Blasters in Hero Showdown are literally game-changing. A lightsaber duel between the 4 players is simple enough, but if someone goes a blaster it changes a lot. Blasters such as Boba, Phasma, Chewie, and Lando all just make the game more annoying because Chewie specifically is an annoyance due to his explosives, but the other 3 will just beam you down on sight. A lightsaber duel becomes a “multitask between a guy across the map beaming you and the guy with a laser sword that’s right in front of you” duel.
Now, im not saying this like I’m a diehard lightsaber user who hates blasters, because I love playing blasters a lot, it’s just interesting how much they change the game for lightsaber heroes. Also blaster v blaster matches are just watered-down galactic assault matches.
