flak 88 is one of the most beautiful masterpieces of weapons made by the germans during ww2, 88 was literally anti everything
When you chilling in a bomber with no enemy fighters in sight but a giant shell tears through your plane and cuts it in half
Ye exept as AA gun, it was too slow firing, its the truth
(when it would be not true, i wouldnt say it Cuz im German 🇩🇪)
Yeah one of the only things topping it is the ME 262

Casual gaming is underrated
Idea: One custom unit with x10 or +10 everything (range, splash radius, knockback, etc.) and put it against an army, see how many it can take.

The 88 was designed to be an anti aircraft gun (AA) and was found to be much more effective as an anti tank weapon during the battle of France in June 1940. The allies had many guns matching the 88 in terms of calibre but what made the 88 so lethal was its velocity through its long barrel. The shell left the gun barrel at over 1000 m per second and cut through the front armour of most of the British, American and Russian tanks (including the T 34) like a hot knife through the butter. It wasn't until autumn 1944 after the D Day landing, the US started to install the 76L long barrel guns on their tanks and tank destroyers which is more capable of penetrating the front armour of the German tiger and panzer tanks. Even then there weren't enough tanks with the 76L to go round so they used form tank group with 4 to 5 tanks as one unit, including at least one with a 76L while the others had the old 75. The 88 was so effective as a tank destroyer, the German mounted them on their tiger tanks and they can destroy an allied and Russian tanks before they could come into their firing range! That is reflected in your video game here!

i have a list of ideas for the ww1 stick man game your making.
1. have a chance for a troop to instead of shooting to throw a grenade witch will also damage more troops in a area than a bullet would
2. instead of having the tanks disappear have then stay and have the troops have the tanks as cover witch would make it more likely that they wont die as fast as the troops that are in the open
3. instead of having the gas just appear in your trench, have it start at the enemy trench and have them release it until it reaches you.
4. make flamethrower units immune to gas attacks because they have mask on at the start

Btw the 88 mm also 8,8 cm Flak gun is an universal gun. It was uses as a flak gun, on the Tiger I and Tiger II, as a Artillery gun and as a bord gun of Heavy Bombers

The 88 Armor piercing round can penetrate the armor of a Sherman but not the Sherman Jumbo heavy tank.
