- This video is all about how I transformed my daughter's hair from Henna red to Champagne Blond. She had used Caca Rouch henna from Lush for several years. It took two rounds of bleach, one round of hair dye, and lots of conditioning treatments in between the rounds and after. The whole transformation took us three days.
We used:
Bleach: BBlonde Jerome Russel: amzn.to/3dB6T7U
Hair-Dye: Knight & Wilson Pureplex Bond Reconstructing 8.01 Natural Ash Blonde Permanent Hair Colour: amzn.to/3v6qp24
Coconut Oil: (similar): amzn.to/3gxqlnY
Cantu Leave-In Conditioner: amzn.to/2QIwlPV

Take care, God bless! xx
The color is very flattering and looks natural. Great job!
Nice to see it can be done, I have been using henna the same amount of time and want to go back to my natural blonde. only problem is, my hair is to my tailbonde DX
Yes, it certainly can be done! However, it's not easy, and the process is not gentle on your hair. Make sure to take good care of it after, with good moisturising hair care products. The very best of luck to you!
Did it work out for you? I want to do the same but some people had good results and other people say it hardly budged and their hair starting breaking😭😭
@@trinitywilliams6728 I just let it grow out and then got highlights. It worked very well.
You're both so beautiful and you did such a great job 🥰
Thank you very much! 🥰
I love this ...kinda hard to hear with the music being louder than the voices
wow huge transformation but so nice suits her well
Thank you! Anja is very happy with her new look. 😊
Wow this is amazing I have never seen someone get henna out of their hair, and the final result is a beautiful colour !
Thank you very much, Stephanie Anne! 🥰
Thank YOU both very much! You are an answer to my prayers!
You're most welcome! I'm so glad you found the video helpful. 😊 The very best of luck to you!! xx
I can’t believe how well this turned out!!! Amazing job!
Thank you very much! :)
Good colour, although I preferred her red. The end do look rather frazzled. Maybe consider Olaplex? Although maybe the final picture isn't doing it justice? I do see that further on you say her hair looks good and strong - so perhaps my monitor is having an off day, lol! X
Yes, maybe so... ;)
I must have watched this video 10 times already hahah. I’m going to get my mum to do this for me next week when I visit her (I’m 24 but hey us girls will always ask mum for this type of thing 😂) Thanks for the inspiration! It turned out gorgeous. Did the hair get very damaged afterwards? I know people say it takes time for the true damage to show. Did Anya get a protein treatment ? Thanks x
Hey, @Mellon Collie, hats off for mums, right!?! We dive in wherever we're needed! 😂
Anja' s hair actually turned out absolutely great! It was a bit dry for a couple of weeks after, but she continued treating it with oils, masks and leave in conditioner. (No particular protein treatment).
The colour I used on her was so close to her natural colour, so she has let her hair grow out without doing anything else, and she looks beautiful!
The very best of luck with your hair, and send my love to your mum, as well! xx
@@jane_e_ldn thanks! She sends love back ahhaha. Thanks for your tutorial! My hair turned out fantastic and I'm so enjoying it. I pretty much followed the tutorial exactly 😁😁♥️
Thank you very much for sharing, I'm so, so glad you're happy with how your hair turned out!!! Take care and enjoy!!
Lush henna has a lot of other things added that's why you could lift it out! If you use other pure henna it's not this easy
I've seen other people use dandruff shampoo and vitamin c to pull out pure henna. It works but also takes several applications.
I love henna color but i wamt to back brpwn hair color cause i polish with chestnut henna hair color and now very healthy hair but very black how can remove little to make brown without demange
Hi @smile foryou, I'm sorry, but I can't advise you on this. May I suggest you ask a professional stylist or hairdresser to get a qualified answer, as I'm just a happy amateur. In this video, I only show what we did to get the henna out of Anja's hair. Sorry I can't be of more help.
