It does make sense that the Albrecht Entrati we see in Whispers in the Walls (Doctor Entrati) is from another timeline found by a Vessel. Loid is dressed much more traditionally when it comes to Orokin-era wear, and when Dr. Entrati enters the pod, Loid sheds a single tear. I feel this shows that this isn't the first time he's lost his Master, but he doesn't let more than one tear fall down his cheek. For him, he has already grieved enough.
Yeah I don't necessarily think they were lovers without some more context. I'd say almost like a father-son bond since they would have been working closely together as a master and apprentice/assistant.
Saying they’re lovers is like someone seeing me and my sis out shopping and the shop keep assumes we are a couple, Loid x Albrecht seems like a forced and idealistic concept made by wishful thinking.
I don't think the vessels are directly connected to WF1999 and the transition was ONLY made so that they can smoothly switch to the WF1999 teaser Considering in the Empyrean Tennocon Demo they did the same thing (RJ pilot transitions into Duviri teaser), and as we know Duviri has nothing to do with Railjack
We'll also probably be able to control vessels long before WF1999 releases
I can definitely get that take on things. Only reason I think otherwise is because we see that the vessel was connected to the transference pod Albrecht got into, and Albrecht was dressed for 1999. It would be really odd to me if they weren't linked. I think what's more likely is Whisper's in the Wall will come out as Part 1 with a Zariman style quest, and at the end Loid will probably tell us something along the lines of "The Vessels aren't operable yet, check back in the next update" rather than be 2 separate things.
@@StallordD if the rest of the quest is actually just gamemode demos that would be so lame.
No. There is no connection through lore. No. But it's a hint of future content. Looking at duviri mechanics in how to defeat the orowyrm, and 1999, there's something in that. Imagine no longer needing a rail jack but Potentially losing the liset...
I actually think the "clock" is a lock instead. The way it slots in as if it's a safelock/key. And it seems to contain a core that activates the labs.
I feel that an often overlooked aspect when discussing Albrecht and his other are the fingers. It is strongly implied that the Vitruvian Wall we see at the end of the New War is Albrecht's other, considering the fact that it's missing a gigantic finger akin to the one in the railjack, when the Tenno's doppelgangner isn't missing one which makes sense in the canon. The Albrecht we see in the beginning of the Whispers trailer cannot be the other, or at least it wouldn't make sense for him to be storywise. Even when taking into account the Void's unknown powers and the fact that it would surely have the ability to regenerate a missing finger, from a storytelling standpoint it doesn't make sense, not giving Albrecht's other the one defining trait that he has when they clearly referenced it in the Vitruvian Wall. The Albrecht we see in 1999 however is most likely the other, or at least some fusion of the two
What if the vessel is the same as the animus in assassins creed. But replicating the power of the void to explore conceptual dimensions and timelines. Made to fight the man in the wall “on equal grounds”
Sometimes I feel like a Purple Pikmin.
@@wolfey1579aint no way my man is talking shit with furry profile picture
So as a thought, if the statues are isolated realities, could that maybe mean the real Albrecht is controlling the one that we're in through the man in the wall, like the statues are just replicas of the original one in the void.
Oooh, very interesting idea. If the vessels came first, that would be a neat twist. I personally think it was the other way around, but that would be an interesting development.
A lot of very cool things to speculate on with these updates. Keep um comin' when you feel inspired!
This trailer made me realize I never actually stopped to think about exactly which rough period the Umbra memories look back on.
If you feel like it and haven't done one too recently, an overal timeline video could be very cool. Though that may obviously not be so simple with the parallel realities we're not too certain about... Iirc Reb mentioned we didn't have to worry about everything to do with the man in the wall getting demystified, which I'm glad to hear, but it does make me wonder exactly how much we'll learn and in what form it'll come. My ideal case is we just get a lot more material to work with for meaninful and compelling theories, hardly any answers, almost none concrete.
Very excited for more lore content in WF, though I really hope we got some answers not just new questions, at times the WF lore can feel a bit... Lost:ish just piling on questions without connecting the dots/threads.
