If ur gonna do sunlight back up u may as well at least put a min 3 kW batt in there. It's still a lot of work to setup the power switch etc for just sunlight backup.
My house tends to idle around 600Watts During the day (we are a work from home family) and my solar is currently exporting to the grid by quite a lot during peak sunlight (even in winter) so I want to put that extra energy to use and cover the gaps between clouds and in the evening buy some time off the battery, how will the 3T work say if I put on the kettle which is 2500W. will it take 1.1KW from the battery and 1.4KW from the grid? because if so that's okay! also If I am using around 600Watts constantly does that mean the 3T fully charged will provide power for roughly 5 hours?
at 600w average use, you'll get about 5 hours of energy from the 3T. I am getting sunlight backup installed and trying to squeeze out last bit of my cash to put in a 3 battery just so I have it.
It’s not a matter of will it charge it, it all depends on HOW MUCH CHARGE it will provide a car and how long it takes to charge before the battery is empty
No it would not, we can couple with an IQ8 inverter and discuss other option for full home backup Please email info@mysolarsolutions.co or txt 619.957.8795 to request more info

That's the red pill truth about batteries, especially in Texas where I live: it's not enough Amps for the initial draw of a standard A/C compressor. If the grid was down and the sun was out, the combined amperage of your solar AND 10kW battery might get you going. But if you wanna live in comfort in the summer off grid, it's very expensive and you'll need a lot of Batteries.
It’s about $15k per 10KWH battery so it would be about $60k Only time I would justify investing in more than 1 battery is if the home Experiences multiple blackout that affect your income (say people who work from home) or your health (people who need medical devices) Batteries are commonly seen as a luxury and are priced as one. As blackouts become more common I think the batteries could become more affordable and that will be the new incentive to go solar instead of the federal solar tax credit which is going away
Enphase rules 😊 Great product and customer service.

Question at 10:32 I believe he said that with a IQ Battery 10 the AC would still work in the day if the system was big enough and also used safely.

Why is there not an option for 3 Encharge batteries? Is it pointless to get 3
You can get up to 4.
Enphase has the following battery sizes
3kwh
10KWH
20kwh
30kwh
40kwh
Will an iq10 charge an EV vehicle at night?

Would a 10kw battery sustain a variable speed ac unit?
Most likely no depends on the required starting draw

@@mysolarsolutions_ What if the homeowner has a 3ton AC unit and there is a soft starter installed to bring down the amp by 60%? Could it work then?
