34 people made this game. This is why games were so good back then. There was a clear cut vision to these classics, everyone was on the same page. Everyone worked together, everyone collaborated, they were a team. They wanted to make something to be proud of, they were passionate and they were gamers themselves. Now a days games are out sourced to 5 different studios in India and China. There’s thousands of people making a single Call of Duty or The Last of Us, there isn’t a singular vision anymore from a tight knitted group of passionate gamers, the vision for modern games comes from a dozen men in suits who only care about exploiting as much money as possible from the consumer - and that’s what these business men call us now, “consumers” instead of gamers. These small developer teams of passionate gamers still exist, but the difference is they lack the funding and resources to make games like Jak and daxter. That’s why so many of them just make 2D games.

Weird that they didn't use music from the game or have something composed that was similar to the music in the game.

I think the song was used to capture the overall visual beauty of the game. I mean, it's got a seamless open world with new things to see around every corner. Not to mention numerous visual aesthetics. If that isn't beautiful enough, I don't know what is.

I personally would've used a more peaceful song from the game, maybe like, Sentinal Beach

Wow I actually remember the Trailer from the Demo Disc that came with my PS2 and if it hadn't been for that AMAZING song (and how well it DOES FIT, like the footage being peaceful and full of wonder and JOY... Shit the song IS called "In an Ocean of Joy" after all) I wouldn't have rewatched it as many times as I did to the point of realising "Oh shit this is Naughty Dog who made Crash on the PS1 which is my FAVOURITE... DAY 1 BUY" so honestly I think your bloody 100% wrong 🤷‍♂️