What if 1999 works like Duviri? I find it sus that Aoi said to find Dr Entrati, but he walked over and told Arthur that he was late. We know that he was researching within Duviri and intended to make use of it, so this could be the product of that research where he constantly loops the year 1999 to develop something else that involves Arthur and Aoi...? Then mechanics wise, it would be similar to Duviri and it's probably easier for DE to develop too
Would make a lot of sense! I think that's probably pretty close to what it will be. Maybe not mechanically, but at least narratively.
Yeah it would make sense lore wise too that it’s more of that conceptual embodiment or whatever they called it
Man the Orokin sure were THE scientists.
Time travel and the multiverse, story cohesion just went out.
If this is not just my fantasy then this could be one of the coolest gaming experiences in the industry. If you look closely, in a 1999 there are a lot of references to DE games (the oldest DS poster, the names of their first games on the scoreboard in a hall, etc.). It is quite possible that all this is a metaverse, an allegorical narrative of the origin of the WF. Then absolutely everything will fall into place, and it will not just be a game with a mysterious plot, a bunch of dots and disparate styles, but a creative statement, a masterpiece created by a company of artists, nurturing their offspring. This is the breaking of the fourth wall and the expansion of the perception of games as a separate unit of art.
If so…
If not, then this is also interesting, but it could be more interesting.
i turned that scene up really loud and when it says whisper for subtitles you can hear him saying something i couldnt figure out and eventually what sounds like i love you
I'd rather it be that the statue doesn't contain an alternate reality, but more of a memory. Like the animus from Assassin's Creed. That way you can have 1999 be a true prequel to the events of the main Warframe timeline.
I think what we’re seeing in 1999 is very similar in concept as Duviri; a conceptual embodiment of Albrecht’s research on the 20th century expanded into a world or story with Arthur as its main character/hero
I think it's a flashback. The excal and Loyd bits come out months apart so I think that was just editing for the trailer.
Of course, without any deeper knowladge and any more information, we can all just guess what is going on/will going on. But I think that moment when Tenno enters the huge vessel, is NOT when he is "transported" into Artur. I think it is just a clever way from DE to do the transition from one update to another.
So, we basically do not know what happens when tenno enters huge vessel. At least that is what I think.
But... awesome vid, and a lot of great ideas... which I hope DE will take into consideration, if not now, then maybe in some future update
If they ever actually explain what the cosmic clock was and what it's destruction meant I'm going to be really surprised.
Also I highly doubt Warframe 1999 will actually have anything to do with vessels. I think this is more of a cool transition they made for showcase. Like when they were showing off orb vallis going into railjack going into duviri.
This is a great compiling of possible ideas in a simple concise explanation. I think these all have great potential. I do have some strong feeling that no Albrecht we see in these trailers is the original, rather to say I think there’s a good chance that the first is a real version of Albrecht but the latter is the other. I think that hearing the possibility of 1999 being a translation rather than some method of time travel is much more preferable to my tiny brain too😅
very interesting speculation! I especially like your take on the vessels and what their purpose might be
I will add that my best friend has done some speculating on the significance of the Y2K aspect of Warframe 1999. He thinks that the old monitors and how they were going to rewrite info after the new year (prior to their fixing that is) sort of.... allowed an opening for the Void due to how time functions in the Warframe universe. The monitors and time itself end up being kinda similar in that aspect, overwriting info imperfectly.
Though perhaps that's why they're being used with the Vessels? They're an easy gateway for luring Wally in.
As a side note, I do wonder what Wally's motivation is. Perhaps speculating on the motives of a cosmic entity are pointless, but I do have a theory that Orokin and their technology have been wounding him and acting like an infestation of parasites, and he's just reacting as any entity would. With hostility.
Im so glad i refound your channel. I finally went through and finished the duviri quest and it has really reignited my interest in the games story and world. I will be here from this point on💜
Glad to see you back into action buddy!
I don’t always have time for war frame and it’s lore but I love the game so much so I cannot thank you enough for these videos!
