As sad as it makes me to hear about your burnout and the overall state of the franchise, it's definitely understandable. This has been my favourite Battlefield channel of all time and overall a huge inspiration of mine. If this had been some random title people would be raving about it: 'BF killer'. I thought this might've been your bag, since all you do is farm people in helicopters (stop farming me and fight like a man!). It's basically BF4.5, but actually works...
@@onylra6265 not, it's significantly worse in every way to those games. Map design, gunplay, visuals, movement missing features (lots of them), this game is garbage and noting like bf.

Sadly this is the expected state of game releases in this day and age. Push it out at 80% and patch the rest. Cyberpunk is a great example, crap at release to first rate title albeit a year of patches were required to make it so.
@@theyetirulrs I think if 2043 had released at 80%, it wouldn't be as bad. In it's current state, it's maybe 60% of what it could be, and I'm being generous.

Most of these clips are just overpowered vehicles farming mass infantry kills. Which kinda shows how bad the maps are in this game.
Or players useing blatantly broken/OP guns like the PP-29 and farming "afk bots" aka clueless gamers why just stands there. =) There is so much balancing needed in this game, geez.

Dude i share your opinion on the game 100% There isnt a lot to enjoy at the moment and not being able to switch teams or squats is the most annoying thing out there. And with maps being that big you run 5min to get to a flag and then you get killed by a camping dude with a shotgun. just to spawn 200m away from the objective again.
No server browser, no keeping teams after rounds, no squad switching, no all chat, no real scoreboard and on top the bad balance, performance and horrific UI... Wtf

Sundance can use her wingsuit from 7+ feet up. You can jump off of a ground level shipping container and fly for 200 yards. Git gud.

If you feel burntout, take a brake. You can't force yourself to do something. It just won't end up great. Keep ur head up, focus on yourself and come back when you feel better. I love your videos when I get the chance to see them so I'll be waiting when you comeback!

Always enjoy your videos pal, you can tell the passion you have for the game. A while ago I commented on one of your vids, saying I'd only played an hour of the 2042 Beta and was going back to bf4, to which someone commented LMFAO, meaning I didn't play it enough.. So I thought ok, I'll give it a proper chance & I'm now into 30 hours of playing the game and while there have been some enjoyable moments, there don't compete withe the overall deflated feeling I have when playing it. I can't even join a bloody squad fffs and while some of the maps have some great parts in, they are just too too big. Been back at bf4 for the last year, I think I'll be going back soon.
It's just so strange. All they had to do was complie the best bits from the franchise, and scale it to 128 players. I was expecting rocky netcode and server problems, there always is, but the game just doesn't feel finished.
Frankly, if the scaling is the issue behind most of this... I wouldve ABSOLUTELY rathered just having 64 player modes with good map design. It makes me so sad. I just wanted an updated battlefield 4 😞
I was a chump who bought into the hype and preordered... needless to say it was refunded quickly. I'll rebuy when it goes on sale or on g2a later, and won't even feel bad about it.

It's really just a mentality of focusing on the good over the bad. I believe the game will someday be fixed; so, I overlook the annoyances now and enjoy it for what it is. It's bigger battlefield, and that's all I wanted

@@Gibby34340 a lot of things. The map design, sniping, graphical fidelity, movement, specialist gadgets, the scale, the tornado (still exciting every time I see it), portal, and so on.
There's a lot to like if you allow yourself to not be cynical for a moment
@@papamaples617 Map design is terrible, it's just a lot of open space with scattered bunches of buildings f to look more populated, and way too big even for 128-player games. You often spend several minutes just running around before finding an actual fight.
Sniping is hardly worth mentioning anyway, but you can't even fucking ZERO YOUR SCOPES.
Movement is clunky as hell, the characters in BF3 felt more fluid and natural. Not to mention the sliding was even worse, to the point they just dropped it entirely.
"Specialist gadgets", which the vast majority of the community cant stand, never wanted, and still don't want. The wingsuit in particular is way too OP for being locked to one "specialist".
The tornado is just like BF4's levollution: cool the first few times, but gets old and very annoying after that. Hey, at least it doesn't completely ruin the map so they got SOMETHING right.
Graphics are ok, but optimization is beyond horrid. I got a 3090 and can barely keep above 60 frames whenever there's a big battle going and my game stutters constantly. Planetside 2 handled large-scale battles far better than this...
Portal is EA's way of saying "we couldn't make a good BF game, so make your own." I guaranatee you at least 9/10 of the players, in 3 months, will be on Portal and the "core game" will be completely neglected by both them AND EA. It's an amazing concept, it makes you wonder why they only put 10% as much effort into Portal as the rest of the game...

I think this game has potential.
I don't think it's comparable. Yes, BF4 had a bunch of issues, but it overall felt like an updated version of BF3. 2042 has been fundamentally changed and doesn't have the same feeling whatsoever. I knew something was drastically wrong with the game when the first match I hopped in a tank and tried driving through a small concrete pillar outside of uncap and I stopped dead. I thought, "This isn't Battlefield." Over the next 20 hours of gameplay I kept thinking that, then I gave up. Bf4 indefinitely for me I guess.
Jheez. I remember back when this game was still callled “battlefield 6” and had the highest hopes that this would finally be the game that would make me stop playing bf4. This, in my mind, was supposed to be the greatest battlefield ever. But HOLY CRAP they fumbled the bag on this one.
Yup, this might just be a worse fail than BFV. That's actually quite an accomplishment...

I don’t know. They made the maps HUGE, and yet it still feels bland. I feel like they need to make the maps (and certain regions of them) feel more immersive.. just not sure how they would do that

Okay Idk if its a conquest thing which I haven’t played much, but I have to not noticed maps being too big an issue in breakthrough. It has been intense 99% time for me. Just know where to spawn, spawn on your squad and you should not have this problem. I have been thoroughly enjoying every bit of it(bugs and some other issues aside)
That's why I still go HAM on Battlefield 4 because it's fun. There is a skill gap.
None of the kills feel very rewarding given the ease of play and the presence of a skill ceiling.

And I do share your thoughts with this game as well. Compared to BF4, it's really a step (if not a few) back in its current state. Hopefully they're gonna turn it into a thoroughly fun game with future updates!
Even after the big patches, BF2042 still just feels like an early-alpha-phase demo of a chinese ripoff of BF. Throw in a ton of blatant COD influence, the inexcusable lack of basic game modes, guns, vehicles, overall weapon/vehicle balance, etc. I'm waiting for them to announce a new version of BF4's Premium, where you have to pay extra for basic things like classic game modes, more guns, the ability to progress past a certain level, and pay2win "cosmetics" that actually buff weapons. This game makes COD BO4 look like a masterpiece...
