He said that he not only learned to respect elders but also to respect where food comes from. Hearing this most people thing of the earth and farmers but chef Kwame also applies this concept to people and culture.
I remember the first time this Black chef dared to charge fine dining prices for his food, and the DC food establishment swatted him like a fly, like they were offended he even DARED. It was disgraceful, and I'm SO GLAD to see him getting the recognition - and RESPECT - he deserves. Next time I'm in New York, I'll be eating at Tatiana. 💕