This mention of creating, securing, and researching alternate timelines in form of humanoid vessels may potentially be an attempt to mimic the void, the man in the wall, and how it operates. Additionally, it can serve as a perfect (relatively safe) research facility for Albert Entrati to experiment on scaled down universes (scale of a vessel), that can be scaled up into the grander universe of warframe and apply the concepts. In simple language, to fix the grand problem of warframe's universe - scale it down to a vessel, making it simpler, solve a similar small problem, and reapply the concepts to the original universe... However, this hypothesis of mine poses a dark existential question... Is there a chance, that the universe of warframe is one of these universes designed to be experimented upon by the Man in the Wall? Did the universe of warframe become self-aware and went rogue against the Man in the Wall?
Edit: though that version is interesting, it poses too much problems for the timeline and comprehension of it. I would stick with the simpler version, where the vessels are designed to keep the Man in the Wall at bay... The proper word is contained.
Hey starlordD, I'll just say thank you for your time and effort you put on making this lore videos, I saw many videos about the deep lore of Warframe, but only you can manage to really understand it, you touch points that seem out of context at first, but you manage to view them from a different perspective, even though I'm pretty sure DE themselves make some lore holes and mistakes, you are able to gather all and make it have sense. There's no doubt that you really study every information given by the game, and I'm pretty sure this is very time consuming, what makes it seem that after a video release there is no reward for your work, just now this exactly video has over 16 thousand views, but less than 200 comments. That's why I'm here to say, whatever reason you make these lore videos, if it's for fun or you yourself just love the lore and want to share what you discover, that all the work you put on them is worth it, just recently I decided to become a subscriber, even if you take your time to put out a new video, I believe is a form to demonstrate your work is very good, I've found myself rewatching your videos again and again just to cook new theories of what the game is planning next. In fewer words, as long as you have fun, please continue making the Warframe lore videos, as I said, you manage to have a deep understanding of it, and alone you see points no other CZcamsr even mentions, there's a bunch of different and interesting information that's worth making more videos, like new lore of the factions, the warframes leverians, or even remake some of your old lore videos, as worth watching they are, Warframe have a little problem of new updates remake some lore points of the game, like parvus granum, out of nowhere comes a lore about a founder of the corpus, but as I said, your older videos are not bad in any way, I just believe it would be nice to update them with new information we got. Again thank you for your hard work and the high quality you have. I would love to see more content made by you.
Played the quest last night. Was so good, can't wait for the follow-up to this!
There's something about wave function collapse concept and the voidtongue manifestation when there's no eyes on us (I mean eyes from this void entity we don't know much about, like TNW ending, Dr. Entrati covering his eyes on the trailer, maybe more).
There's a void tongue manifestation that doesn't directly follow what I said at 5:16, on the stream Rebecca says "what is he looking at?" and point at that direction, I find it suspicious because it still on observational context.
Maybe youre reading too much into it, the "what is he looking at" was hint theres a suprise coming
@@635574 idk, he's looking at a symbol we'd never seen before, and reading it even further, those semi-circles in it resembles an eye.
I may be overthinking too, gotta take that.
@@635574 re-watching the gameplay demo there's more times where it manifests, you're right, I was reading too much into it. I still think wave function collapse is related to us tho.
To further make the connection that Aoi is Mag in that timeline, "Aoi" is a Japanese name that's usually translated as "blue", which fits Mag as her default colour is blue.
Two videos in one year, must be a new record.
Very well constructed video.
I think that, in the immortal words of bender the robot:
"We're boned"
Oh we are the operator for Arthur! Nice call. We can finally have a conversation with this new Umbra.
You know it’s gonna be a good update when stallord makes a video about it
I'm quite excited at what's coming.
I love the content, and especially the possibility of every frame having an Arthur like counterpart. Chroma would be so cool.