The very best wishes, xx
I also use henna for almost 20 years, the brown one, but I m thinking more and more to going blonde one day as I m not far away from my 40s🥲I m very afraid to do it, as my hair is extremely fine and sensitive, the reason I never put chemical dye into it, I don t style it neIther dry it. I don t understand how it s possible that you ve put bleach two times in a row. I thought that is not allowed unless you wanna fry the hair. Very beautiful result, I m for the moment just dreaming😃
Please don't let age define you, it's just a number... Continue henna your hair if that's what makes you feel confident and comfortable ☺️ xx
There are great bonders like olaplex 1+2 or K18 that allow you to use bleach with minimal damage. I have bleached my hair 3 times in two weeks before and it was fine because of olaplex. Do it once, let it rest and do it again, if you're worried about damage. And definitely use a bonding product.
Great job. But double bleach and dye process? Heck to the naw. Plus no bond repair with Olaplex? 😳😳😳
I would have used Olaplex. Perhaps they did, or maybe decided against it?
We actually did, but a bit later on. :)
I got most of the henna out yesterday with color opps
Well done! ☺️
Yes I've done that in the past, but still was left with ginger honey blonde. That can be bleached though after resting the hair for a week or so?
What brand of box hair color did you use?
It was a cheap box dye I picked up at Superdrug, it's called Pureplex, and the colour is 8.01.
That's what I call a real professional, not the imposters we see at most hair salons
I use hanna on my hair bleaching mine is a lot of trouble it's dark brown and I have to use a 50 development otherwise my hair turns orange and my hair is always left severely damaged.
This sounds like a really harsh procedure for your hair, one that I personally would avoid repeating. Have you ever tried using Olaplex on your hair? My youngest daughter (not the one in this video) just bleached her light brown hair, as she wanted to go blonde. She used developer 40, and her hair became REALLY dry and frizzy. I've done some research, and I've bought the entire Olaplex range for my daughter to try out. Fingers crossed it might do some good to her mane. I'll let you know how it turns out in the end. :) Take care, xx
Oh, I know. I meant the bleaching with the 50 developer.
@@jane_e_ldn I'm trying it again now with Garnier bleach that lightens up to 8 shades
What products did you use to lighten the hair
I used regular packs of bleech that I bought on Superdrug. Strength 40 for the first round, and 30 for the second. 😊👍
Does anyone know if this process works for light mountain henna? I've been using it for a couple of years and I want to go back to my natural blonde, I'm super scared and nervous I'm going to ruin my hair and have to cut it all off...
I don't know about that one. Maybe do some more research or go see a professional hairdresser? Best of luck! :)
Hi there. I've dyed my hair with a level 10 dye. It turned out a honey,Golden, light brown.
I wish it would be more a blonde tone.
What do u think I should do? Use the same level or go for a 9 instead ?
Hi @Romy Van hoof, I'm sorry, but I can't advise you on this. May I suggest you ask a professional stylist or hairdresser to get a qualified answer, as I'm just a happy amateur. The very best wishes, xx
Hello Romy Van hoof! If your hair was dyed before, colour can't lift colour, only bleach can, so that could be why it didnt turn out very light. If you did have natural hair when you dyed it, then it should lighten because of the peroxide in the developer, but then it depends on what your natural hair colour is. Usually a box colour will only lift 1-2 shades so like Green Eclectics said, your best bet might be going to see a stylist.
Thanks for your input, Stephanie Anne. xx
Great job! Did the henna start showing a while after dying?
Thanks. 😊 That's why I bleached it twice, to make sure I really got rid of all the henna. xx
Thank you very much for the response! Have a nice day!
You too! 😊
My hair turned minty green after bleaching.
Same thing happened to me 🥲 I spent over 600 dollars in the past year trying to correct it. i only used henna once but I will never put it in my hair again
Yikes!... So sorry to hear that.
