I've never owned a JQ product but I find myself rooting for him anyway. He had a good shot at taking round 2 here but I think the nerves got to him he got a little sloppy when he got the lead. You gotta admire someone who makes there own car and starts a company from it just cuz he thought he could make it better. Keep at it JQ, you're always quick just not as consistent.

I hope I make it to Reedy Race of Champions, even if I am dead last, as long as I get to participate in this amazing race, thats named after a figure of rc racing!! :)
jesus Christ, ryan c.'s pass at 12:55 was a thing of beauty. im glad losi got maifield, but man I would love to see them somehow sign cavalarie. that guy gets around you when your running clean, then gaps you while your running clean. if 10th scale 4wd has a Jeremy McGrath, goat, or bubba, it would have to be ryan c.
What's causing the back end to drop mid air? I'm here because of a recent Reddit/Imgur post so I'm not familiar with RC cars/racing. Normally it would seem like they should be landing nose down. With these cars you can see the nose drop and followed by them leveling out, given the jump is high enough.
Generally, if you hit the break mid air, the nose comes down, and if you slam the throttle mid air, the nose comes up. (it seems like the rear goes down)
Josh Fuente I get why it goes forward (forward rotation on the wheels) but was unsure why they would level out sometimes afterwards before touching down. I assumed they werent reversing mid air.
Touch My Lemon They want to land from a jump with all four wheels touching the surface at the same time so they can accelerate more quickly. Not reversing, reverse is not allowed in racing. They are just tapping the brakes to lower the nose to get the attitude just right.
also most of these drivers are from 1/8 nitro so respect that if the nose is pointing down the air is hitting the shell at the right angle to push the car down when in mid air and that is good because it means you can go faster over a jump and not fly off too high and as others say when you accelerate the car balances and whrn you accelerate the rear drops (raising the front)
MrKillervincent, that is a really good point. I've noticed the 1/8 guys jumping way nose low and then bringing the front up before they land. I was wondering why, but you're right, it would cause a lot of downforce.
Associated, Losi, pretty sure they are 1/10scale 4x4. Not the fastest class but handle really well. Was in a race where Tessman was racing. Jeez that kid is good. He lapped me 3 times in an 8 minute race

I've been racing 4 years and went to a race hosted by Ty Tessman. He lapped me 3 times in a 8 minute race. He's pretty good...lol.

I raced off road RC cars in the late 80's. Wow its really changed since then!
Lipo batteries, brushless motors, these cars weigh about 1.5 lbs (or so). The fastest are the 1/8 scale. These are 1/10 scale