Maybe this Dr. Entrati is the same that was in Duviri for a while, and the Vessels are some way to create artificial pocket realities alike Duviri.
i think the the smile at the end is hype foder and wont stay, like thraxs void line at the end of the durvivi demo "maybe il go there myself" but in the quest itself thrax isnt his own person and is very much anti the dark reality of the otherside.
i also think the transition between whipsers and 1999 was completely that just a transition and not how the content will be connected. if 1999 is connected the the whispers content i think it will be by the grimoire as loid says the grimoire is reading you.
which could mean we are observing history as it was in relation to the DNA used to replicate Excalibur warframe itself, similarly to umbras memories, but rather then being a forced loop we are just accessing information itself.
now you might say that seems off as how would albreacht be in the passed as is presenting, well warframe is eternalism which works with BLOCKTIME and not world lines. as this system allows grand father paradox to be impossible. which is why duviri being a paradox as described by teshin is logical but has no effect.
we know from duviri itself and yonte that albreachts end was non permanent, with either his natural chosen death leading to him arriving in duviri and creating a lab to return to the overworld, after most probably leads into his sudden increased research into the vessels and transference leading him to his next death well inside the pod which most probably leads to him going "everywhere" as yontes dream states, i assume this is really him.
also info dump on something people still dont seem to have picked up on, albreachts requiem entry order is different to the order he reads the requiem mod descriptions in as a poem in the lohk entry, if you translate the orokin in each of the entry (ris does not contain any orokin) and then reorder the content based on the order albreacht reads them in lohk you get
"Lohk Lohk, Zhaeta, Jahoo, Homm, (blank), Pass, Vplt 1 Mdl L Vplt 2, Kra."
at first when i was translating it i assume Homm and Pass where errors by DE and that they were meant to say Fass and Vomm. but once i had all of them in the order i released that Khra is missing its silent H but does contain a long dash symbol which is barely seen in any orokin text in the game and denotes a period or end of a sentence. when i replace the void tongue with the meaning albreachts gave to them you get a message that states as follows
"VOID VOID Truth Form Home, Pass Vplt 1 Mdl L Vplt 2 Time."
take from that what you will
Duviri was very obviously a victim of a LOT of re-writes and restructures before release. You could absolutely be right with the smile being hype fodder, but I at least hope if it does go away it's not due to another series of changes behind the scenes.
@StallordD It's almost inevitable in the case of 1999 as that concept was written in a restaurant and is two years away. Contrast this with the reveal of The New War and Duviri, practically nothing is the same as in those teasers.
Would you do a updated 2023 lore video of the entire lore of Warframe?
Now that lotus storyline is over and we are entering a new arc I think he should
@@zer0rama572ill pay for his Patreon if he wants me to i just want to see it
The Warframe universe quite possibly one of the most extensive rich in history, and difficult universe is to explain with accuracy
1:13 I'm not so sure if they're lovers, it's more likely that they're mentor and pupil turned genius and assistant.
A good mentor is like a family member to a pupil.
And if Warframe wants to keep itself on the Chinese steam then it has to be like that.
Yeah, it seems like they forced the characters to be infatuated with each other-
what i find interesting is that the 1999 timeline isnt just changed to have a translated text (orokin), but also that many things within the trainstation dont QUITE fit into the year 1999
the automatic doors that you see at 8:43 for example are glass doors with a round, smooth metal frame, now i could be wrong but that isnt exactly "human architecture during y2k", since that "frame things within metal" is more of a tenno/orokin design principle. the same thign applies to arthurs rifle by the way. a normal rifle of that sort isnt designed in such a stylistic kind. the rifle features silver accents over its normal looking casing, which reminds me of the way warframe weapons are usually designed (baza, braton, tenora, most incarnon weapons that you buy from the zariman)
of course, there is also the guy wearing excaliburs skin, which un turn has normal human machinery bolted into various parts of the body/armor
this doesnt feel like a prequel to warframe, or like a time travel thing where those things naturally exist, this feels like one timeline/universe bleeding into the other. like someone dropping into the 1999 reality and changing aspects to it or trying to function in that world with only the knowledge of their own
The black mist is described by albreicht as what constructs his memories around him, escaping his very skull. I’m assuming he can reality warp with the void tongue.