I'm sorry to hear it. Chemical reactions can be unpredictable, unfortunately... xx
Green is normally the result of using a henna that (possibly unbeknownst to you) had some Indigo in. If a henna product states that it will give you Chestnut or Mahogany for example, it's because some Indigo is in the mix to achieve a Browner look. Pure henna will only give red - although if used repeatedly over many months and years, it can slowly darken to a Browner look. You can avoid that by only doing your roots, and an all over treatment just occasionally. Another way is to do your roots, then add a load of conditioner to remaining henna mix and do a bit of a glossing on the lengths while the roots are cooking!!!
Good job ladies!!! 👍😍😍😍
Thank you so much 😀 xx
I was told one you color with regular hair color you hair Brakes. Can you have a follow up
Sorry, this was just a one off kinda thing. xx
Lady on left with henna?
Yup, the red hair is henna dyed :)
What type of henna did she have on her hair?
Caca Rouge from Lush. :)
This is what I use! Good to know I can in fact bleach it out 🥰
@@katiexbetty Sure thing! 😊 Remember to be gentle with your hair and treat is well with good hair treatments after. Best of luck! 🥰
@@jane_e_ldn definitely going to be investing in a quality hair mask for this x
Please cut the music. It's distracting and too loud.
Sorry, I was completely new to video making when I did this, I've luckily improved 😉
The music is so overbearing and I couldn’t hear you that well . Why the big music
Hi Lisa, Thank you for your feedback. I'm aware of the background music being too loud on this video, and I'm very sorry about this. It was a beginner's mistake, and I've improved the quality of my videos now. All details about what I used on Anja's hair is to be found in the description box. Take care, xx
I also used henna for long time after I get bored of my red hair so I bleach my hair too blond but it really damage the hair 😭 you need to be careful
I don't mean to be mean but 45min of bleach is too much and you risk burning your hair, especially if done several times and obviously she needs to cut quite a bit of hair cause it's looking very damaged, especially the ends. I wouldn't recommend doing this.
We were both aware of the risk, followed the instructions on the packs, and took good care of Anja's hair between each step and after, with hair masks and oils. Her hair became quite dry still, which was expected, but we worked with this over the next few weeks, and it came out absolutely great! Anja's hair is strong, shiny and healthy looking.
I can't recommend anything, as I'm not a professional hair stylist, I'm just showing what we did.
You literally criticized her audio quality and successful bleaching of henna. You commented mean things twice. Lol why? What is your problem? This was a great video and she did an excellent job of bleaching over henna. Others have done WAY more bleach and still didn’t get nearly as good results because henna is extremely difficult to get rid of.
Thank you! The main reason why I posted this video, is that I had done sooo much research online on how to remove henna, without really finding any good videos or examples of people that had succeeded with this, at all. So when I bleached and dyed Anja's hair, and actually did manage to get rid of the henna, I wanted this video to perhaps give hope to other people struggling with the same issue.
Again, I have already pointed out that I'm not a professional hair stylist, just showing what we did. And both Anja and myself are really happy with the results. No more henna!
Have a great day, take care! :)
@@jane_e_ldn Yes, trust me I know! I have henna on my hair and I am also in the process of going back blonde. I have been doing research for months and you’re right it’s so hard to find anything online with pictures or video evidence. You did an excellent job! Great video! 💕
@@maidenmothercrone3790 Thank you very much, I really appreciate it! The very best of luck with your process of going back to blonde. :)
That much bleach may also destroy many peoples hair.
Dear @spiritosa0123, As I have explained before, Anja and I were both aware of the risk, followed the instructions on the packs, and took good care of Anja's hair between each step and after, with hair masks and oils. Her hair became quite dry still, which was expected, but we worked with this over the next few weeks, and it came out absolutely great! Anja's hair is strong, shiny and healthy looking. I can't recommend anything, as I'm not a professional hair stylist, I'm just showing what we did.
Please try to improve your audio quality for the next videos.
Thanks for the feedback, I am working on it! Just got a new camera, so my next one will hopefully be much better. 😊👍
Yes! I think the background music is too loud. Along with ambient noise it’s hard to hear the dialogue.
