Cheeka, Primary reason for test cricket flourishing in England and Aus is because they play in set traditional venues and during set seasons..If we revive our traditional venues and bring back Pongal Test etc, we will see crowds back in India... In the name of taking test cricket to hinterlands, they are actually diluting it in India..take T20s, and ODIs to non test venues and let the tests be played in set 6 venues depending on the season..also having that set even opposing teams will know before hand what type of wickets to expect and prepare for it.. interest in Test Cricket will revive only by playing competitive cricket that goes 5 days not one sided games..
KL not required for T20 there are enough options. Ruturaj can play KL's role

With options like Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, and KL Rahul, I think we should go with Gaikwad or give a surprise option of Abhishek Sharma and Jaiswal. Then, go with Gaikwad, and Pant and SKY can come in. I would prefer Rinku Singh or Sanju Samson to play rather than having all-rounder Dube. With good teams, as Cheeka said, Dube's bowling won't be given much priority, so our option of an all-rounder is lost. We do have Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya as all-rounders. I would say go with four or five proper bowlers. We do have Axar and Hardik, who can bowl 8 overs between them. An all-rounder has to bowl at least 1 or 2 overs in 75% of the matches. Dube can bowl in ODIs, but in T20s, he can be very expensive, with a bowling economy of 9.6. Hence, I would like to have a proper batter like Rinku or Sanju Samson, as Sanju Samson is also a terrific fielder compared to Dube. I like Dube, but just because he bowls, I don't find space for him in the team ahead of Rinku Singh or any other specialist batsmen.
