This run actually went super well, I was originally planning on just doing one attempt at this, but then my previous attempt lost 5 minutes to a really strange bug, but was otherwise very fast, so I decided to try again, and improved by over 7 minutes lol. Without all the bonus missions this would be a 2:19:42, so just a little bit slower than my any% veteran time.

Nice work, but bonus missions included it’s entirely within the realm of possibility for a documented run to reach well below sub-3hr, namely around 2:40 to 2:30 even; I should know b/c I attempted runs back in IW’s prime & accidentally did that off-stream 😅😂🤣 it should’ve just been a practice run & it ended up being an uncreated, but also technically unbeaten, unofficial world record lmao
Still an amazing run nonetheless! I’m only typing this as I watch from the start but I’ll come back to edit it when I’ve seen the entire run ^_^

But more seriously, I think it's because the timing methods have changed, iirc back then any time you were watching a cutscene wasn't timed, now it's only loads that are removed, making the runs >20 minutes longer or something.

@@Ethan.YT. The run was fairly good too, but sadly I'm not sure if sub 3 hours is really possible without better strats, or maybe getting insanely lucky.
Have you tried to speed run it on the Hardest difficulty?
Nothing beyond veteran no.

Yes I did see that it was beaten. That's what happens when a record stands for long enough, new strategies get found, more attempts get put in, etc. I don't know when I will try and get it back, I'm more interested in this game right now.
