#TheHitchhikersGuidetotheGalaxy - Zábava
He (Slartibartfast) continued: "I should warn you that the chamber we are about to pass into does not literally exist within our planet. It is a little too... large. We are about to pass through a gateway into a vast tract of hyperspace. It may disturb you".
Arthur made nervous noises.
Slartibartfast, touched a button and added, not entirely reassuringly, "It scares the willies out of me. Hold tight".
The car shot forward straight into the circle of light, and suddenly Arthur had a fairly clear idea of what infinity looked like.

❤️
I seriously need to read this book
@@polarisukyc1204 It's a *trilogy* - with *4* parts. Proving that the fabric of the universe is not irreparably TORN, only tied into logic - defying knots.
Without a doubt, the best piece of world-building I've seen in cinema!
Ba-dum-tsh
i see what you did there...
Douglas would be proud
harty har har
Really seems like they took the time and put in the work.
I was always a bit disappointed they didn't do a sequel. Slarty has more of a presence in the later books, and Bill Nighy's portrayal of him is just brilliant.
Plus we eventually get to find out why the bowl of petunias thought, "Oh no, not again."
The house parties
I would have loved a sequel, but unfortunately the first didn't make any money in the cinemas. Such a shame as I would have loved to have seen "Resturant at the End of the Universe" brought to life as a movie
1:19 that head shaped planet has Douglas Adam's features as a tribute.
Woah, after all these years, I never noticed that! Nice catch on that one. :D
Nobody:
Me showing my minecraft creations in creative mode.
Martin's reaction paired with the effects and score make "welcome to our factory floor" one of my top 5 favorite cinematic moments. Probably top 3. Especially considering that he must have been looking up at a green screen.
I thought the cgi and the concept.of this clip were so beautiful. Just loved it.
This scene made me cry for some reason.
You know something you have yet to consciously realize perhaps.
It reminded you of Compy 386?
Maybe for a few seconds you felt the magnificence of the World and then realised that it means nothing. :) Remember your towel!
I don't get teary eyed, but it gives me goosebumps everything.
I love that he doesn't have existential crisis that all he believes was a lie
A true curious mind of an explorer lives for the questions of the mysteries,
not the answers. tho its part of it, it is the question and the unknown that drives us.
It is the journey, not the destination.
"I'd much rather be happy than right any day"
this recreation of the universe not only means infinite life, but It could also mean brand new worlds such as the mushroom kingdom. This part really cheered me up. REJOICE FOR NEW WORLDS!!
Which brings the question to mind, If you could have a second chance and do it all over again, would you do things differently? With all my regrets in life, I wouldn't change a single thing... Well, maybe that time I had all those regrets in my life, but knowing me, I'd still make the same mistakes...
this is how there are so many animal crossing islands
This is very much the humor and philosophy of an old society, very British. The American version of this would be more fast paced and suspenseful.
The humour is verbal and quick-witted. The American version took all the humour out of it and turned it into an unrecognizable version that was mainly a 3rd rate love story. I guess they thought American's wouldnt get the humour or thought. If you see "an old society" in snappy repartee, completely unfair treatment of Arthur Dent, criticism of bureaucracy, remarkable knowledge of space and time, intelligence, and wit and satire and social criticism as old society, then I'll take the Old society anytime.

Really? I don’t see it as being verbal, I see it as cerebral. The humor isn’t in the delivery, which is plain and matter-of-fact. That’s British humor: madness served up on an ordinary plate. I don’t mean “old” as “old-fashioned”, I mean it as experienced and just a tad weary and cynical.
Let that be a lesson, every person you know from Norway, remind them that they have Slarty Bartfast to thank for that.
You know it's not a joke or fantasy right? Just look at the giant multidimensional starforts that Norway cities and canals are built upon, you think humans built them? They're actually country and continent sized. And they're all over this realm. Though most glaring in Norway, Finland, Sweden Italy, Japan, NY, Australia, New Zealand, Montreal, Toronto, etc etc, every city is built upon an already existing circuitry of some kind, whether it be star fort or other type of dimensional grid. We are the lab mice, that's for certain:/
Reminds me of a DMT breathrough. Every time I eat a quarter of mushrooms and watch this I’m convinced this is a documentary about our simulation but it’s higher dimensional.
