Just saw your video, interesting perspective but honest enough. The Philippines is home to those hearts who realize its true worth and immersed into the culture. It is okay, these young foreign men are still exploring their life, they are free to live anywhere they want later on. As to the word he was referring to and got stuck in 'attack' as its meaning....perhaps the better contextual translation would be 'fight' or 'strive' ..pretty much, for many Filipinos, life is a hard struggle, so we 'fight' or 'strive' to better ourselves, and in the process we attack or face the problem head on to the best we can. I hope these young men have learned to count their blessings, for they sure are more priveleged than most of their age.
@@totoybancaso2599 it’s right. They are just kids and they’re still trying to find out where they belong. As long as they didn’t say any bad things that will mark a bad impression of the country then that’s not good.

Lol. I did not realize when I translated a popular Filipino mental “sugod lang ng sugod.” .. it could literally mean “attack” in English and makes it sound aggressive but when spoken in our language and translated mindfully, the intentional translation is “have confidence”. Hilarious. Thanks for sharing.
I have friends who are Colombians, they say there is nothing much different between Colombia and the Philippines, it was just conquered by Spain, the same weather food in Colombia is also found in the Philippines, he left Colombia 12 years old, he is too young
@christopherm.cianfrocco5685 the Philippines was a Spanish- speaking country in the old days likely from the 16th to 18th century. Then the Americans, Japanese and even the British (for two years). The Americans defeated the Spaniards in war to claim the Philippines and from then on the country started Americanizing and later abolished the Spanish language.
@miguelbalisi9952 I think I know MY OWN country's history. It's just that we are talking about the "NOW". We can see that there are more white people in Colombia than in PHILIPPINES. In fact Colombia is one of the whitest country in the Americas
So basically these guys really aren’t interested in learning the culture or main language of the Philippines. They’re very fortunate that English is widely spoken there

Maybe they don’t have Filipino close friends that showed them the best Filipino food because YT always hype up balut when even as a Filipino it’s really disgusting and pitiful to have that embryo eaten
That "sugod ng sugod" or attack is a popular trait in PH. It means have confidence in facing anything...... for these young boys, it means, facing girls and their teenage life. Interesting perpsective from them.
I don’t think so they all go to international schools maybe the ist boy but maybe he forgot since it was his 1st 2 yrs. All of them tryna wannabe western so bad bc you live here and study in international school why not go to australia canda or usa if you don’t want to interact local
Studying in an exclusive international school for foreign students doesn’t really expose them or able to assimilate to the Filipino culture or way of life since they are sheltered in the confines of an International way of life in an international school in their own foreign country and not really much expose to eating Filipino food since they’re eating food of their respective country. They are still young and not particular about the food they want to eat perhaps just pasta, burgers, barbecue, fried chicken etc or American breakfast etc. and that guy in red, eating balut is not real Filipino cuisine or food but it’s just a delicacy or street food. Since they came with their parents they cook their food at home from their respective country. But if these young boys are not studying in an International school it would be very different since if they study in big universities in the Philippines I’m sure they will know and learn Filipino culture, food and way of life assimilate and interact with Filipino students or locals and English anyway is the medium of instruction in the Philippines. They still have a way long to go to experience life outside of their home countries.