Bro really killed this lore I can't wait for this update I'm so excited
I wonder if the vessels are connected in any way to the giant head and arms of thrax in duviri and in the loading area in the border of the undercroft
The way my eyes shot open when u say loid and albretch were lovers like 😂
you're the goat, honestly
The man in the wall is basically Entrati as the god of this universe. When he opened the void he created the paradox. People have tried to decipher what he said at the end of the new war. Some agree he says in his own words, "I am the beginning and the end." I think Wally literally created the universe with the void tongue. Kinda like in the Bible. It's like the biblical apocalypse is coming 20,000 years late lol.
Ho shit, so the man in the wall is god imprisoned by his creations? That would be deeply concerning and creepy
The problem is that many parties’ goals are not concisely stated, making interpretation even harder. The void wants in to reality, and wants to change it, but that’s still very nebulous. Albrecht is doing mad science, and that’s also unclear.
When the tenno needed him most, the loremaster retuns!!
4:53 I am not as familiar with Warframe Lore Details as you, but the powers of the grimoire you are talking about:
This would either mean that Albrecht had access to some Void Powers or wasn't (fully) aware of the powers inside the book. Otherwise, I think he would have more careful with it.
1:04 that is one MASSIVE leap your taking there, i do a very simer action with my Mum who im extremely close to but we Definitely aren't banging.
based on the fact we see Albet much earlier in the timeline (1999) this pod was the last time they would be seeing each other likely already saying goodbye to his daughter in private before coming here, i see it more as a comforting gesture to someone he sees as a son, if i had to add words to this ied say ""i know, but don't worry i will be fine"" they are for all intent and purpose saying goodbye on someone's deathbed granted its time travel but the person is been removed from your life.
my theory is
warframe is a sequel to dark sector, the tecnocide was invented during the radiation wars and initially contained, and in the warframe universe the discovery of the void was probally the equivalent of the space race era, or the orokin era
but entrati couldnt trust himself, cause since his discovery of the void his doppelganger was acting behind his back, as him and manipulating the events that would lead to the rise and fall of the orokin empire, create the vessell program as a way to fight agaisnt wally trought eternalism but to no avail, them decided would be best to lock himself, as he knows he is a liability, and trusted loid to, if all else fails, find someone else that could keep this fight goin
The uncertainty of the curent story of the man in the wall, who entrati really is and all the past things that have transpired make me anxious and very interested.
If that's pre-Excaliber, dude kind of looks like Samuel Rodrigues from Metal Gear Rising.
HE HAS RETURNED
Loved the "twist" at the end if this quest.
When transferring control of the Vessel
Me- Imma fireing ma laaazoooor!!!
Game- imma comfort the man im gay fooooor!!!
😮
This reminds me of the mashed railjack video
Great video!! I am concerned a little about this update as it looks to far removed from the original warframe I know and love, however I am still cautiously optimistic for what is to come.
HE'S STILL ALIVE
Thumbs up before watching the video! 😌
StallordD videos are always good.
Something I think we need to remember is that the one who wrote the Necralisk journal entries wasn't sure if he was the original, or the mirror. If he was, he went through his life, wrote the journal entries about his fear of the Other, as if he were the original. What if he was protecting us from the original Albrecht, an Orokin unbound by the limits of our world of dust and matter?
I mean, its probably not it, but it's an interesting thought, no?
Are we sure the Sarcophagus is a transference pod and not something else? A time travel device damaged so he could turn himself into Schrodinger's Cat? It would fit considering he sealed his cat with him.
The matpat of warfram
Can we get an up to date explanation of the void? I'm watching and listening with intent and I just don't understand D:
Arthur is late....? Notice how we see TMITW smile AFTER the clock behind Albrecht strikes 12.00. Could it be the same thing like the Drifter gaining his void powers AFTER the event of Operator shaking hands with TMITW? Maybe Albrecht build the Vessels as a way to search a version of himself that did not had any contact with the void but BEFORE the event of Albrecht encountering TMITW. Maybe thats why he is late...
do you think youll make another entire lore recap anytime soon?
Return of the King
Is that how they're going to reboot the Dark Sector skins into canon, considering DE can't actually reference them anymore? Interesting.
Here a thought theory, Arthur is Specter.
omg its a StarllorD video!! aaaaah!!