There banter is so entertainign and I think they captured the authors intent. EXCEPT FOR THE DOORS SIGHING THEY DIDNT DO IT RIGHT. Its supposed to sound like when you walked 20 miles and finally sat down. Or like when a runner is done jogging and they are trying to breath slow.
I saw this movie at my childhood but I forgot name of this movie and I searched for this movie the whole time whenever I remember this earth creation scene and I finally got this
same
I’ve had it on DVD for over 10 years. In my top three, behind Fear and Loathing and Up in Smoke.
Same
One of the best scene's in the film. The acting is great and the music perfect. Don't forget Towel Day on May 25th.
i love how theres just the one guy filling the oceans
The finest visual approximation of "oh f@ck it, no turning back now" I've yet seen on film
Man... gotta go back and watch this, soooo good.
I truly believe this.. What we think of as gods are just humans or other species further evolved by billons and billions of years they the ones who made our planet
The simulation hypothesis
though just a reminder, Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy is meant to be Science Fiction
But who made them in the first place?
Bill Nighy,,as always,is brilliant!
Love them both so much.
I hope this film gets re-released on IMAX one day so that we can see this amazing scene on a large screen.
Re-Creation, is both devastation and fascination of a factory reset, that blows one away by the very nature of itself.
When your friend shows you his build in creative mode on minecraft
It’s my head cannon that Arthur froze to death on Margrathea, and this is an angel taking a form that he’ll understand explaining the history of creation as he takes him to heaven (a place of eternal paradise, i.e his old home, some tea, and his friends- which was all he ever wanted),
Amo este filme...
TY.
This was the best scene in the movie.
Veeeery good!I love this movie❤❤
You'll love the book even more.
this is wonderfully adapted imo
I've always had this theory that Slateribartfast is "God" and the Bible just interoperates in a way that makes it easier for humans to understand :D
1:02 Why does this planet always make me think of Corusant being built??
I've just realised who Tennant modelled his Doctor on
Arthur Dent or Slartibartfast? Or both?
We need blu ray quality
Bilbo Baggins of the shire.
So cute😍🥰
It's all TRUE TOO!
@@listen2meokidoki264 Remember
Hitckhikers Guide to the Galaxy is fictional, but still great
Did Cinefex ever do a piece on this?
Alien: Hey, Mr. Uh...
Sonic: Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog.
Alien: like the fast Sonicsonic the Hedgehog.
Aha. Hobbits know how worlds are built.
Is it just me or does anyone else think that Slartibartfast is some kind of God
a same that there wasn't a part 2, just recast a couple dead players and sould continue.
Hahahaha, HAPPY RAMADAN!!!
I can’t unhear Saint Germain from Castlevania
I remember watching this at the cinema at 8 years old and finding out about that this was that movie 17-18 years later now. Had to convince my dad to go just because I loved the space theme. Looking back now, the movie was absolutely bland, and now I rewatch it and understand that my opinion hasn’t changed. Moreover, I marvel at how actors are essentially paid to lie and how much bs stories out there people gladly watch and see and at the same time refuse to believe in God, whose presence is absolutely obvious. Anyway, may Allah help you out
qt
con esto alimentarias a galacta de marvel sin ningun problema de matar inocentes
This is like something that came out of Rick and Morty 😂😂
Typical American revision. Lots of expensive special effects, and drained of the humour. The part about the mice, for e.g. In the original, Arthur refers to "whiskers, cheese, and women standing on chairs". They've taken out "women standing on chairs" bec. it's considered "sexist", I guess. I believe Slarty says "I dont know what yo mean about women standing on chairs", whereas "I dont know what you mean about cheese" is not the least bit funny
actually this is not a american movie, but british one. Problem is not movie itself, but is that is based loosly only by first book of book series, which were based on popular radio show.
No, the line was "Mice to me mean the little white furry things with the cheese fixation and women standing screaming on tables in early Sixties sitcoms." followed by "Remember I have been asleep inside this planet of Magrathea for five-million years and know little of these early Sixties sitcoms of which you speak."
It wasn't a very good gag really and was likely removed because it's a very dated reference. But the writer should have made more an effort than the cheese line.
