It's a good idea to clarify this in these videos, that the animal being fed is not actually wild and needs food from humans to supplement his diet on the island. Feeding truly wild orangutans or any wild animals is absolutely not OK (they don't need it, it's often very bad for them, can transmit diseases to them, and can cause problem behaviour) and should never be encouraged. I assume it's illegal in the orangutans' natural habitat anyway.

I am not sure if this is a prerelease island or the one sanctuary where they keep orangutans who can never be released into the true wilderness .
