What is ASMR? According to Wikipedia:
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), sometimes auto sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson.
ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.

my grandfather introduced me to the double Windsor knot some time ago, it is quite an elegant and professional look as it is very symmetrical. i recommend it very much. 😎

I really loved when you took the stripped and patterned style Ties and gently brought them down the screen to show us, it was almost a hypnotic effect. This is legit the trigger I never knew I needed.

You are the epitome of elegance. Suddenly I was remembering childhood ASMR in the shoe-store when the gentleman would measure our feet with the metal slider tool and bring out boxes full of new shoes wrapped in tissue paper. You fitting our shoes…oh! I can only dream.

My dear Doctor, I find myself returning to this video over and over again, whenever my insomnia has kept me up for days on end, and I am beyond exhausted. It’s just so extraordinary in every way. First and foremost, there is your voice; so soothing, so calming, so comforting. Maybe it’s my background in music, but for me the most powerful and potent trigger is the spoken word, particularly when it is spoken so beautifully and so hypnotically as you do here. I cannot overstate the perfection that is your voice! And while auditory triggers tend to be much more powerful for me than visual triggers, your use of your necktie collection created tingles for me that I have not experienced for quite some time. The way you slowly pass the patterned fabric of each tie in front of the camera is absolutely mesmerizing. This was such an incredibly inspired theme for an ASMR video, in every imaginable way. I also really love to see you spreading your creative wings like this, and exploring the world outside of optometry and all things eyes. I hope you will continue to experiment like this, trusting your creativity and imagination, and your extraordinary natural instincts. Whenever you do so, the results are masterpieces such as this. This is another great video, I am also a bit of tie nut and really love some of the ties you've pulled out for this video. Particularly like the floral tie, it pops but it's also tasteful, like you I love my collection of red silk ties with a white or blue shirt as I am a bit of an extrovert. I had just graduated from law school and was on my way to training as a barrister when I fell in love with ties and tie colour psychology and choice for different social situations. Dark blue or pink is great for medical professionals during consultations. :-)
