I swear, if Namjoon wrote a book I would hang on his every word. How he can be this well spoken in a language that is not his own is mind boggling. 🤯 Maybe he has his faults (his words), but he is always inspirational and supportive. Love him so much. 🥰
I hope that a poetry book is on his agenda after he retires. I know his songwriting already reflects a lot of it, but just straight up poetry would be a lovely thing to read.

When I first started going down the BTS rabbit hole, I thought it odd when people say that RM is a great leader because I had no idea that K-Pop groups have leaders. I even thought it was presumptuous of BTS to write the Butter lyrics "got ARMY right behind us when we say so." But now after getting to know the boys and getting to see what an incredible person, artist and leader RM is, all I can say is: NAMJOON FOR PRESIDENT!!! 💜💜💜 Where do I sign up for Republic of BTS??? Hahaha!💜💜💜

Yes. The Best Speech ever. Now you know why we love and admire him! "Wow". Yes. It was a WoW speech. Eloquent. Poetic. Heartfelt. Inspiring. And so honest. Here's what most speakers need to learn from RM. Make it personal. Easy to understand and relatable. Challenge and inspire the audience by asking them questions to capture their attention. Keep it simple. And keep it short. And just talk. No theatrics! RM gets an A+ from me. I didn't tell you this before. Not only did I get my degree in Theatre, but also Communication and English. His speech still inspires me today listening to it again with you. I'm so glad you got to experience his timeless message!

The UN had announced that they were going to do a live feed of RM's speech and told us where to find it. The older man that came up to RM/BTS after the speech was Mr Kim. a Korean/American who was the President of the World Bank which the UN runs. I think he was as excited as BTS that they were doing the speech.
He looked super hyped. As soon as the speech was over, that man phase shifted from his seat to the boys haha! AH.... What a beautiful speech and moment in time 💜😭💜🤗💜😍

i am 27 years old! but i was squealing like a little girl when this happened in 2018 !! i was so proud to be apart of this amazing growth ^^

This speech was huge in terms of the boys gaining more ARMY. I had just gotten into the group during the summer of 2018 and I call August my official ARMY month since it's when I stopped the self-denial to admit how much I enjoyed them and their music. I remember reading SO many comments from locals on TWT and YT (locals are people who are basically clueless about BTS) who saw this speech and were moved enough to look deeper into RM and thus the group. They've been to the UN 3 times now and it's still amazing to see how these young men are able to capture fans around the world thanks to the honesty and sincerity within their music and as artists.
Namjoon is the heart of bts. The central pillar. The members are all like a well connected web around him. The reason why bts is so great will always be the members of bts and their passion toward what they do.
We also mustn’t forget he gave this speech in a second language so full of admiration for our dedicated leader 💜

You made me realize just how much background noise they have to put up with when they're traveling, doing showcases and touring (so pretty much all the time until recently). It's probably some of the reason why they're tired so much.

RM has so much responsibility as the leader of BTS. I don't know how he does it. He's an amazing human being.

Kim Namjoon is such an amazing leader. Its always so nice to see how the other members look up to and admire him. JK is so cute - he obviously is in awe of RM. This was probably one of the best moments that I got to witness as Army. 💜 Jungkook was the biggest fanboy, he kept praising RM on his live stream too, haha. He said that his RM-hyung looked really impressive, like a giant. 😄 & he was absolutely right! I've never felt anything but pride and a sense of relief whenever I see RM; he just has this really calming, elegant aura around him. Our President!! 🐨💜

I love the way that as the lady starts thanking them at the end, they leave the stage - not wanting to stay in the spotlight one second longer than they had to... The way the other members, especially Jin were looking at Namjoon as he spoke was such a look of pride... This speech made everyone emotional - he was so very brave to do this, another reason why he's the Leader and deserves to be so. Thanks MG for acknowledging RMs special day💜
I am slightly addicted to that speech. I love coming back to it and even hearing it like hundred time today I still tear up a little, still had goosebumps when RM said "speak yourself". I am maybe not the actual target here, I'm not so young anymore, but still his words mean so much to me. If I only could, I would come back to this young girl, scared of future, that I once was, and let here listen to this. The message of letting you love yourself with all your flaws, message of need to understand that mistakes are just this, mistakes, not your personal failure, message of urge to just be yourself and show this to the word... It's just so perfect, so needed in today's judgmental world where we live like in some strange reality show, but it would be also so, so important to this girl that once thought that she's never enough. It took me many years to love myself little by little like RM said. So, I can't even start describing how inspiring is this man for me. What he does here is just legendary and I am so terribly proud of being his fan, their Army :) And delivering it in foreign language, wow! English is my second language too and I think I would break my tongue to do such an important speech so fluently. I know he was nervous but, man, that was something, he can be proud of himself!
I also have something to say to you, MasterGo, my fellow Army ... I am so happy you reacted to this speech and I want to tell you that I really love all your reactions to BTS work because I see genuine admiration to it and it's so, so beautiful watching you discovering their talent and amazing work. As I am baby Army myself, I must say it's so amazing how much joy it gives you and how you love them for all the right reasons. I really rarely subscribe reaction channels but I just feel this connection with you as a fellow fan. So thank you, for speaking so nice and gentle about them, for loving them not for their success or popularity, but for their talent and message they share and mostly for the change their bring to your life. I agree with what you've said, and I take his struggle as comfort during those times when I'm not farther along on the journey to love myself.I take it as proof that it's not a quick-fix "positive thinking fixes everything" kind of thing. I take it as reassurance that it's something to work on, day by day, improving bit by bit. "I am a little stronger/better today than yesterday, and I can work on being better for tomorrow." Seriously, even sharing their struggles with us southes my heart.

I'm a competitive dancer and I enjoy it and I have many trophies, but I'm the youngest in the team, I often felt that I wasn't as good as I should be or I have had a lot of pressure because I'm also the lead dancer, and I have herd some nasty things said about me, it hurt, but not anymore. About 6 years ago I became a member of army, I am strong and I have learned to love myself and be proud of myself, to be happy. I will support BTS forever, they are such beautiful and humble people

I was inactive on socmed the past weeks and was unable to watch your vids and this is what welcomed me. The very reason how I got into the rabbit hole. I dunno, the message just really hit me differently, even until now when I almost memorised the speech. :)
RM is the epitome of a great leader. A leader I aspire to be.. He has the wisdom, the confidence and the heart of a true leader anyone could ever ask for. There's a reason why he is JK's role model and Yoongi always says, "There's not much benefit being a leader but you have so much responsibility.." And I love Yoongi for always reminding RM that he's the best leader out there.
Anyways, Happiest birthday to the best leader of BTS and ARMY! We love you, Namjoona! :)
