    Pro-tip: Do not attempt to test fit the push fit models. They have a lot of delicate features and it takes a lot of force to pull them apart. Instead, I would suggest sanding/filing the peg very carefully to remove any excess plastic. This also has the benefit of shortening the peg, so you get the guidance of the peg on top of plastic cement.

    • @pcuimac
      @pcuimac Před 3 lety +1

      No! Don't use any glue on the peg or the corresponding hole! These things are a masterpiece of engineering and are designed to be used without any fluid! The fluid will be unable to leave the cavity and hamper movement like a spring! The parts will never fit that way.

    • @LordTechnopants
      @LordTechnopants Před 3 lety

      Yes, if you want to glue GW push-fit minis, you are well advised to open up the holes and shave the pegs FIRST. Then you can dry-fit and the hole will have room for the glue.

    As an 1995 Warhammer Quest player I really enjoy this version compared to Hammerhall and Silvertowerand I think the game is worth the price. Its also more streamlined than Blackstone Fortress. The Crisis mechanic is fun too. Only thing its missing is a Bar where sketchy Kislevites teach you how to cover yourself in pig fat!!

      I have to disagree. Their models are very good. Cursed city looks great. Yet the Price is ridiculously high. So on kickstarter at the moment you can back Lasting Tales for 75 dollars 🇺🇸. 201 miniatures currently. That includes centaurs, manticores, goblins, orcs, dwarves, vampires scorpions,snakes and a giant hydra. I am done with Warhammer fomo. Thats roughly 3 dollars extra per model. Warhammer 3.33 dollars, Lasting tales 0.37 cents per model. Probably delivered at the same time.

      For someone only buying these things for the minis, Lasting Tales is $.50 per mini vs. Cursed City's $2.83 per mini.
      Lasting Tales minis are cheap for a few reasons...
      1. You're only buying the minis at $75. There's no game there.
      2. Blacklist Games mini quality is on the lower end for board games. If you enjoy their games then they're adequate, but you're not getting a game here. Really, for cheap minis, you get better quality for not much additional with Reaper Miniatures.
      3. They're upselling you on a rulebook $34 more, terrain $130 more for what they're advertising on their campaign page, dice $10 more, etc. Once you buy enough content to play the game, you've paid more than the cost of Cursed City.
      If you're interested in having a game to play with the minis, then Cursed City is actually the better deal. Yes, it's less overall content in terms of minis, but it's an actual game for $170 (OLGS prices). Personally, I'd rather have the dice, tiles, cards, and everything else beyond the minis packaged into a single box than have to buy my game piecemeal via Lasting Tales.
      Additionally, how is May 2022 and April 2021 "delivered at the same time."

      @@VaultBoy13 Well I see your points. Do not agree. Still begs the question how a small operation can keep costs low as opposed to a multinational operation. Injection molded figures made in China, not the UK. Yes the plastic might be different, but not so much to cost that much higher. Yes, the universe is more polished, but its not enough. As to the playability of Cursed city, apparently deeply flawed from early reports. The monsters are all melee, bar one. So much so that they can be picked off and predictable in regeneration. Not a good start. Definitely not like Black fortress.
      As to the figures, Frostgrave, Rangers of shadow deep and numerous other gaming systems can use these. I would not need the terrain. The game itself is Designed by acclaimed game designer Mark Latham (The Walking Dead: All Out War, The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms). A proven game designer. So no need to downplay it.
      I am a big nighthaunt fan and I like age of Sigmar, but I am not blind to poor value. This Cursed city is not good value. Warhammer is going the 🍎 route with fans. Locked in on one system. If you cannot see the value, fine. Enjoy the game Cursed City, it is not for me.

    • @WanderingCelts
      @WanderingCelts Před 3 lety +1

      @@redscope897 I own a nighthaunt army. I have Necrons. Yes,I follow a theme. The quality is superb. But not 3 dollars extra. Not a hope. That is marketing fan boy spiel. They are mass produced in China. They should be cheaper not rising in cost. As to the aesthetics of the models it is subjective. A mini will get you there the same way as a rolls royce on four tires. 🤣

    • @WanderingCelts
      @WanderingCelts Před 3 lety +1

      @@redscope897 Nope. They are 100% push fit. Not multi part kit posable. So you have locked in syndrome on the miniatures. Still made in China. So you save time and have less clean up on lasting tales miniatures. The figures are not cheap lumps of plastic. The quality is quite good, you need to have another look. This is meant to be a boardgame, not tabletop. To be honest they are similar to Frostgrave figures which are quite good. Cursed city is poor value even if you compare it to frosthaven, with poor system play as well. Book might be good though. As to production in UK that will drive up cost and drive away customers. Not a good decision due to brexit. By the way do you work for Warhammer?

    I consider this click bait ! The problem with all these reviewers is no one wants to commit to an opinion and possibly hurt GWs feelings. I don’t mind someone not giving an opinion on value but in closing when you say ... “ is it worth the extra $ 50 ... hard to say ... if it’s worth it to you then it’s a good value “ ... is such a cop-out ... You have plastered all over the intro -- “I let you know if this is worth the value “ -- and “it’s pass or fail time for cursed city “ ... then don’t give your opinion ... it’s click bait period !
