Lawn Yellow? It Is MOST Likely This!

I’m getting a lot of questions about seed stalk. Is it normal? Why am I getting bad mow cuts? How do I get rid of it? What causes it?
Normal for new grass/ sod, healthy and happy grass and also happens if the lawn is stressed.
Bad cuts are from how hard seed stalks are for the mower to cut. They slow the mower blades down enough to cause it to not cut properly for regular grass. Thus tearing your lawn like not sharp Mower blades. This is why I recommend sharpening mower blades in spring, after seed stalk and middle of august ( minimum).
Seed stalk goes away naturally, but you can mow it a notch or two lower and then let it grow above it and it will get rid of it it’s self. Best way.
Reasons it happens:
1-So new grass or over seed / sod,
2-super happy and healthy grass (when it was previously neglected)
3- Stressed grass that feels it’s going to die will produce seed head.
