Three unknown British soldiers who died at Limestone Springs from injuries received in the battle are buried next to Limestone University in Gaffney. The flag of the Spartan Regiment who participated in the battle, after which Spartanburg was named, is on display at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia. There was a Jeopardy clue about the origin of Spartanburg’s name several months ago. I have heard that Cherokee County is the only county in the US with 3 national parks: Cowpens Battlefield, Kings Mountain Battlefield and the Overmountain Victory Trail.