Loid doesn't pilot the head, we/the Tenno do, our transference connection was switched from our warframe to the the Vessel head, seemingly leading us to experience 1999.
Not that head, the one Loid was connected to in his Sleeper pod before we wake him.
Is it relevant that Arthur seems really weak/low energy? If I recall, the Drifter mentions being tired in the Duviri quest (and Rell in CoH for that matter), so Arthur's fatigue could imply that he's been stuck in a loop, though he may not know it. Another thing I noticed is when Aoi says she wishes they could start over and find Dr. Entrati on day one... Seems relevant, but idk how
I think its silly that people are constantly connecting the scenes of us going into the Vessel and the subsequent scene of Arthur. We know for a fact (because DE said so) that the Whispers in the Wall demo was only the beginning of the quest, and if its anything like Chains of Harrow, another lore heavy end game quest, it'll be anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half long. We only saw, what, 20 minutes? So why do people think that the first 20 minutes of a quest is connected to what can only be a MASSIVE mainline quest coming next year? It just does not make any sense whatsoever. The transition was simply a fancy way of connecting the two unrelated scenes for the purposes of the trailer.
Yeeeeeeeeeeah baby
I do not know if I agree about the transition to the 1999 reveal being the actual thing that is happening when we transfer into the giant, I think it was just a transition used to start the next reveal, I don't believe they are actually related directly, but it's interesting if it is....
Interesting speculation. I know you said it may be very wrong, but I can see what you said holding true.
OOOOOOOOOO!
All I know is.....
I need Albrecht's drip....
warfame lore guy dropped
or just like umbra it is just pieces of memories
The vessel close-up transitioning to Arthur is probably not a linear set of events. It may be two different peices of lore, not so intimately connected.
it's becacuse of him i keep coming back to the game all the time; DE should sponsor you
I don’t think loid and entrati were lovers considering the fact he has a wife lol
Considering the Orokin were hedonistic immortals, I don't think it's a stretch to think they were polygamists, or at least had courtesans on the side.
@@StallordDif that was the case there would be more hints considering Mother and Loid exist at the same time, yet the standing of Loid is strongly implied to be a butler, think Batman and Alfred

I'm such a sucker for Warframe lore and sh8😭😭😭
Whenever StallorD uploads a video, the world rejoices.
This is a fact.

Albrecht Entrati
Just a coincidence?
Yoooooooo
Duviri release got me back into warframe. Im now more exited than ever for what's to come!
5 more days
Im curious if they are going to do anything with the rest of the deimos tileset since those technically also dig deep into deimos like albrechts lab. They could at least use an enctrachi architecture redesign.
1:13 a bit of a stretch, considering he has a daughter and that may imply he has a wife
Having a wife once does not preclude other lovers in the future, especially on the timescale the Orokin lived.
it felt forced honestly. we don't want your ideology to plague the rest of the world.
@@StallordDit still seems like to much of a stretch, as if someone loves someone it doesn’t always imply that they have a sexual orientation of that manner, for example, I love my friends, they are of the same sexual orientation as me, but this doesn’t mean I’m gay, it means I love my friends
I hate how Albrecht was disloyal to his wife who's still very much alive, I'd imagine she would not like him very much but. Ugh I can't imagine any scenario where she just takes kindly to another man taking her man.
AFAIK we don't know who Euleria's mother was. Grandmother is on Father's side in the family.
The man in the wall is probably for me at least one of the most terrifying thing I’ve seen for a while
1:00 I don't see anything romantic about this interaction, so to say its "strongly implied" is a bit of a stretch.
Edit: Having now played the quest yes they are very much gay, but that intial interaction still doesnt seem like more than albrech comforting a loved one.
I still see their relationship to be like Frodo and Sam's from TLOTR which was based off a military thing Tolkien would have experienced during WWI.
Not every person who shows care is in romantic love.
Why are people saying that Albrecht and Loid were lovers? Can a man just not adore a younger man like his own child?
That is mostly the case with every other "scientist-assistant" in fiction.
Always a good day when StallorD uploads a lore video
You got that right
