    I love llamas I work landscaping and there's a house I do in the country that has a llama named lightning. I bring him apples everytime and now he runs to the truck whenever we show up. He will sometimes scoff at me but never spit. He still scoffs but he lets me pet him. I love him and I never forget to bring his apple.

    Llamas are not smarter than Alpacas, I've had both for for over 30 years. I dont know where people get this stuff. Dogs are smarter than llamas, horses are smarter than llamas. But if you wanted to train an alpaca to pack it would just as easy as with a llama.Everything you said about llama is true for Alpacas.
    Alpacas may not have been used for packing but they still need to be able to be handled so they could be shorn. A dare you to try and shear an alpaca that hasn't been handled and worked with. Llamas think fogs are dangerous to lambs, this is proof they are not very bright.

      I believe guanacos are the wild ancestor of the llama. There are no wild llamas - even in South America

      I worked with llamas & alpacas at my city zoo. In my experience, the humming is generally in response to feeling anxious about something.

    What do they mostly eat and how much?

    • @ancestralevolution
      @ancestralevolution  Před 3 lety +5

      They mostly eat grass and hay, just like sheep. It makes them easy to raise with sheep and much less expensive to feed than a dog.

    I'm just being made to think about similarities with the other side of The Pacific Ocean, in types of big wildlife, and livestock and foods, basic staples, legumes, and even about paint pigments and tools, weapons. Even jewelry in type of metals and stones Then comes types of homes, dwellings, and then pyramids.
