I've had so much trouble finding proper instructions for coax strippers. For example, the online Jaycar catalog, there was no manual, no instructions, no info on the manufacturer, just the description: "Simply rotate the stripper clockwise around the cable 3 to 6 times." It's been the same Mouser, Digikey, Cinch.... To make matters more difficult, I want to make cables with RG-316DS, which isn't nearly as common as the thicker cables. I had ordered one of these tools (before seeing this video), and had no idea it was intended to be opened.
Had no idea it was this versatile! Thank you for the video!
thank-you for this!
Thanks - great video with good explanation on what does what and how to change it.

this does take a little practice and a little fine tuning of that tool. so be patient with yourself.
Nice video. I thought you mentioned you have your blades set at A and D for RG 58? Any idea what the correct blade spacing would be for RG6?
Hi! Hold your connector you're going to use up to the drawings on the tool! Then make a match with the blades.
