    I LOVE the fact that you used items that most people wouldn't think of for these flowers... More items repurposed = Less in the land fills!!! :-) The flowers are beautiful, Tfs!!! :-)

    Hi Olive! Yes, they really are very simple to make! They look more complicated than they are... while I do have more complicated (or rather mor time consuming) procedures... these simple types are my favorites, and they lend themselves well to corsage making, bridal and wedding accessories,
    Good luck, and many blessings with your upcoming wedding! Emi

  • @Hectanooga1
    @Hectanooga1  Před 11 lety

    Yes, just make a bigger circle... and it all depends on the material your purse if made of whether or not the hot glue will work...hot glue holds better on certain fabrics.... most fabrics it works really well, because it penetrates the surface. If it's a slick surface, sometimes hot glue doesn't work as well.

    Thank you alot! I painted cookie box and added some fabric around it, but the paint coluldn't cover the letters from the box which were bigger, so i put a few flowers on it,and it turned out beautiful,like a jewelry box you can find in any store! (sorry because of any mistakes, i don't really speak english)

  • @Hectanooga1
    @Hectanooga1  Před 11 lety

    Yes, some of the tutorials can be done with white glue, if you can place them down and leave them untouched while the glue dries... or you can buy silicone glue which has grab, or Alene's Tacky Glue... it all depends on which flower you are making.

    You could singe the edges if you like... depending on the fabric used, some fray more than others. The fraying adds a shabby chic look, but for a more controlled flower, yes, you could singe the edges.

  • @Hectanooga1
    @Hectanooga1  Před 11 lety

    Have fun, these are very easy!!

  • @Hectanooga1
    @Hectanooga1  Před 11 lety

    Hmmm... well, maybe it you add a circle of white glue, then put hot glue in the center of the circle.. you will get the strength of both glues. (And the good part of that would be that if it does come off, it will likely peel off the outside coating of the purse... and then, the hot glue will work, because the underneath of "leatherette" has a more porous material.

    I used polyester lining... they type of fabric used to put a lining into coats, or skirts. Lightweight is what I used, but any type of polyester will work. (Actually any type of fabric will work for this flower, even tshirt knit, or denim.)
