This error is a result of not updating the information about the Al-Ghawazi family and the Gypsy tribe in Egypt. Although recent research results confirm that there are many differences between them. In this video, I explain the most important points that emphasize these differences.

I don't know what Ghawazi you interviewed, but they all come from India as far as I know. My research has traced them all back to Nawar, Sinti and Romani. The musicians are from different areas and sometimes are non-gypsies. I think you need to interview Khariya Mazin and some of the Bahlawan dancers.

As you know, there are methods we use in our research to arrive at results. I found that most of the foreign researches missed some points by the research procedure which leads us to more hidden or wrong points. The first procedure is the missing of Arabic references in most of the research papers, and vice versa in some Arabic research as well.
There are also some differences between the ordinary researcher and the scholar through the construction of the research, as we cannot base our conclusion on a talk from one person unless he is the only one. However, his information is highly questionable.
In our case, Khairiya Mazin's information is very good for ordinary researchers but not for scholars regarding her life conditions as a dancer living in a society that rejects this kind of art. Therefore, she always tries to raise her social standing within the society, sometimes using the method of concealment and sometimes the method of intimidation.
The human distribution of the gypsy tribes can show us clearly very important points, such as the communication between them, their way of life, their type of work and their position within the societies in which they live. Almost all gypsy lifestyles are the same in the world, which is quite different from the Ghawazi who are only in Egypt. This point indicates that there is a difference between the Gypsy community and the Ghouwazi community. Also, the history of both indicates that one used the other in some kind of business.
I was curious as to whether "Gypsy" people are treated differently and not allowed in cities and villages, if this is part of the situation.
