7 and every time I tried to check for updates it would fail every single time with the same error, until I installed the Convenience Rollup. I really wish I would have heard about Legacy Update when I was doing that as it specifically fixes that particular error and would have saved me massive headaches. That machine is also running Windows XP and I couldn't install a single update since I installed the system, Legacy Update seems to be exactly what I need to get the job done.

Sorry to rain down on their parade but this is nothing short of... well.. bollocks! In order to run the "Legacy Update" i have to do this at what... seriously now? As in I have to "unblock" the legacy update? Couldn't you "unblock" it yourselves? As much as I do appreciate the effort made, WSUS Offline (ver. 9.2.1) is way easier and 0-prerequisite option. And it just works... no "fancy" interface or anything... it just works as it is supposed to do. Then again, there are several unofficial-post-SP3 updates floating around... take your pick.... just saying.
