Walter Garber (Denzel Washington) is a New York City subway dispatcher whose ordinary day is thrown into chaos by an audacious crime: the hijacking of a subway train. Ryder (John Travolta), the criminal mastermind behind the hijacking and leader of a highly-armed gang of four, threatens to execute the train's passengers unless a large ransom is paid within one hour. As the tension mounts beneath his feet, Garber employs his vast knowledge of the subway system in a battle to outwit Ryder and save the hostages. But there's one riddle Garber can't solve: even if the thieves get the money, how can they possibly escape? - Krátké a kreslené filmy
during the kidnap scene we see the mother and her kid interacting with the man.
she asks "i thought you had one" and the guy immediately replies back "just because i'm some tough-looking black guy?"
she tells back "i saw that ring on your finger" and he says "that's from long time ago"
she then says "my husband had one just like it"
it is implied that she lost her husband, and he was one of the bravest, knowledgeable person she knew.
he stood up for her because she gave him that lost bravery, and he wasn't stereotyped like he was before.
I saw her as being selfish. As in "He has the ring imma lie and hopefully it works out" it did cause her and her kid survived but the guy might've died on a lie.
@@ramonmartinez7775 It was way before this happen.
lol sterotyped
@@ramonmartinez7775 Where tf would u get that from?
“You never see a U-Haul behind a hearse, Ryder. The Egyptians tried it, it doesn’t work.” Not sure why but I like this line.
What I love the most from this movie is the Ryder's character. He deserved an Oscars for that.
I watched this movie in the theater the year of its release. It was a good movie.
However, now that I'm watching this clip, I totally forgot there was a lot of heavy players in here ( Denzel Washinghton, John Turturro, JohnTravolta, James Gandolfini). We even had Gbenga Akinnagbe aka Chris Partlow in "The Wire".
Man I forgot about this movie its actually pretty good I'm gonna re watch it later.
very good movie, perfect cast, perfect score and about trains
That's why you blouse your boots.
My man Chris from the wire , still a solid
I miss movie like this
Tony soprano, the heck you doin heeere..
Some movies need to be re-released. Except Avatar. That’s been beaten like a dead horse.
you have 4 new avatar sequels to look forward to.. or not.
Hater
This movie is a re-release. It came out in the 70s
I ain’t dying for no random woman and her kid. Rip brother
Never My Nigga...She Wouldn't Take My Place If I Had My Kid With🤔
@@thapelosetshotlho no child should have to lose there mother to muder😔
@@malikmartin8755 I Feel You But He Lost His Life Unnecessarily🤷🏾♂️🤞🏽
@@thapelosetshotlho true he didn't deserve it
He was an ex soldier so it made sense why he would be compelled to do that.
No profressional sniper would ever display such poor trigger discipline
This scene paints a skewed version of Ryder. There are scenes with better dialogue where we get to see his religous fervor.
“Religious” how can he call himself a religious man when he legit killed 2 people and kidnapped multiple people.
Me to😢
"that's your fault! "
She didn't even look fazed by a dude getting blasted in the chest right in front of her and her kid.
Y this ain’t on Netflix 🤦♂️
It is now
"It's the only plan I got" So trying to take the gun didn't cross your mind?
And then get shot by the other two armed henchmen Ryder has?
@@ashowofhands9813 based on what happened, he should've taken his chances
Yeah that would have at least been better than just dying. Besides how does he know the guy isn’t just going to kill him and then kill the lady afterwards anyway?
train
Why were trains still passing on the neighboring track? With the previous version they made it clear that power was turned off on all the tracks rightly so for one thing you have everyone running around on the tracks and with the third rail still live, you could have a bad situation on your hands and secondly, it's probably not a good idea to have trains running next to another train being held hostage with people holding machine guns. And not to mention the tactical police teams on the tracks holding rifles.
Did John Travolta just save all of Baltimore from Chris? Damn now Mike won’t ever have his gangster mentor to turn him into the new Omar
All this talk of God I…I think I need to pray 😂
a sad movie the hero doesnt make it .😢
2:26
Imagine dying for a used poontang that you can't even use 😂
Don't lie
It would be interesting talking about God not one villain surprisingly didn’t mention that he’s nothing more than a narcissistic hypocrite
Lol great movie it was much easy to shoot a black man than a woman with a kid great movie
